Amazing Sunday Roast

So we were in the east end on a Sunday (the best day to visit there in my opinion), and so I booked Sunday Roast here way in advance. Service was very good. We ordered 4 all-ins. Giant plate came out, obligatory photos followed. All the food was super delicious, even the vegetables at the bottom. Seriously, the best carrots I've ever tasted. Anyway, despite the giant amount of food...we wanted more! But having spent 22 GBP per person already...

Anyway, my first Sunday Roast in England so no other restaurant to compare it to, but I thought the food and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Always my go to for a meat fueled feast!

Skinny lamb chops to start are a must, followed by a massive sharing meat cut, sides of fries, Garlic bone marrow and baby gem lettuce with anchovy butter are my faves!

Service is always good even when busy, though on occasions you have to wait quite a while to get your food. It's worth the wait!

Standards slipping

Visited here again after a few years and sadly standards have slipped somewhat. Our roasts came out cold, with the meat rather undercooked in parts. Had to reject them. The replacements were better although I thought the cabbage was overdone. Spoiled what was otherwise a nice pre birthday meal.

Wonderful carnivorous experience.
Took the "All in" menu (1 finger food appetizer, a plate full of pork, beef and lamb chops and 1 side). 22GBP and stuffed myself with juicy meat.
Service is super kind, had a revisited version of Bloody Mary with beef juice in it (!!!).
Industrial styled restaurant, with bricks and iron.

I didn't go for Sunday roast but I can't imagine why they wouldn't crush it for all the Brits. We were a table of 6 and needed a lot of hand holding and explanation of the menu. Also we had two vegetarians with us. The beef was spectacular. Two people at our table got lamb and raved about it. And the two veggie dishes (celeriac and halloumi) might have been the crowd pleasers out of everything. Shocking I know. The staff were on point. Atmosphere cool and trendy without going over the top. I had to ask what every single table was getting .... See pic. It's the cheesecake but not a typical cheesecake we eat in 'merica more of a delicious shortbread cookie with the most amazing cream topped over it. Fckn bomb.

Went to Blacklock Monday 07th March 2022 first ever visit after reading the reviews on here, had pre-booked our table and upon arrival was shown straight to it.

The waiter was very attentive and took our drinks order which quickly arrived. He talked through “butchers prices day” today and explained the different meat and weights available with the savings.

I choose a steak which was perfectly cooked and tasted great.

Ended meal with a white chocolate cheesecake which was delicious.

Service throughout was spot and the bill was reasonable for what we had & drinks!

Will definitely return!

One of the better Sunday Roasts I've had - not only from a food standpoint, but decor and service as well.I got lamb, and my friend did the beef. The beef was juicy - I wish I got the beef. Which is the reason I'm giving a 3 out of 5. After having hers, I felt like my lamb was a bit bland. Felt a bit short changed on the veggies. Could've used more cabbage and carrots.The Beefy Mary (their version of a Bloody) was good w/ Mezcal, but really lacked the smoky flavor that was coming across in the description. With a name like Beefy Mary, I was also hoping that there would be a slider or a piece of beef to top off the drink.The Coffee/Rum cocktail was equal parts buzzy and boozy - just way too sweet. Deters anyone from getting dessert or another one.

Visited at lunchtime and made very welcome right from the start, couldn’t fault the service. We had the ‘All in’, a plate full of various chops that were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The bone marrow spread was delicious too. Would certainly return or try another Blacklock.

Visited blacklock for the first time a couple of Sundays ago. We came in as a walk-in as we couldn’t book online, we weren’t expected to get a table but the host managed to squeeze us in straight away! It’s a lovely small venue and the atmosphere was great and cozy. My boyfriend is Italian and isn’t a big fan of roasts but he absolutely loved this one! Expect a lot of meat and great Yorkshire puddings. We will be back very soon ☺️

When my booking transfer initiated two days earlier but didn't complete by the day of the reservation, AT was able to expedite the transfer and confirm a table at Call Me Gaby in Miami Beach. I highly recommend this service. Reservations sell out in minutes as they become available at this restaurant. I was able to get a table at the exact time we wanted, on a peak weekend night. Amazing!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
