In order to get a reservation here, you must post up at 8:59AM for the reservations slots to open on Resy for an opening 21 days in advance!! Refresh quickly, be logged in with a credit card on file, and be versed with the positioning of what slot you want. I felt lucky getting a 10PM slot...Ambiance (3/5): I got a text saying that my table was ready a half hour early but when I arrived, they must have given it away and we had to wait until our scheduled time. I was greeted at the doorway to get checked in. The inside is very small, dark, and decently loud. The atmosphere feels intimate and old school vibes. Bathrooms are up a narrow set of stairs. Service (5/5): The service is attentive with the waiter taking his time to explain the menu in detail. Some of the dishes are served from a main dish right to your plate. I definitely felt welcomed and attended to. It took a while to get our orders in but it was fairly quick getting our first dish. The whole experience took about an hour. Food: They were out of the Charles Cut and chicken.French Dip (5/5): Everything about the French Dip was perfection. The meat portion was generous, meat seasoned well, horseradish sauce on the side was a great complement to the dish, and the dip itself was very savory. Chicago Cut Prime Rib (4/5): The meat was very tender and marbled which melts in your mouth. There's some seasoning that is meant for the rib on the side but I wish the rib itself was seasoned. Truffle Mac & Cheese (4/5): The truffle flavor is wonderfully forward. However, I didn't think there was anything about this dish that I couldn't have had elsewhere. Overall (4/5): I'm glad the food tasted so good for the effort needed to secure the reservation. I thought it was a great dining experience but the price point is steep for what you're getting. I would definitely want to come back to try the burger.

My favorite is the steak and the side dishes. The sauce that comes with the rib eyr is slightly sour, which I think is fine but some people don't like it.The 4 charles cut is very soft and tender. It xmes with horseradish sauce (which I'm not a fan) and the soup has a hint of soy sauce. The salad is really tasty as well. The chocolate cream pie is pretty good and the ice cream is normal, but their whipped cream is really good. Best customer service and has cozy vibe! The reservation for this place is quite hard to get.

For all the waiting it takes to get a table here, I expected everything to be perfect and it almost was. There's obviously a demand to get a table but charging $5 per person just to make a reservation seems extra to me. We also had one person of our four person party cancel due to sickness last minute and unfortunate there's a charge for that! (Despite ordering well over the amount for 4 people). So we weren't the happiest people to walk in to start but we wanted to enjoy the experience nonetheless. Our table was delayed by 5-10 minutes because the party in front of us was sitting waiting for an uber and because there's no waiting area, it left us waiting in the snow/rain at 10:30pm. We had prompt service once we sat down. Initially we were told they're signature 4 Charles cut was sold out which disappointed us further but then the server came back and said they had 1 piece left. We ordered the cheeseburger, the French dip, the 4 Charles signature cut, the chicago, cut, truffle Mac and cheese, cream spinach, elote, mashed potatoes. Burger was tender and juicy. It was good but not sure I would go through the hassle of making reservations for it again. I did absolutely love the French dip. It was my favorite of the night and I would come back for it. Perfectly toasted and not at all soggy even with the jus. Between the 4 Charles cut and the Chicago cut, I preferred the Chicago. It was more tender and less salty. It focused more on the meats flavor rather than the seasoning of the 4 Charles. Truffle Mac and cheese was super rich but delicious. The blue cheese in the cream spinach was an amazing touch but a preferred taste at Mt table. Elote didn't get much attention, it was a bit too sour. The mashed potatoes were smooth, it's hard to knock mashed potatoes. The restaurant is small and quaint which was nice. It did get cold intermittently as the servers were going in and out to tend to the outdoor seating. Otherwise it was comfortable.Overall I'm not sure I'd stalk getting a table here again unless taking someone else for their first time. I might opt for take out instead for convenience.

Service was impeccable. Daniel and Drew were awesome and very attentive. The cocktails were strong but good. We had to order the burger and it was just perfection. Add the egg and bacon to make it even more indulgent. Shrimp scampi was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The prime rib french dip was a little spicy but very good. Truffle Mac had good flavor and was creamy. We ordered the oysters which were refreshing. The salmon ceasar salad was crisp and delicious. The portions are generous and perfect for sharing. We were stuffed but we did order dessert. The lemon meringue pie is a show stopper with a mountain of meringue with a beautiful tart lemon filling. The chocolate cream pie, my favorite, was so rich and decadent. 10/10 for the food and service. A must try if you can get a reservation.

