Historic ! Meat feast to be savoured

I had the pleasure of a return visit to Blacklocks and boy did it deliver! We went “All In” and the heady mix of great meat, gravy and superb sides, made it a HISTORIC dining experience! The cheese board was also superb and made even better with the Stilton being from my favourite local creamery at Colston Basset. Talking of Stilton, really enjoyed the cheeky sample of a blue cheese sauce we were treated too and will be starting a campaign to see it made a permanent addition to the menu, though think it would benefit from being a little thicker 😉 The staff were super attentive and whilst not imposing, ensured the meal ran just how we wanted and food was delivered in a timely manner. I cannot praise the experience enough and already looking to returning next month for a repeat performance. In honour of this experience being classed as a Historic meal, the menu makes the “Wall of Menu Fame” in our Throne Room!

I had the best dinner for sure in 4 days that i spent in London. Really nice pub restaurant with 80’s vibes. Food was amazing, the pork belly was crispy outside and so juicy in the middle. Rump cap was nicely marinated and perfectly cooked as i asked, juicy and tender meat. Burger was very good as well. The owners are just amazing for their kindness and politeness. We really recommend this place because the prices as well compared to quality are really good!

Fab meal and service

We booked here for a Friday evening at 7.30pm. The restaurant was busy but we were seated and served quickly (though we didn't feel rushed at all). The waiter was lovely, very friendly and helpful, explaining menu items for us. We both had three courses, all of which were so tasty. It wasn't ridiculously expensive either so we will definitely return when we are in London again.

Sharing roast

Waited a while to try the roast option. Restaurant was busy so a small wait for the table. Friendly staff who took our order quickly. The sharing roast option came within 5mins of ordering. Mountain of food including pork, lamb and beef. The pork was quite fatty but the rest tasted great. Not sure its better than The Hawksmoor but its a good choice for a sharing option to try a bit of everything

30th birthday - made us feel special

Visited yesterday - 9th August - for my partner’s 30th birthday. 100% recommend going here for a special occasion. Erold and Andreea were brilliant, they were both very aware we were celebrating, being so very attentive and going above and beyond with gestures that made us feel special. The guy who brings over your food whose name I didn’t catch, was also great. Not only were the staff fantastic, the food and drink are divine. They offer some wines by the litre which suited us perfectly. The food was delicious, we had the sharing platter which was perfect. They give you one of each of the pre dinner bites meat, then the platter comes with two sides. We ordered an extra side, so had the chips, sweet potato and kale with parmesan - all three were lovely. We got the gravy sauce which enhanced the flavour of everything beautifully. Really believe it was great value for money, given how much food and alcohol we had. The place is underground, which I thought may be an issue given we went on a hot summer day and were seated near the kitchen, but the place is kept so comfortably cool so is absolutely still somewhere that can be visited in summer. Very impressive given how hot outside and busy inside it was. We came away feeling special, very full and immediately discussing when we thought we would go again.

Came here for my five year anniversary celebration and 100% made the right choice. The team were so lovely and helpful from the moment we walked in. Ana, our main attendant, was a diamond helping us try new things! I'd been to the soho branch before but this was miles ahead. Thanks to all the team for such a special evening. Pro tip, order a bone marrow per person and definitely get pigs head on toast

The BEST meal we have ever had. The food itself was incredible but what made the night was the staff. They went above and beyond, made us feel extremely welcome, nothing was an issue or a task to them. Great price and all round MUST Go To!!

After weeks of researching where to have Sunday roast during my visit to London, I decided on Blacklock and they lived up to the hype. You will need to book at least a month out as reservations go quickly. We went with the All In and there was plenty of food to share. Everything was delicious. If I'm ever back in London I'll be sure to come here again.

Amazing Sunday roast

Have visited Blacklock before and it always impresses however today was our first visit for a Sunday roast. The food was amazing! Great quality and plenty of it with more gravy, potatoes and veg offered to us through the meal! Shane was great and made our experience even better with take home cheesecake to celebrate my partners birthday. Great meal and definitely will be back!

I went for a Sunday Roast in Blacklock Shoreditch and I loved it. However, I was a bit disappointed by this branch. I had a Rump Fillet which was just OK and some Barbecued Baby Gems which were actually really great. Service was just average and a bit slow.

Just had an amazing meal here with 1st class friendly service. After a fantastic morning in the sky garden having prebooked this restaurant and not realising how close it is to here is a bonus. The ambience and atmosphere was lovely not too packed for a Friday lunchtime we went with the sharing platter. All the meats are cooked to perfection the chips are lovely but the bread and gravy stole it for me. Being a northern lad this is a staple for me but the taste of this took me back to my childhood of gravy an d bread after a proper cooked Sunday lunch. The icing on the cake though is the fabulous cheesecake you just have to try this. One portion more than enough for 2 people and it was sensational. A lovely touch at the end our wonderful waitress Anna a genuinely brilliant warm and friendly host gave us a portion on the house to take away with us. Overall she mad our dining experience an pleasure and 1 I can't wait to try again next time we're in London. Amazing work guys keep it up 👍

Really good night here if you like lots of chips and steaks. A great vibe but quite acoustically dynamic. Service was very attentive and definitely will go back.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
