Casa Playa Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
Great Stay Customer Service Could be Improved
Let me start by saying the Hard Product at the Wynn is phenomenal. Room was well-appointed (TV was a bit small) but everything was clean and well put together. Customer Service could be improved. So I booked with Amex FHR which costs a little bit more but included the following benefits: 30 credit for drinks or minibar 150 spa credit 4pm GUARANTEED Late checkout 60 breakfast credit Spa was phenomenal; 50 minute massage for $90 with tip when accounting for the spa credit Minibar snacks were a nice touch Breakfast we did at the buffet which was also great and the quality of the food was top notch However the hotel had an issue with the late checkout. There was no do not disturb doortag in my room and housekeeping kept knocking on the hour (4-5 times total) from 12 pm to 4pm - despite being told multiple times I had late checkout. I wanted to sleep for a bit since I had a red-eye back to the East coast obviously this did not happen. I informed the front desk about this and they were like oh we dont see the 4pm tag on the room. (Makes no sense since to their credit they applied all the appropriate credits listed above were applied). I asked for someone to follow up with me about the stay so far radio silence. I understand service issues can happen but I think at least a follow up is due here. Overall its too bad. I would have happily given this place 5 stars and booked my next few stays in Vegas at Wynn/Encore but I dont want to be harassed to get a guaranteed benefit. I think the hotel is great with everything is going well, but when things go wrong dont expect recourse.
Top hotel, not top service
5 Star Hotel with 2 Star Service Not the first time I’ve stayed here. Customer service repeatedly has ignored my emails. Not what i expect from a hotel like this. I have been charged incorrectly for a buffet where I also unfortunately had to complain about the quality and selection of food. I have been waiting for over a year for someone to get back to me . No one has I stayed this year and again, no one felt responsible for this issue. Checkin staff was however great
Incredible food and service.
Well worth the money for such excellent service and food. Dessert is a must.
Located in the Wynn Encore, Casa Playa is a playful, upbeat
Located in the Wynn Encore, Casa Playa is a playful, upbeat Mexican beach house delivering a nightclub energy. This isn't your grandmas kitchen, it's bursting with cool Latin EDM courtesy of the live DJ. Fun, fun, fun! Entering feels a little like TAO but quickly taking on its own identity. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Service staff was fantastic, quickly offering us a choice of water, tortilla chips and salsa. The guacamole was fresh, homemade and delicious. Tortilla chips were perfectly salted and the best I've ever had. Our group ordered mostly fish, BRANZINO ZARANDEADO, and QUESADILLA "MACHETE", CHILE ROASTED EGGPLANT, BLACK BASS and CUCUMBER SALAD for the table to share. Everything was delicious and enhanced with the special sauces that accompany the mains. For dessert we shared CHURROS for the table. Perched on sticks are 4 churros with MEXICAN CHOCOLATE, CAJETA, CANDIED PEANUTS, TOASTED COCONUT!! Yummy We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will be back again. Our group gave a 5 out of 5!
if anyone asks me what my favorite restaurant is in all of
if anyone asks me what my favorite restaurant is in all of vegas it would be casa playa. we frequent mexico for vacation and we've never found a restaurant that is able to deliver the quality and feel like casa playa does like we do on our vacations in mexico. you can't go wrong with any drink or food offerings on the menu, even the margarita de la casa is fantastic, my hubs is obsessed with the frozen mango marg. we love casa playa so much that we always make sure we're visiting vegas when they're open (they're closed on tues-wed). wanted to give a shoutout to carlos for the exceptional service during our dinner. he made great recommendations on food and is just a warm and attentive server that made our dinner memorable. we love dining during "geriatric" hours of 5:30pm, but hopefully next time we can hold over until 8pm so we can enjoy some dj sets :)
Good ambiance.
Food and a few of their alcoholic beverages pretty good. Felt rushed by their wait staff. I expect more for their price and for the fact that it's a restaurant at encore.