There was three of us in our party, and we went on a Tuesday night. Even for a Tuesday night it felt like a Friday night out in this swanky little restaurant. The service here was magnificent and I mean that about everyone even the attentive busboys who I didn't get their names. Brandon who was our waiter was great, he was very knowledgeable, attentive, and an all around entertainer. It was great watching him handle the floor and interacting with his tables. Angie who was the floor manager, was very welcoming. She had a great personality, she made us feel like we have been friends for years. Mario at the bar was another star. Welcoming from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Just the staff alone is why I'm sure this place is such a success. Now on to the food. The presentation was very on point with the atmosphere. We had several courses so I'll review them in order. We started with the Otoro tarter with caviar. The butter toast complimented the tartare well. It had a nice almost coconut aroma to it. Next we had the Wagyu cheeseburger which was salty. Which is why I didn't give this place a 5 star review. We didn't say anything because we split it 3 ways as an appetizer so it was tolerable in a small portion. That being said, it was cooked right. The flavors were there but it was overwhelmed by the salt. I'm not sure if our burger was over seasoned or the bacon? Anyhow I'm going to write it off as an off night for the chef. Reading other reviews this can't be what they serve to every table. I do want to go back and give it another try. On to the main course. We got the King cut prime rib which was big enough to share between 2-3 people. The was excellent. They cooked it just right. The meat was tender as it should be. This is a definite winner and a must try. We also got the shrimp scampi which was also a bit salty but the bread balanced it out. The bread that came with the shrimp was also tasty itself. The cream of spinach had a crunch to the top, which was nice. The truffle mac & cheese was OK. I think I hyped that up in my head before arriving. The Elote style corn was really flavorful. I'm not a corn person, but that I will eat. The chili lime balanced the whole meal well because of all the other fatty items we ordered. I loved the desserts. The portions are generous, so be willing to share. The chocolate cream pie was delicious and not too sweet.The sundae royal was just FUN. You can't go wrong with ice cream but the presentation of the royal sunday just set the bar higher for all ice cream desserts. Overall we had a great dining experience. I didn't say Dinner, I truly mean an experience. Definitely worth the effort to get a table and I will be going back.

Not sure how anyone gets a reservation. Thankfully, we dined with someone who regularly frequents.Decor and service are a balance of formal and colloquial, casual and sophisticated. And the food, is very good. Porterhouse steak had a small filet side, not enough for four ppl to each have a piece. Delicious, cooked perfectly. The prime rib isn't really cooked, it's warmed over a two day process of being rubbed, and 14 hours of sitting in a box of 150F then 100F. Then deckle browned, then sliced. Very tender. Of course we split a burger (doesn't need the bacon), and the French dip sandwich before eating. Everything is done well. Use discretion with the sauces and seasonings. Deserts were ok, coffee, not my cup of tea. 1-Mar-23

Given all the hype, I wanted this to be the best burger I've ever had in the city, and although it was good, I've had better at much easier to book places.I went in Resy and booked this one month out in advance and was hyping myself up by watching dozens of influencers posting their favorite meals from the place. As you can see in the below picture, I got the burger with golden fries and a cold brew since it was a brunch based menu. Here's my breakdown of the food:Burger: the burger itself was pretty good - they basically made smash burger patties and each were wagyu based. The patties were crispy and had nice lacing, and were well seasoned. Unfortunately the burger took an hour for them to serve and in my opinion was slightly overcooked when it came out. The aioli sauce they used on the burger honestly didn't have much flavor and the bacon was pretty chewy so it didn't add a lot to the bite. In my opinion, Au Cheval is a superior burger (sister restaurant that is much easier to get into). The burger was also ridiculously priced at $50 if you get the egg and bacon on top.Fries: the "golden fries" were $11 and came with a nice garlic aioli dip. They were basic crunchy French fries and were seasoned well, but nothing special. Again au cheval has truffle fries at the same price and with the same aioli and have better flavor.Monkey Bread: this was free because our food was taking so long and came out stale lol, not worth the ridiculous $17 for a small tray of this.Coffee: my cold brew was $7 (insane) and came with coffee rinds in it which was very unpleasant. Don't get the coffee here.Ambiance was very luxurious and posh which was cool, the servers were nice and prompt so I have no complaints there.Overall - this place is worth experiencing once and that's it. The food was good but nothing special and given how impossible a reservation is to get here, it was very disappointing. I'm going to au cheval before I try to book this again for the burger.

