We wanted some authentic Italian food while on a visit to Boston and a friend recommended this place. My favorite part of this spot is the outside patio with the twinkling lights. We we put in a reservation ahead of time and were seated immediately.
Sweet small Mom and Pop.
Great meat balls. Good service. Red and White table cloths. Huge portions. Bread was delicious.

If you are in Boston even for one day, this is the place to eat! We got a tip to eat here from a local Bostonian. Thank you! We enjoyed the bread and olive oil. Not sure what brand they use, but it's delicious alone! The outdoor eating area is s
I don't think I can praise this establishment enough.
My wife ordered the gnocchi and meatballs and they were outstanding. They were outshined by the cacio e pepe, and chicken cutlet. The staff was excellent and service was quick. Will be coming back for the dishes. 10/10
We had a table for 7 for dinner at the end of October.
We knew we were booked for an outdoor table so we figured there would be heat lamps. Chilly night (cold and a little windy) but no luck on the lamps - boo. Food was okay. Smallish portions - especially for the pasta dishes which were all $25-$30
Eating with a family of rats
Do not book unless you want to eat outside with rats. We saw this restaurant came well recommended and decided to book expecting a nice Italian dinner with a good atmosphere. Unfortunately we were shocked when we arrived. The interior of the rest

Decent baked gnocchi but nothing to write home about.
Upgraded to vodka sauce, but it wasn't particularly memorable. Portion was a bit small. The patio was very nice, but the inside looked a bit dingy.
Brilliant

We were visiting from Florida.
Food and service were excellent! It's a small place inside but super cute!
Great service, food.
Prices are reasonable (for Boston). The Italian sauce is very tasty
The atmosphere was lovely.
The service wasn't horrible, just rushed. They forgot my order and had to put it in again. I would not recommend the cacio e Pepe. It was underwhelming and they also over did it with the pepe. Try something else if you go.
Highly disappointed
This place was highly recommended online and by a few people in town we got the meatballs and the lasagna and both were NOT good, the sauce does not have any flavor and the lasagna says it has 3 different kinds of meat and all you taste is pasta and
If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would.
We sat outside and atmosphere was perfect. Service was phenomenal. The food was to die for. We shared the mozzarella sticks, meatballs and the Chicken Marsala. The Marsala was out of this world! Highly recommend!

The chicken parmesan was okay.
The chicken felt a little burned or re cooked. Also, there was two chicken breast. Definitely for two people.

Eggplant parmigiana- tasty, served warm not hot, the presentation is bad with that pasta side thrown in there. Cannoli were good, shell was kind of hard.
Such a cute outdoor area! Very friendly and attentive staff.
The bread, lasagna, baked gnocchi, and chicken broccoli ziti were all so good! I found a piece of metal in my pasta, and they took care of it very willingly and were so apologetic. The limoncello was super yummy and strong.

The take-out provided by this restaurant is so awful, I wish I had checked as I usually do though I trusted as I had previous positive experiences and endorse on social media. Never again.
Oh my god.
Can we give 6 stars? We walked past this restaurant (it's very tucked away from the main north end streets) and knew we had to try it. We made a reservation for outside and went a few days later. The service was great- we got seated pretty quick

Ok but nothing special
The food was average, portions small, the mains arrived and the staff hasn’t cleared the first course. Wasn’t good value and ambience was not really friendly.

Make sure you have a reservation especially on the weekends otherwise you’ll be waiting for awhile. Had dinner on a Monday after trying to get a table on Sunday evening. Sat on the basement level in the corner booth. We ordered the house salad, c
Authentic Italian in every way!
We had a lovely evening at this charming restaurant. The staff are very warm and friendly. We enjoyed the authentic Italian cuisine from Caesar salad, garlic bread, lasagna and cannolis. It was all so good. The lasagna portions were very generous and
Don’t go
It was by far the, the worst Italian food I’ve ever had . The chicken parm (their specialty) was chewy tough over cooked . The eggplant was nothing like expected. Sauce was thick and terrible . Even bread was not good.
Hits the mark!
Everything was killer. First off, this small, kitschy place just feels right. The vinyl booths, the photos on the wall it just felt right. The food was one triumph after another. My wife & I split the house salad which was plenty. Perfectly
Lunch in there north end
We had lunch here during our recent visit to Boston. I chose this restaurant for their Cacio e Pepe and they did not disappoint. My husband enjoyed the coffee very much, unfortunately the coffee for the rest of the trip did not measure up. Service
Run of the mill Italian
My friends and I went here before a concert at TD Gardens. The restaurant was recommended to us by a local so we gave it a shot. The interior is very cute, think your friends Italian Gramma's house. But, the stairs down to the basement were slip
Little Italy in Boston
We had a not so friendly experience. The door was open to the restaurant, however it wasn’t the door to go in. We were shooed out rudely. We had to walk to another door, climb steps and waited. The place upstairs was empty. I finally walked to the

Outstanding! Wonderful service, incredible food and very reasonably priced bottles of wine. We had a great evening here and are still talking days later about the chicken cutlets that we will forever dream about. Going back to Boston in a few months
Wonderful Gem in Boston's North End!
This is really "old school" Italian, tried and true recipes that have stood the test of time. My husband had lasagna and I had chicken marsala- we both said the "best we've ever had!" Even the simple/classic caprese salad was a
Such a cute little spot.
Entrées and appetizers were classic Italian and perfectly presented. That's about it for the positive on the food. Not what I was expecting as far as flavor. Very bland spaghetti and meatballs. I mean it was just OK but wasn't blown away by flavor.

I was very excited to try Tony & Elaine's but, unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. We tried to go once before but, without a reservation, were unable to be seated, so we made one and came back the following week. The service was okay. I
Great Italian with friendly service.
Delicious food and friendly service. The house salads were huge with homemade croutons. The meatball appetizer was absolutely delicious! We asked to share the chicken parm and it was served proportioned on two plates for us which was a wonderful touc
We were excited to try Tony & Elaine's for the first time.
We were looking for a great Italian restaurant that was kid friendly and close to TD Bank. The previous reviews made us a little apprehensive but we still wanted to give it a try. Here are the pros- The restaurant is in walking distance to many hot
Awesome.
Small and not fancy but the food was awesome. I would recommend that if you're in the area check it out.
Food was delicious!! The service was absolutely great but.
.. it was incredibly hot in the restaurant. Me and my family were sweating while we're eating it was so hot. Not sure if there was a one time issue. Either way - we still enjoyed it :)
Such a wonderful quaint restaurant.
Chicken Marsala was probably the best I've had in the north end. Meatballs and pasta excellent. Bolognese with tagliatelle was spot on and the Caesar salad was delicious. Service was excellent. We will be back.
I was a solo diner visiting from California.
I loved the ambiance. Red and white checkered tables topped with a red candle holder in a cozy room. I ordered the arancinis and they were perfect. The Cesar salad was delicious with homemade croutons. I loved the Chicken Marsala. I make my own so I

Meh. Food is good enough. But the service needs work - they brought our meal at the same time as the appetizer. When we asked for them to wait on the meals, they brought them back five minutes later. With empty tables, what was the rush? As for
Always a great meal.
One of the best you will get in the North End. Gnocchi is like fluffy pillows of deliciousness. Looking forward to our next visit!