What a disappointment
First the good things: A nice hotel room, but the designer overdosed on faux gold lacquer-the entire room decor was just not my style. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly and the AC was quiet and kept the room at exactly the right temperature I wanted it. The bathroom was large and had plenty of soap, shampoo etc. The staff were by and large friendly and helpful but with a dose of disinterest, and obviously looking forward to getting off their shift. The not so good side: Be prepared to be nickle and dimed on EVERYTHING. A can of coke in your room-$8.00, a 0.5L bottle of Fiji water for $12.00. Everything in the minibar was obscenely overpriced. I get it that this is Vegas, but this was ridiculous. The food in every restaurant was horrendously over priced and you need to make reservations days if not weeks in advance of your arrival. There was very little availability in the restaurants when we arrived, so ended up going to other restaurants in town. Good for us as we had better food. The casino was extremely smokey which irritated by throat and made all of my clothes stink. The Wynn is intentionally designed to force you to walk through the casino to go anywhere and is confusing so you get lost in the middle of a smokey, bright pulsating light and loud music environment that is almost seizure inducing. Would I stay there again? Absolutely not, not even if I won a free weekend there. If you want a nice luxury hotel go to the Waldorf Astoria or Four Seasons.
Casa Playa is absolutely the best place in Vegas! We love
Casa Playa is absolutely the best place in Vegas! We love the Wynn, but what makes us coming back is this restaurant. This venue is beautiful, great vibes and even more amazing food and service! Jerry, Jose, Jeff along with their entire staff are so wonderful and makes us feel like family each and every time. This place hits it out the park on all categories.
Nice Experience
Lots of things to do , inside of the hotel Almost no need to venture to other properties on the strip if its not a destination Casinos are sufficient Restaurants are good We have stayed at both properties , several times No major complaints Good choice
One of the best hotels in Vegas
Very nice hotel. A little quieter than the Wynn, the room was very comfortable and nice interiors. Great bed, sofa, bathroom. Encore gym is better than the Wynn's. The restaurants were very nice and accessible. Although the casino is smaller than the Wynn side ( and quieter), you can easily walk over for more action/noise to the Wynn. I prefer the quieter Encore side. If they have a large group, don't be surprised to be waiting in line for the elevator at certain times. Friendly staff. Also easy walk to the all the shops/restaurants next door at the Venetian. Definitely one of the better hotels on the north side of the strip.
My favorite dinner spot at Encore! Great ambiance.
Friendly and attentive staff. Delicious and well presented food. Should've taken photos of everything else we got, but we'll do that next time :P
Wynn Encore, treat yourself !
We love this hotel, everything about Wynn Encore is exceptional. Once again we stayed in one of their giant sized tower suites with a fabulous view. The staff could not be more friendly and the hotel is a little quieter and more refined than Wynn itself. We dined at Mizumi ( world class ) we dined at SW (twice) both were amazing and never disappoints. We cannot wait to return again to Las Vegas and to Wynn Encore.
Simply the greatest meal of my life.
Carnitas . I. Don't know what else to say. Delicious. Perfect.
My boyfriend took me here for our date night before heading
My boyfriend took me here for our date night before heading to the Myrons at the Smith Center. Once we got to the entrance of the restaurant you are immediately greeted by the dramatic coral floral curtains that let you into the restaurant. Ambience throughout the restaurant was very Baja California resort chic. Interior design element that I felt that I saw had Mayan culture as well. We sat one of their beautiful botanical booths and had view of the bar and hanging fish lanterns. Food and Drink was so delicious! For appetizers we had chips and salsa- (provided 3 different salsa) and the Octopus. Very delicious! We both ordered the BLOOD ORANGE SANGRIA, very fresh and tasty! I felt like I could have 3 more of these but were on a time limit. For Entree my boyfriend ordered the BRANZINO ZARANDEADO ( CHILE SOY ADOBO, WATERMELON RADISH) and I orderd the LAMB BIRRIA that came with tortillas. Every dish, the ambience and Custer service was on point! Definitely coming back!
Amazing food.
Ambience was great for date night/celebrating our anniversary, and the service was amazing. Will definitely come back when in Vegas again.
Went with friends after going to the Art Of Wild festival
Went with friends after going to the Art Of Wild festival so it was convenient that it was nearby. The entrance is beautiful and perfect for a photo op. We just sat at the bar and ordered from Daniel who was friendly and provided great service! Ordered the quesadilla machete and it was so fresh and good. Can't wait to go back to try more of their food and drinks!