Had a remarkable and memorable dining experience today at this fine lower Manhattan restaurant We dined on Little Gem Salad, fresh, great taste looked great when served, Hash browns, absolutely excellent with the garlic aioli, Prime Rib French Dip absolutely incredible, the best I've ever had and 10oz Double Wagyu Cheeseburger, really excellent with the bacon, Truffle Omelette which was outstanding. Drinks were delicious and service was very attentive. While it was a bit expensive almost $100/ pp it's in line with NYC prices and not over the top for the dining experience. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a memorable NYC dining experience for friends and family.

I go to NY frequently and I am always trying to try something new every time I visit. As a chubby girl that "new" thing is usually food or a restaurant. I was researching "best" cheeseburgers in the city and this restaurant was the top of every list. So yep, I was sold. Here is the itty bitty tiny little problem- the restaurant is itty bitty tiny little so reservations are almost impossible to get. Trust me I emailed ahead and pulled out the desperation of being a middle school theater teacher who just needed a burger and a cocktail to survive the rest of the year. The manager promptly emailed me back with some tips to try and get a table. Here is what you need to know- they only offer reservations 21 days in advance at exactly 9:00am et. If you are from the west coast set your alarm for 5:45am. That will give you 1 minute to open your Resy app and 14 minutes to pray to a god of your choice. Now- if you get lucky and times pop up on the bottom of your screen- just hit any of them-literally any of them. If they are offering dinner at 3:00 pm you take it! I got a reservation on a Sunday at 11:15am. I felt like I won the lottery and without control I shrieked and woke up my husband who is indulgent to my excitement about food right up to the point where it disturbs his sleep. So we got to the restaurant and it has a tiny bar and like 10 tables. The service was impeccable and the drinks were divine. I had an espresso martini and my husband had a coffee. He didn't have alcohol but he is also not running around in heals and let's face it alcohol dulls the pain. Then we ordered the pastries and omg- melt in your mouth and sweet but not overly sweet- like Goldilocks- just perfect. We both ordered the cheeseburger. I added the egg and bacon to mine. The server brought our food and he puts on a glove and then slices the egg so it drips over the burger and then he proceeds to cut it in half for me. I was having too much fun at that point. Now for the burger/ hands down the best cheeseburger I have eaten in my whole life- and chubby so you know I have had my fair share of burgers. It was soooo good there are no other adjectives. At the end of the meal I had a chocolate martini for dessert and again swoon worthy. I cannot say enough amazing things about our meal. It was phenomenal. I am going to pray, sacrifice a 3 legged frog, and sell my soul to try and get another reservation for next month when we go back out.

2 days later and I can't stop thinking about this meal, absolute perfection. Before I jump into the meal itself I have to comment on the quality of service at 4 Charles. The staff was extremely attentive while never feeling intrusive, orchestrating a perfectly paced meal.Our party of 6 was lucky enough to snag the back booth setting the stage for a truly memorable meal.We started with a round of drinks and a few orders of the shrimp scampi, my cucumber martini was refreshing and the scampi was a perfect start to the meal. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the accompanying garlic bread helped mop up the delicious sauce.Next the burger course. Hands down the best burger I've ever had in my life, nothing else needs to be said.We shared the kings cut prime rib, 4 Charles cut and the off menu wagyu porterhouse. The kings cut was buttery soft and had an amazing mouth feel, the porterhouse is what every other steak wishes it could be and the gorgonzola dry aged 4 Charles cut was a flavor bomb that made me rethink everything I know about prime rib. This is as good as it gets.All of our sides were top notch, the mac n cheese and fries were my personal favorites and I really enjoyed the creamed spinach as well. I'm not a big dessert guy but the chocolate creme pie was a perfect end to an unbelievable meal.I don't know if it's recency bias but I can't remember having a better meal. 4 Charles is the ultimate steakhouse experience and I feel lucky to have dined there.

