One of the best in London Easily one of the best restaurants in London. Everything is sublime. The food is perfect, beautifully presented and cooked. The service is too. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Great wine list. I have been coming to this restaurant for years and it never fails to impress.

This was a double celebration and was truly memorable.we took our own wine and paid corkage and the food was excellent. Although it was a tasting menu, which I don’t normally favour this was a good, hearty dinner. Three starters (effectively) all vegetable based including a divine carrot dish. A lobster dish, a scallop dish which made a lovely fish course, while everyone else had fallow deer, I had a wonderful short rib. The meal was rounded off with a quince mousse and a rhubarb tartlet. The room is pleasant but not opulent and the service was knowledgeable and friendly.

We visited here for a lunch and I must say the whole experience was outstanding. The welcome, the service, the food, and even the price were all spot on. The ambience the place offers at lunch time, I can only imagine would be tenfold in the evening. It was my wife's second visit, and my first, and I can say we will be back but this time to try the evening.

We loved every moment of our special occasion dinner at Five Fields! The restaurant is small, quiet, and serene. The staff are polished and refreshingly Unobtrusive - each course of our prixe fixe menu arrived in perfect unison but with none of the pretentious “fanfare” many other expensive restaurants choose to display. Most important, of course, the food is fabulous, inventive, and gorgeous. Standouts on the night we dined were the potato course and the later fallow deer offering. We chose the less expensive wine pairing (£105) - excellent and we appreciated sommelier Nuno’s gracious, comprehensive explanations of each choice. Definitely will return when we’re ready for another Very Posh dinner!

Lunchtime tasting menu - we were a party of 4. Fantastic range of courses by way of style, presentation and taste. Special mention to Chris the Wine manager who made the experience all so much more interesting with his explanations of what was being offered with each dish - thoroughly recommended. With regret I am not giving this 5 green dots as the reception was poor - the maître d' being adamant that there was no booking in my name (iPad in hand), when in fact I had confirmed the exact requirement the previous evening. Was seriously taken aback by this. At nearly £200 a head I don't expect this sort of careless admin error (hint: before service just scan across the names OR use a paper based copy).

I had read the ecstatic reviews and for some time lunch wasn’t available. Then when our group of six were finishing a lunch at another restaurant it was our turn to choose and for our selected date a table for six was available. Great, I looked forward to it. The week of our booking I was surprised not to receive a confirmation call. So I called them, apparently my booking was fine but they hadn’t taken contact details. On the day a work problem prevented one of our party from attending. No problem we were politely told, we would be charged for the sixth person and their food would be served to the table. Lots of staff, attentive service, excellent food yet a feeling that we were not quite worthy customers of this restaurant. One of my grit had researched the wine list online and remarked that there seemed to be very little under £60 per bottle. He was advised that he could have found something close to £40 with diligent searching. So we left having spent £170 per head feeling we hadn’t had value for money. The food was interesting and innovative, the wine we selected very palatable yet we all felt it was not an experience we would repeat. Still, next choice of restaurant is with a grit and their are lots more in London,

I can honestly say the food and drink were exquisite. We particularly enjoyed the lobster, deer and roasted scallops. The flavours and textures went together really well and we loved how fresh the ingredients were. The Sommelier really knew his stuff, we enjoyed learning about the wine pairings and the detail behind how each was made, it was truly fascinating and really added to the dining experience. I loved the little touches that for me really elevated the experience. The aromatic white truffle brought to the table covered with a beautiful cloche which was then freshly grated over our dish intensified the truffle aroma. Service was impeccable. This little gem really exceeded my expectations and we’re looking forward to seeing the summer menu.

We were incredibly lucky to have experienced a gourmand ‘cook off’ between the Chef patron and the visiting chef, Paul Liebrandt. There were 8+ courses prepared alternatively by each Chef - it was wonderful. Service, as usual, was fantastic! A culinary treat.

This was a experience we want to forget . The price was huge and that’s OK if its a great experience but his was dreadful . Do not waste your money. . Really disappointing food , and we had the prestige wine pairing most of which was indifferent to say the least . Re food they had tried to make something of beetroot , kolrahbi ( a species of turnip ) , potato ( truffle was offered at £70 per person extra ) all for which totally failed. .The flavours of other better ingredients e.g an oyster , were destroyed by inappropriate combinations.e.g more raw beetroot . There was an excessive effort to create small bites that tasted of very little and not a single item could be classified as really flavourful .The desert , an apple soaked in sugar, was particularly inedible as it was so excessively sweet , even for the most sweet toothed member of our party, The wines were mostly very disappointing and not up to the standard they should be in such an expensive restaurant . We came here some years ago and it was great but it has lost its way .