Seems to have lost the Wynn charm. Very pricey with lots of nickel and dime items
Hard to explain. The facilities have been kept well; however, for the premium price hard to see the benefits. Everything is a charge now. The Internet included in the resort fee is only basic and sluggish. Always shocked these high end hotels don't believe in coffee maker. Some people don't want room service and just want a coffee before you start the day. Food at all restaurants was very good but just terribly expensive. As an example we had a 60 USD for two breakfast credit and ordering a coffee, food item and maybe one side always has our bill almost 2x that. Most striking thing was front desk interactions. Had four instances and each time the attitude seemed to be that they were doing me a favor by providing a high level of service. Room is stocked with almost nothing but a mini bar. Two wine glasses and nothing else. The room size is bigger than most on strip but the extra living area you quickly realize isn't that efficient to use. Look. It's a nice place but hard to justify the price premium.
Wonderful week at the Encore!
Just back from a seven night stay at the Encore. We have stayed here many times, yet when we walk in, it still makes us gasp at how beautiful it all is. It is certainly not a new hotel now but you would never know it as it is maintained so efficiently. From the moment we checked in to when we checked out, we were looked after. The staff are second to none. Whilst there we enjoyed meals at Jardin, Terrace Pointe, Charlie’s, the Buffet and the Express cafe. However, the best meal of the week was definitely at Sinatra in the Wynn. Perfect corner table, fabulous food, perfect service. I can’t recommend it highly enough. All good things come to an end and the week flew by but we will definitely be back and it will definitely be to stay at the Encore. I can’t imagine why anyone would choose to stay anywhere else in Las Vegas.
Top Notch on the strip
The Encore is always Top Notch! Clean rooms great ambience, very good restaurant selections. If you like Buffett's I think it's probably the best. They were refurbishing the pools which wasn't an issue at all as the European pool is beautiful and the gardens walking to it are beautiful. The hotel/resort just feels on another level above the other high end.
Fraudulent mini bar charges
Watch out for fraudulent mini bar charges when you checkout! Went on a business trip, never touched anything in the mini bar and when I looked at the folio, found over $60 worth of charges. Called to dispute the charges and spent over 30 minutes on the phone just for the response that you have to dispute it upon checking out. Now I need to dispute it through my credit card. Turned an otherwise good experience into a poor one.
Worst experience on Christmas - charged for items we never touched! This place scams their guests!
The Wynn is a complete scam. We stayed in a suite at Encore for Christmas and we put our gifts on the counter where the dry bar is. I guess our gifts and mini tree triggered something with the mini bar and when we checked out they hit me with $900 in mini bar charges when WE DID NOT TOUCH THE MINI BAR AT ALL. I should have taken a photo of it before we left because they COMPLETELY ripped us off. They charged us for things like a hangover kit and things I have no idea what they are. It's a complete disaster. They can basically lie and charge you for anything in the room even if you didn't touch it or use it. DO NOT STAY HERE they will send you a ledger stating all these charges that have nothing to do with you or your stay. For all I know the maids could have taken everything in the mini bar but we brought our own alcohol, our own gifts, our own christmas tree - we didn't need anything from them yet we got charged anyway. They charged my card WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION and I am STILL fighting this with my credit card company. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Took long enough, but finally found upscale Mexican on the strip that is fantastic. Highly enjoyed everything we had here.
The food and service was absolutely extraordinary.
There wasn't a dish that we didn't love. Jeff would explain each dish and the back story which was amazing and so interesting. Our server Alex was amazing as well. The music and ambiance was great, everyone was lovely.
Win at Wynn
An impressive behemoth with really modern parts and really weird parts. The rooms were great, we stayed on the 60th floor with voice operated room technology, superfast elevators and really nice feel to it all. The breakfast buffet was a mixed bag: a lot on offer, yet a total chaos in an unwelcoming setting. Food was very good and the staff excellent, yet it all felt like a stark contrast to the rooms. Casino and bars work well and are fun to hang out in.
