It gets packed in here especially weekends. Our pastas were delicious and creamy. The bread was also very soft and yummy. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

The pappardelle was underwhelming and overly creamy in my opinion. Didn't do it for me. But the truffle pasta was amazing. Went on a Friday night and to my surprise, several tables were wide open outside, and the inside was pretty empty. Yet still service was a bit slow. Had to flag servers down for water refills and some of them just hover around the dining area, looking more like security than anything. The vibe just felt off inside and the pay by cash thing is annoying. But, it's worth a try.
Honestly think this place is a little overrated.
Food is overpriced in my opinion and the food isn't that amazing.
Bar Pitti has its place.
If you know what you're in for, there's definitely a good time to be had and the fact that it's constantly packed is plenty evidence in its favor. Expect to be briskly shown to a table if one is available and a relatively brief wait on the sidewalk if one isn't. The wait is brief because food flies out at this place faster than a pigeon to a dropped dirty water dog - don't expect a leisurely dining experience. But the vibes are still good. The food menu on the table is mostly for show. The "specials" are famously written on chalk boards exclusively in Italian and are the way to go. I say "specials" because I don't think they've changed in...years? It's fun and needlessly inconvenient. Don't miss the "special" fried mushrooms and rabbit papperdelle. The veal cutlet is thin, crispy and also spot on. Do skip the bean and tuna salad. The wine offerings are serviceable: expect reasonably good examples of classic Italian styles at sensible price points, probably little to knock your socks off, but nothing to grimace about either. All in all, if you're keen for a quick, good plate of pasta, it's on the Bar Pitti "specials" boards.

I am a lifelong customer.
I have been coming here since I was 5 years old. The food is always excellent, my favorite entree is the pappardelle. I love to come in the summer and sit outside, as the indoor space is too brightly lit. But the service has become a different story. This place has had its soul sucked out of it. The servers are so jaded and rude, they force you to give them your full order the moment you are seated. The food comes out so quickly, you would think you're in a fast food chain, which honestly goes against the norms of Italian dining. You're supposed to sit for a while and enjoy your meal. But not here. They don't care about you or your experience. They are on a mission to turn over the table as quickly as possible. The other night, we were there on the later side, we came in at about an hour before closing. But right when 11:00 hit, they KICKED US OUT. Me, a veteran customer, was not allowed to finish my meal. It was 10:57, three minutes before closing time and they started stacking tables and chairs. We went to the restroom and came back to find our outdoor table was gone. They forced us to pay on the spot and get out. When we complained about how poorly we were treated, the head waiter gave one of us a kiss on the head. Wow. Things have gotten so weird here that I will never be returning.
This place was great.
The pasta was so fresh. The only thing is the portions are smaller than what I am used to. Other than that I have nothing but good things to say. Bring cash :D
Overpriced for quality
The restaurant serves average real Italian food for non average prices even for NYC, Average ambiance Italian owned and operated.
Food was good but egregiously overpriced.
A plate with one piece of bread and a couple slices of cheese and meat was $20 There was a line outside so we were rushed by our server to order and eat. When we got our check, gratuity of 20% was already included despite the menu saying it was only mandatory for parties of 5 or more. I didn't want to argue with the server so I paid, but I'm never going back. Please do not support this business!

Rating was a B!!!! That threw me off and the pasta was okay soup was good.
Dinner for two.
Easily up charged me. Total would have been $104. Charged me $144 with tax. Paid $173 total. Ain't no way. Got two glasses of Lambrusco, Artichoke salad, Rigatoni, Cappucinno, Tiramisu, and the Prosciutto Fettun. I liked this place before it become apparently a "hot spot" since when. I feel like I got robbed right in front of me but it happened so fast. Go to Little Italy for less. At least I would be drunk and full.

There was a line when I got to the place but we were seated fairly quickly. We choose three plates to try out: 1) Pappardelle Alla Fiesolana 2) Penne Stracicate and 3) Penne All Arrabbiata. Hands down the favorite dish of the table was the Pappardelle Alla Fiesolana. Unfortunately, we found a hair in our meal and all we got was an apology and a longer wait for our food. We then had dessert and we choose 1) Torta Della Nonna 2) Chocolate Mousse and 3)Panna Cotta. Chocolate Mousse was the favorite one. The place feels very homie but quite a tight squeeze. Make a note that this place is a CASH ONLY restaurant.

They are scenic but Not for mature audiences. Flavors don’t linger, and a party more than 2 may not desire to if seated indoors
The most uncomfortable meal I've had in NYC.
The waiter repeatedly tried to get the gentleman sitting next to me to pledge his allegiance to Trump. The patron tried to stay neutral but the server wouldn't let it go. Finally he said he thought Trump was going to jail and the server gave some weird excuse about not knowing because he's only been in the US for 6 years. It was bizarre and ruined my lunch.

We've been going to Bar Pitti for well over 8 years and the past 2 years the service has been consistenly going from bad to worse. Today I went for lunch and I think this is the last time I will be be a patron. Service starts with a waiter who literally seems completely uninterested in even a modicum of civility and it is obvious that they want to turn the tables over as soon as possible. Within a minute one is expected to order and within 4 minutes the food arrives and the plate is literally thrown on the table. Quality of the pasta is still quite good but not commesurate with the prices. Today I had a Spaghetti Vongole, a Beef Carpaccio, Tiramisu for dessert and a cup of their least expensive wine and an espresso..... all for $ 92 without tip and $ 110 with! This has been my experience now for the past 3 visits which is why I will not be going back. It is sad to see that the owners are just trying to maximize profit, churning the patrons in and out asap and hiring surly waiters, something that they will soon realize will turn off future visits and eventually doom the establishment. I've seen this happen before.

Prices were consistent and expected with the neighborhood. I'm not necessarily running back to have food here due to the service. It was little things that cumulative made me feel like I wasn't particularly welcome or their preferred guest. One of the servers showed us their specials which were Italian dishes & words written on a chalkboard, but didn't exactly explain what anything was so we found ourselves googling stuff. He eventually came back to ask us if we had questions, but you could tell our questions were bothering him a little. Small things like that. Not a huge deal to many people but definitely a reason for me personally to go elsewhere. Hopefully he was just having an off day!

What happened to this restaurant? I used to go there all the time, the food was good and the place was clean. I went back there this weekend after almost 2 years. They received grade B now. In NYC, the Health Department conducts inspections of restaurants to check that restaurants comply with food safety rules. And to have a grade B is not a good sign and we could totally see it when we ordered our appetizer and the plates came dirty. The food was so mediocre and tasteless. I'm super disappointed and I'm never coming back. Sad. Did they change management or something?

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
