Rouge Philadelphia Reviews from The Last Year
UUMMMM do i even need to say anything else? the picture
UUMMMM do i even need to say anything else? the picture speaks for itself. come on a nice day, sit outside, and enjoy the best fries in philly while people watching and sipping a spritz. if i could do this every day i would
Service was great.
Oysters were great. Rouge Burger which they are known for was on par with a MacDonalds quarter pounder but 3 times the price. The bar atmosphere was ruined when the renovation took place. When you sit at the bar, your back is to the square.

What happened here? The best burger in the city is a 33% smaller, at least. The bread prior to the meal was once a part of the experience. It used to be a hand made baked roll with sea salt butter, and now you pay $3.00 for an Amoroso roll sliced four times. What's with the music? Pumped so loud you can barely hold a conversation, and we were sitting outside??!! What happened here? I didn't mind paying the higher prices when the quality and experience was worth it. Now they are ripping their faithful customers off as bad as a chain restaurant counting french fries. This has all happened Int he last year. Extremely disappointing evening at what was one of our regular favorites. Hate being ripped off. What happened here?
Solid four stars for lunch
We had a very nice lunch here. Each of our three dishes was well made and a pleasure to eat. Standouts included a biscuet sandwich, fried potatoes, and a salad. A very solid four stars. Service was good, and the prices were a bit high but reasonable for the location. The only discordant feature was the menu, which offered small plates along with salads and sandwiches. The small plates were priced higher than the other items. Odd, but easily avoided.

Love coming here for drinks, it's a vibe during the warmer months. It can get crowded but their DJ is always good.
A very cute restaurant in Rittenhouse Square.
The ambience is sophisticated and very cute and feels like the perfect place for a date. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The price seemed reasonable given the location and ambience ($18 approx for a burger). The food was good and I'd definitely come here again

Cute little place on Rittenhouse Square overlooking the park. Just wanted a quick snack, so I tried the cheese plate. Yum. I really enjoyed this light snack: three cheeses, jams, fruit, and a toasted baguette. The smoked almonds and dates were a nice touch. Of course, city prices at $24. If you want a nice relaxing sit, give them a try.
Cool spot to stop by in the city! Calamari and Brussel
Cool spot to stop by in the city! Calamari and Brussel sprouts were amazing and by far a favorite from other local eats I tried. Unfortunately the filet mignon was hard, dry and , barely looked like 4oz. Ridiculously overpriced at $42. Avoid at all costs. Being the main dish this far outweighs the rest of the experience. Highly recommended everything else otherwise, service is quick and attentive and drinks are top notch. Sitting outside is a must with beautiful park views.
I got the chicken sandwich.
Buns were too wet and greasy, and couldn't finish. Saw that they overcharged my credit card for the bill. Not enough to go through the process to fight it, but annoyed enough to not return with staff with slimy business practice.

The service was not bad, but the food was not the most impressive. Although it was nice that there didn't seem to be a wait when we arrived and the ambiance was quiet and relaxed, the service was still somewhat slow. We ordered the french toast and a ham and brie sandwich; both dishes were good, but neither were spectacular of any sort. There weren't any issues with the food and the taste was fine, but the brunch experience offered with these dishes was not memorable enough to want to return. I did see images of the pretty flowers for outdoor seating so I think that may definitely be a compelling point for some! Overall, this wasn't a bad spot, but it just didn't stand out in comparison to the other brunch places I have enjoyed in Philly.

I like Rouge because it's a nice spot for a fancy lunch or dinner. The food is plated nicely and tastes good too.
