My wife and I celebrated our 20yr anniversary here while we were in Paris. It was so amazing! Our first 3 Michelin star experience, and they did not disappoint. The service was the excellent and the staff helped us understand the methods used to create the unique flavors/dishes. The wine pairing was wonderful and the food over the top. The Wagyu and portobello was one of the most unique and delicious dishes we’ve ever had. A wonderful experience from hello to goodbye.

This review is for the 3 Michelin star Alléno Paris restaurant. Took my wife to Paris for her 50th birthday. Treated her to a Michelin starred restaurant everyday for 5 days. Alléno was the final restaurant on our list. Dimitri from Alléno called before we left Los Angeles days prior to inquire about our reservations. He noted any allergies, and what my wife typically wanted. In addition, he requested a photo of my wife and to attach any message for her personalized menu. I humbly requested to have her menu also signed by Chef Yannick Alléno too. I was not disappointed! My wife was floored seeing her picture on her menu. Everyone who served us that night from the front door up to the dining area was exceptional. They were friendly, warm, & quite attentive. The ambience of the place was classic, charming, & warm fully inviting. The food served that night was nothing short of spectacular! The kitchen was firing on all cylinders. I was getting heart flutters every time a new set of utensils were being placed on our table in anticipation of the next dish! This placed capped off our Michelin restaurant tour with a loud bang! It was a delightful dining experience from the instant we walked through the door, & up to our departure. This place will clearly define what the difference is between a 1, 2, & 3 star rated Michelin restaurant. An experience never to be forgotten! Thank you everyone at Alléno Paris. Well done!!! Walked in this Michelin starred restaurant with no reservations. The best seats are on the counter watching the chefs prepare the curated meals. It was pricy and the experience in itself was one of a kind. It's like a tasting menu option. There is a wine-pairing option too. The highlights were the cheese souffle with foie gras, sea bream, cheese plate, and dessert. Armagnac to cap the evening was a nice touch. Service was top notch from the front of the house to the sommelier and down to a squad of chefs and line cooks.

We were really excited about dining here, being a 3 stat restaurant. We are food enthusiasts and always book a michelin star restaurant during our trips abroad. But this was by far the worst we tried. The service is great but the food is below average. 10/12 courses were tasteless, one simply unedible. The wine pairing could have saved the day but the food was just too bad.

We were a group of 4 friends, 2 couples. We had the whole experience, 12 courses with wine pairing. The wagyu was very good and the raviolo was good, all the others were sub par, below average. We payed 5000 euros for a below average meal, which is a total ripoff. I simply cannot explain why this awful restaurant even has michelin stars. I spoke with the chef and he said that he eas sorry, but he looked more like a young kebab cooker. Worst experience ever, avoid at all costs

Paris, France. Dinner with wife. My last visit was 20 years ago for a corporate event where we took over the entire restaurant for a paired wine tasting dinner. I thought it was terrific then and promised myself to return. It was just one restaurant then. It's now 3 and they're all Michelin Star-rated. You can sit at a table inside or outside, or a the counter which offers a great view of the chefs preparing meals. Our table was right across from them so we could see/here everything going on. The service was smart, efficient, helpful and friendly. All speak heavily accented English which takes a little effort to comprehend. There's a large wine list, with a significant selection of very expensive wine. We opted for a glass of rose champagne as a cocktail and then Pinot Noirs by the glass. Interesting that they kept topping off our glasses but charged us only for the one glass. We shared a cheese soufflé as a starter. Terrific. Our mains, beef in a peppercorn sauce and rack of lamb. Terrific both. We ended with cheese plate and salad and the chef sent lemon sorbets as a complement. This is one of the best restaurants we've eaten at. Highly recommended.

We scored a good seat at the observation bar so we had a first class show of the chefs hard at work. Everyone should splurge on a "show" like this if you can afford it. If you watched Bear on Netflix you will be used to the chef barking an order and the response being a resounding "chef" or "yes chef" by the kitchen. The wine list was pretty insane from a price perspective but we found/ got directed to a great French red. The pictures of the food say it all. There were a couple of "Meh's" in the lineup. The ravioli soup didn't work at all from a taste and texture perspective and the vanilla foam dessert was more of a pallet cleanser than another course. We were rushed through the first few courses which were off putting and there was no real engagement with the servers about the food which is normal course for this setting.

I wrote a scathing review a few years back, but my opinion was completely reversed by the incredibly professional, conscientious and admirable response from the restaurant and even chef, himself. Restored my faith in the integrity of great institutions like this. They actually do care. It really is their mission and purpose to be the best they can be. They listened. Enjoy!

Worst Michelin Experience

First of all, the food was just average. A couple dishes were very salty, borderline inedible.

The service was ok. A lot of the waiters were extremely young (I am 34), I felt like I was being served by college students. They were also joking around with each other in the dining room. I own several restaurants, I'm all for having fun at work. But this was a 3 Michelin restaurant, I felt like they could have been more professional.

The worst part of the evening was our server. He may have been the sommelier, I'm not sure, but he was extremely snobby and pretentious. I dined there with my father and his business partners (all in the wine industry). Our server came to the table to answer some questions they had. However while he was answering, they interrupted him and asked another question. He was visibly annoyed by this, stopped talking for an awkward 2 seconds too long, rolled his eyes, ignored the question and continued talking like he didn't even hear anything. I thought that this was incredibly rude. While it may be rude to interrupt, we are the customers of a 3 Michelin restaurant, he should never have treated us like that.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