This has to one of the best meals we have ever had the joy to eat. The service was perfectly paced 3.5 hours, the food all 8 courses were sized so you could eat every bite and the contrasts just sublime. We up graded on the white truffle, well worth it and the 2000 Barolo. We had the premium flight, upgraded on most things so not inexpensive but worth every penny and some marvellous memories. The food comes from their own kitchen garden and is managed by a heritage garden scholar. This is a save up and enjoy place. Pace yourself. I think it rates up there for another star. Not a bad word to be said about this place.

Arrived for a weekday lunch to a trio of welcomes and a soothingly charming room with no bad tables. Each of the three amuse bouche boasted a fascinating and developing series of complex flavours. I don’t think we’ve ever enjoyed any tastes as much as these tiny parcels. Then two breads, both home made of course, and homemade cultured butter. The first starter was a distinctively different pair of earthy beetroot offerings which one of us loved while the other found the flavours a little muddy. The wonderful second starter was again a contrasting pair; one a full bodied umami taste and the other elegantly refreshing. So far, 7 different amazing taste “samples”. Next came the offal, a savoury smear of chicken heart and duck liver sitting on a root vegetable (forget which) and topped by an intricately rolled roast potato wheel and a bland potato sauce. The deer main course was tender and moist but chewy, the star was the jus, unctuously umami and temptingly lickable (oops). We finished with the two delectable desserts, a “pre-dessert” which was a mosaic of lemon, lime and lemongrass flavours and a “main dessert", a perfectly cooked mini toffee-ish apple with a sabayon sauce, again with layers of subtle flavours. Petit four was a tart with honey from the chef’s farm in East Sussex, where the deer and produce in many dishes also came from. Most dishes were delightfully elaborate to look at, with impressive attention to aroma and texture. The courses were well paced. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. The wine menu was impressive. The restaurant was not full, which saddened us: it deserves a long wait list for all sittings. We preferred this place to the Michelin 3-star restaurants in London we visited last year (treats in place of our usual trips abroad, which had been made so difficult by the plandemic insanity); while they were all solidly good, the exquisite tastes set this apart. This is now our first choice for anniversary celebrations.

This is not a cheap restaurant, but it is worth every penny. I took my wife here for our anniversary, and it was simply the best food either of us has ever had. It's a tasting menu, with wine pairings available. Every dish was exquisite, both in plating and palette, but the bird offal and potato reduction deserves a special mention. As does the lobster, and the canapes, and, well all of it! Wine pairings were perfect for every course, and the service was attentive without ever being intrusive. If you are looking for a place for a splurge or a celebratory dinner, look no further.

This is a lovely place to dine. The service is so precise, every detail is perfect. The decor is lovely. We enjoyed the wine pairings and had both the classic and the premium - actually we preferred the classic. As much as we enjoyed the experience, we were less enamored with the food. It was a bit odd and there were few courses that we actually enjoyed a lot. Its also really expensive.

Very sadly I was sick with a very bad stomach bug and could not make our reservation. But if you do not give 48 hours notice you still get charged the full amount of £140 per head!! Which is very disappointing- and no compromise and a very expensive at home throwing up.

This was our last stop of the week after Trinity, La chapelle, chez bruce. And this was the best in terms of professionalism, plating , palate. A tasting menu of 9 courses and every one very good to excellent. Standouts include the potato, lobster and lamb. The only area of advice is the staff can relax and smile more

The service was impeccable. The courses were all tasty with some standout ones with the canapés and the potato bird offal courses. Get the wine pairing to enjoy it even more. We knew London was expensive but this meal was the most expensive of our entire European trip. Take note that it’s a splurge for this Michelin stared restaurant.

The whole meal was superb, beautifully presented and imaginative dishes, providing a truly wonderful experience. Fresh and delicious. Delightful staff and a very cosy and beautifully decorated dining room. The private dining room upstairs is also beautiful.
