I took my girlfriend there as I'd promised to take her out for weeks and I couldn't have asked for a better restaurant.
From the minute that we walked in, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were helpful throughout with their recommendations for drinks and food. Every bite of every course was amazing with the rib-eye beef and the langoustines being two stand-outs in a meal that was of exceptional quality throughout.
The wait staff and sommelier were always on hand to ensure your glass was full or the table was clear for the next course without being intrusive in any way.
We will most definitely be returning and I'd recommend this place to any of my friends that were visiting London.
I've heard so much about Zuma so I booked for my wifes birthday.
Due to traffic we were running late so we called to inform the restaurant only to be told that if you are 30 minutes late they give your table away, even though we were told we would have the table for 2 hours??
We manage to miss the 30 minute "deadline" and started to order. Looking very forward to trying the food I was not impressed with the flavours and temperature of some dishes. I kept ordering to at least say I had something amazing to remember but sadly all was very average.
We came on a Thursday evening and the place was very busy. We enjoyed everything very much and the manager and staff made us feel very welcome . The only negative side for us was that everything came very fast and we were a little overwhelmed but when I told the manager it all slowed down which was better for us. We would like to thank the Manager and also his staff.
As we entered and were seated at the restaurant, it took us a while to realise that we had actually been here before...that's how unmemorable this place is!
There is a buzzing vibe with largely younger crowd, especially around the crowded bar area. We tried a number of their signature dishes, which were all fine but with absolutely no wow factor. Given the price of the dishes, we were left quite disappointed and underwhelmed.
The service was brilliant. Mimi helped us understand the menu and was very professional and attentive. The food was delicious, dishes come at different times. Would highly recommend anything from the grill and sashimi. We will return when we are next in London
I had lunch here and service was initially good. My order came quickly and the food items were cooked well and portion size were generous. However 3 different waiter tried to remove without asking a dish that contained salt for the wings that I still wanted, so it was quite irritating to explain that I still wanted it. Overall, service could have been more attentive and the crew better trained given how long they have been in business.
Coming back from a disappointing birthday that I just had at Zumaโs. Itโs one of my favorite restaurants in London. Or it was. The experience was from the beginning that we were treated like we didnโt matter there. food was rushed, everything was rushed, brought the wrong drink to my guest, ordered some shots that never arrived. The waiter looked like it was his first week there, so confused. I was charged an extra water bottle, they were adding bottles to the table without asking. Zuma, I wonโt come there any time soon!
I found the hostess very judgmental and rude, She simply ignored us. We had called earlier and were told that can be accommodated if we came earlier and waited, Which we did.The Restaurant was not busy but the hostess simply told us that they were completely booked, and we would not get a table that evening. she simply judged us based on our appearance, very impersonal and snobbish.
My wife and I are big fans of Zuma - when we lived in the Middle East we visited regularly and now we're in London the Zuma here has become one of our regular go to places. Food is consistently brilliant - prawn tempura is a favourite but there are many stand out dishes. There's generally a good vibe in and around the bar too if you are planning a pre, or post-dinner drink. It is on the slightly more expensive side but from experience you get what you pay for and the food has always been first class.
Well worth the visit - this place never disappoints. The food is outstanding and the service is also excellent. It is great for lunch and also dinner. The black cod is a must try if you have not experienced this dish before - it is particularly good here. A classy dining experience from start to finish. The best sushi in London.
Absolutely brilliant service, from being escorted out of the taxi, to perfect food, to brilliant waiter who suggested all the right wine as well as the correct amount of food to be well filled but not stuffed/bloated, it was a fantastic evening, 2 people for a little under ยฃ300..
