Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Aren't DMV Appointments non-transferrable?

While it's true that appointments are technically not transferable, for DMV Appointments the transfer service is included for buyers at no cost. The transfer team has both - the sellers and the buyers dmv information, so it can cancel the sellers appointment and then rebook under the buyers name. Interesting to try a new culture's cuisine.Some aspects are similar to thai and the heavy use of fish sauce is reminiscent of Vietnamese cuisines.I do not like that the check tries to trick you to tip after tax and with the service charge built in.

You can smell the aroma of meats outside the restaurant and when you walk in you smell fish sauce galore. The Tam muk houng has plenty of fish sauce, shrimp paste and a helluva spicyness to it . So you've been forewarned; it is spicy. I enjoyed the laab and usually it's hit or miss. The naem khao hu muu was pretty good and I don't fancy pig ear but I liked it in this dish. Plus the sour pork was amazing! The khao siin haeng was yummy too and it was nice that it came with coconut sticky rice I would totally eat that as a snack. I'm glad each dish comes with lettuce or sticky rice. Tip: you will be charged $2 if you order more lettuce. Hospitality was great here. Water was always poured and our waiter explained the dishes to us. Also, good luck on parking.

All I can say is WOW!!!! This was me and my partner's first time eating Laotian eats and WHERE HAVE I BEEN?! My goodness every single dish, from start to finish, was a complete experience. This food told a story. We ordered Tam Som, Kua Khao Jaew Bong & Kapao Kob for takeaway. I'm sure I will dream of this meal for weeks to come. We started with the Tam Som (papaya salad) which we ordered in (XXX=spicy) and as someone who lovessss spicy food, this one kicked my ass lol. The flavors were so incredibly vibrant that once you start, you finish! I was completely blown away with the Kapao Kob; the crispy fried shrimp and the flavors of the gravy with the vegetables, words do no justice. Thip Khao was number one on my list...I would not be able to forgive myself if I didn't get around to this gem of a restaurant. What a euphoric way to be introduced to Laos dining, 10/10.A few things to note! You must be vaccinated to dine inside. We ordered takeaway, but it took us a day to figure out their system. It's best to order in advance as the restaurant closes at 10, but stop taking phone/online orders at 9pm. They use a platform called "Tock," linked on their main site, where you can order and pre-pay beforehand & choose your pickup time. 20% gratuity is included on all to-go orders. Upon tasting the food, we understood why they require orders far beforehand...the food is exquisite. Please do not hesitate! Wish I could package the food up and ship it back to ATL!!

Any of the fried tofu items are succulent, perfectly crisp and toothsome. The sausages are savory but not hot, and the hot sauces are really not that hot (spicy) either. The pork is always perfectly delectable.We need to learn a little more about how the Laotians use the wraps; it's a bit different from the Vietnamese we're used to.Getting there is a snap. Three block walk from the Green/Yellow line stop at Columbia Heights. You can also take the 52 bus directly in front from and to McPherson Square or L'Enfant plaza. Great experience!

I recently went here for dinner and really enjoyed it! I've never had Laotian food before, but I'm definitely looking forward to trying more dishes in the future. My friends and I ordered the Laab with fried tofu, the Mee Kathi with fried tofu, the Kapao Kob with fried tofu, and the Kee Mao with fried tofu. We ordered everything medium spicy, but none of us thought it was very spicy so I'll definitely be ordering a higher spice level in the future. My favorite dishes were definitely the Mee Kathi and the Kapao Kob. The curry was delicious and the noodles and tofu complemented the dish extremely well. The tofu in the Kapao Kob was perfectly fried and crispy, and I enjoyed the flavor from the basil. The Laab was also delicious, it was extremely balanced and light. The Kee Mao was good, but definitely not as memorable as the other dishes. Overall, these four dishes were a perfect amount of food for 3 people and were pretty affordable! Since it was my birthday, we also got a free Khao Long with a candle! I really enjoyed the Khao Long, it wasn't too sweet and I liked the combination of pumpkin and coconut. I was really happy with what I ordered and would come back again!

YES. I'm a big thai food fan but this was my first time having Laotian food. I ordered the wide rice noodles (kee Mao) and although similar to the Thai dish for sure, the flavor was a lil different. The noodles were so fresh and chewy, the sauce was so flavorful (could've been spicier but I just added chili flakes) and the tofu was amazing! It was friend and breaded and delicious. Such a satisfying meal. The portions were HUGE and was prepared super fast. Great restaurant vibes, DELICIOUS food!

The service here was welcoming and followed all COVID-19 protocols. I really enjoyed my food. I feel like what I paid was worth the food that I got. Thankfully, when I went, they were able to seat me immediately. I ordered Mee Kathi. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the D.C. area - specifically Columbia Heights neighborhood. To note, this is my first time eating Laotian food, so take my review with a grain of salt.My friends and I came on a Saturday night, but fortunately, we were seated pretty quickly. The server was quick to get our orders in and the food came out separately but relatively quickly. Here were our thoughts:* Muu Som - This is one of the most popular dishes here, so we knew we had to give it a try. The pork belly was very tender and really flavorful (lots of spices and seasonings that blended well together), but it was much too salty. I love the rice it came with, but I definitely needed more rice to balance out how salty the pork belly was.* Chuenh Paa Sa Moun Pai - There were two pieces of catfish in here that were extremely crispy. There was a mix of sweet, savory, and a hint of sour that elevated the taste of the catfish. Good amount of garnish, too. The first piece of catfish that sat on top of the second was extremely crispy and tasty. The second piece was swimming on top of a pool of fish sauce, which made the breading soggy pretty quickly and it was just way too salty. The jasmine coconut rice was good, but couldn't really taste the coconut. Would prefer more rice to balance out the amount of salt. Again, loved the flavors, but it was very salty. Overall, not sure if it was worth $25 for just two pieces of catfish.* Laab: My friends got this with chicken! According to them, the flavors were unique and impressive, but again, too salty. We were very excited to go, and made reservations in advance. They charge for reservations, putting an obscene $20 hold. Not even le diplomat does this. Whatever. We were going to make it there. It allowed us to cancel before 5 pm. Surely We live outside the city, so had to make a long trek in. When we arrived, there was absolutely no parking anywhere. We drove around, but almost all was residential parking. Here's the thing. We tried to call and say we would be late, but no one picked up the phone multiple times. We found spots, but it would be a lengthy (15 to 20 minute) walk in below freezing weather and we were already 20 minutes late from driving around looking for spaces, and had no guarantee they'd hold our reservation. I emailed the restaurant, asking for some form of forgiveness, even to reschedule, and got no reply. We were very disappointed not to go, but what a rip off!!! I'm out $20 bucks and three hours of my life. I waited a week before reviewing, in hopes to hear something from them. Still, no reply. Ignored my email just like my phone calls, but happily took my money.

Amazing Laotian food! My husband and I live in NoVA so we frequent Padaek more but Thip Khao never disappoint either. Their crispy rice salad with sour pork is one of our favorites and we get that almost every single time but Laab is also really great and so are their soups and noodles. Warning though: my husband and I really love spicy food and eat spicy food often but the spicy dishes here definitely take you by surprise! Still manageable and definitely enjoyable but for those with lower spice tolerance, I'd suggest asking if they can do the dishes milder. Always look forward to trying out more dishes at Thip Khao!

Wow! First time using this website/app. It was almost hard to believe the quality of customer service I received as soon as I posted my offer. Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