It is extremely hard to get a reservation here but it is worth trolling Resy's waitlist for one. We ended up sitting in their external sidewalk room and while I was disappointed at first, it actually has great ambiance. Very well decorated. The food is amazing here. There were four of us and we ordered the French Dip Au Jus, Little Gem Salad, three burgers, fries, button mushrooms and the charred broccoli. The drinks are also delicious and strong. Ended the night with a shared dessert. Totally worth it.

Ok so the place is relaxed, elegant if that makes sense? even the "outdoor" patio which is not outdoor. Really nice. We had the burger with bacon and egg and smoked salmon Cesar salad as apps. The burger is a must get. It is "the" item on the menu. So much flavor. The salad was good but passable - I would rather get lox on a bagel. Drinks...4 Charles punch was the cocktail to go for- not too sweet and def packed a punch. Mains were the prime rib sandwich and the Chicago cut.... delicious, tender, absolute flavor in both. Mashed potato's for a side excellent. We ordered the chocolate pie for dessert which was good but not missing out if you are too stuffed for that course. Overall top quality, great service , worth $$$+ ?... no but great experience.. get the burger or prime rib and call it a day.

I came here years ago and have been trying to come back ever sense. This place is like a forbidden city, you only hear whispers of it from finance bros usually coupled with a story about how they got in. It is nearly impossible to get reservations here, so when I got a notification from Resy that they had availability at 11pm on a Thursday, I jumped on the opportunity. Thankfully, they texted in the early evening to move the reservation to 10pm, this is still a ridiculously late time to eat but significantly better than 11.The first thing that strikes you when you enter this restaurant is how small it is. There are probably fewer than ten tables in the entire restaurant. This creates a very intimate, exclusive type atmosphere.The restaurant is known for their old fashioned, so I had two: their tequila / mezcal and the bourbon. The tequila / mezcal was amazing, noticeably smooth. The bourbon was not as good, tasted quite strong, but still high quality. To start we split 8 oysters between 4 of us. The oysters were good. For our entree we had the namesake, 4 Charles prime rib and then mashed potatoes, corn, and Mac and cheese for sides. Everything was incredible. We had a piece of chocolate cake at the end (also incredibly good).This might be my favorite restaurant in New York, an amazing spot.

I had been trying to get a reservation for a month and finally got it. The experience was amazing. The ambiance really made you feel like you were dining in old New York City. The servers were also very engaging and entertaining. The food was excellent and I cannot stop thinking about that burger. It is the best burger I have ever had. Dessert was also amazing. Finally was able to score a reservation here on sunday for the patio. We ordered the burger, truffle omelet, and hashbrowns. The place itself is really small on the patio and inside but thankfully the patio had a/c. For the food:Hashbrowns 2/5 : i didn't enjoy the hashbrowns as much since it was way too crispy and felt like a chip. There was apple sauce and the white sauce was kind of like yogurt but didn't feel like it paired well together.Burger: 4.5/5 the burger was definitely the highlight. It was so rich and the meat was super juicy. Combined with the egg yolk it was pretty heavy but amazing.Omelet: 3.5/5 you could taste a lot of truffle which was fresh- but it was extremely salty. I wasn't able to finish it since it was so heavy and rich + really salty.Lemon meringue: 4.5/5 it was delicious! There is a whole lot of meringue and the crust is amazing. Overall i don't think this is a place i would die to hunt for a reservation for the next time, but the service is amazing here.

I had a great experience at this restaurant! I sat "outside". Their outside seating was still so elegant. It felt like I was in a street car. Full doors and AC.Everyone at my table got the cheeseburger, the signature dish. It was incredible! The presentation, the taste, and the quality were all amazing. I was so full! I recommend getting it with the bacon AND the egg.My table also got the truffle Mac and cheese and the creamed spinach. Both were also delicious! The drinks were good too.Our service was also wonderful. We were celebrating a birthday and they had the candle in the burger and the dessert and gave us a free mocktail. I will caveat that a free dessert is not included for someone's birthday, which was a little misleading and a bit of a surprise once the bill came. They may just give one scoop of ice cream. We got the sundae for dessert and it came with three scoops of ice cream and whip cream. Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
