Aren't DMV Appointments non-transferrable?

While it's true that appointments are technically not transferable, for DMV Appointments the transfer service is included for buyers at no cost. The transfer team has both - the sellers and the buyers dmv information, so it can cancel the sellers appointment and then rebook under the buyers name. From the get go Larry's service was outstanding, felt cozy special served. My server Toupo was amazing, warm genuine did everything before I ever asked. Best Crab cake, prime rib, horseradish sauce I ever had. The pianist was such gentleman, came and told me "it was an old Steinway, some of the keys don't work, it's like dancing with an old lady!"Overall just how the people made you feel and environment was classic! Will come back with my wife just to see these people!

Came here for dinner whilst working in DC ! The place is elegant but it’s not the hype !! Service was average at its best ! My main problem was the table they gave us !! A half moon table adjoining the piano where a pianist was playing badly !! There was no space on or at the table !!!!! The food was good but not worth what they charge $48 for a pork chop ! $15 dollar for a baked potato and $ 18 dollar for asparagus!!! $150 for a lobster !!! But the absolute shocker was $20 dollar for a small bowl of ice cream !!! The experience was not enjoyable and would not return and I definitely would not recommend!!! There is far better !! This place is living off their reputation! Unfortunately the reputation is as dated as the pianists suit !! Sorry but I speak the truth ! Maybe try giving value for money ??

The food, the ambiance, the elegance. The Prime Rib harkens to a vanishing error of elegant dining. Black walks and gold trim, a jazz pianist and standup bass. Fine food. Worth getting dressed for.

This restaurant is elegant beautifully decorated and romantic. Live piano music, excellent service and very good food make this restaurant a good choice for a special night out. Valets parking, coat service, attention to detail. Very close to Kennedy Center make it a great choice for dinner before show. The prices are high. You get a lot of food, so much so you may need to share. Drinks are very good too.

This was my 2nd dining experience at The Prime Rib in 4 years. I'll start with the positives: excellent food, service and ambiance. Delicious prime rib and also especially love the potato skins appetizer! The bread is also quite good and served warm. The negatives: overpriced! Beyond inflation overpriced! And the prices on the website menu were lower than the menu we got at the restaurant! $80 for a piece of prime rib with no sides is just too much! Also ordered a side of fries and for $12 got a very small amount--I would've expected a huge basket for that price! And my friend got a coke which was $6! The place was very busy so clearly many well off DC area residents don't mind paying beyond top $ for food! Not sure if I will return unless someone else is paying the bill! :)

I was greeted upon arrival by Larry, the Maitre di. The atmosphere was old world elegance. We were not the only diners dressed in black tie. There was live piano and string music. We started at the bar and I got the pineapple martini. Delicious although I missed my usual dirty one I have in a steakhouse. My only complaint was none of our photos at the bar had flattering lighting. We split so many appetizers. The potatoes skins were killer!!! Omg! We got a caviar, clams casino, oysters Rockefeller, and raw oysters. I would get the skins again- that is what they are known for and no mystery why! So much flavor! I'd do the caviar again too. And although I rarely like different preparations, the salty tomato bacon clams casino would be a repeat order. The bread was warm with a crusty outside. The butter was whipped. I tried hard not to eat a second slice knowing how good everything would be. My bone in rib-eye with crumbled blue cheese was perfect. Even the leftovers the next day were tasty. I forgot to get a photo- I couldn't wait to dive in! Sides of broccolini, scalloped potatoes, and asparagus did not disappoint. Especially the potatoes! I'd skip the Mac and cheese next time. The guy who ordered vegetarian lived his dish. The crab cakes were great. The prime rib could feed a small country! Service was perfect.

The ambiance was plain and the front of the restaurant didn't smell very welcoming. (Smelled of burned cigars). However, the food was fresh. We got clams casino, oysters, prime rib, and lamb. The food was okay but not enough for me to return. The appetizers were by far the star of the day. The waiters and staff were extremely friendly.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