My friends and I were looking for an upbeat yet relaxing
My friends and I were looking for an upbeat yet relaxing dinner spot in Las Vegas after a long day of conference. When we walked into Casa Playa, the energetic DJ music and colorful decor immediately lifted our spirits. We were greeted by our friendly server who recommended the perfect drinks to pair with our meals. The mushroom tacos were simply divine - the mushrooms were sautéed to perfection, with just the right amount of spice to tickle the tastebuds. I savored every last bite, happily surprised at how such simple ingredients could be transformed into something so flavorful. The surf n' turf was a true feast for the senses with tender steak and fresh seafood Grilled to perfection. Even the pickiest eater in our group was fully satisfied. We felt fully recharged after our delicious and satisfying meals. But we didn't want the night to end so we indulged in some decadent desserts. The churros con crema were melt-in-your mouth heavenly. Leaving full and content, we agreed Casa Playa should be our new go-to spot when we're looking to unwind over great food and a good dinner DJ in Vegas. The warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel right at home. We can't wait to come back!
Overcharged
I had a terrible experience at my last stay in Encore. It is the forth time I go to Las Vegas for NADA Convencial. I already stayed at Whyn twice and I’ve never had any problem with overrated charges. On my last stay, they charged me 145 dollars due to some packages that I bought online. When I questioned them about these charges, the attendant told me it’s a common practice in Las Vegas to have those kind of charges. But like I said before it’s not the first time I’ve been here or stay at a Whyn hotel. It was definitely the first time they charged me for it. What upsets me the most is that I don’t recall signing anything, or read anywhere during my reservation, checking and stay at hotel remind me that they started charging for delivered packages. I only took knowledge of it when I checked out and they printed all my expenses. Also, when they took my packages to the room, they delivered some that weren’t even on my name. And I had to call them to let they know, and pick up. Also, they showed me the orders that were sent to my room. And asked me to sign a document, but they realized that they made a mistake and some of the itens that were at the paper were not delivered yet and was still at the Business Center. When I check out of the hotel, the Business Center was closed, and I couldn’t check, negotiate or verify any of the charges that was in the bill of my room. And nobody at the front desk could help me, not even the manager. The items that I bought were: chargers, medicine, tea, digestives. If I sum up everything that I bought, it will be less than 100 dollars. These is totally outrageous, and I can guarantee that I will never attend these hotel again. You lost a client, and I will write a review in google, booking and Hotels.com explaining what happened to me, so that everybody that considers staying at Whyn or Encore knows that they can expect.
Came here with a few friends last week to check it out.
I personally love the ambience of this place. It was busy but our server was very good, she made sure to keep checking in on us and making sure we were having a good time. The flan was my favorite! I'm not a fan of sweets but it was pretty GOOD.
Amazing Stay
The Encore is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was immaculately clean, very spacious and state of the art. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The only drawback during my stay was the parking pass was intermittent. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Las Vegas.
Great way to finish 2023!
Love the Panoramic Suites, specially looking at the Mountains. Accommodations are so comfortable that you don’t want to leave. Housekeeping service are amazing everything is perfect when you come back to the room and any request its not a problem. Had a lovely dinner at Wazuzu, also at the Mexican new restaurant. Driinks at their Lobby & Lounge Bar. Location is excellent and everything is within walking distance. Went to see their show Awakening and enjoyed it very much, We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back any time.
Some of the best Mexican food in the city of sin.
Always great service and the atmosphere is great. I love the managers who come to the table and give us attention thank you we will be back
If you are looking for good Mexican food, keep looking,
If you are looking for good Mexican food, keep looking, this is not it. The food was all over salted and bland. Upon arrival of our appetizer, the server placed a scalding hot Iron skillet on our table and said nothing about using Caution! We'll my Girl burned her arm and now has a scar for life! The staff was not apologetic, nor did they seem concerned??? They offered nothing to resolve our complaint. You're on your own in this place. Oh and $150 for Mexican food, this is insane. Eat and enjoy yourself somewhere elsewhere.
Great service, lovely decoration, perfect for any special

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Appointment
I was waiting on the transfer for name but it hasn’t happened yet and my reservation is tonight , will it be an issue that is hasn’t changed into my name yet
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Just got scammed!
Thats unfortunate but you can always get your money back if they cancel the reservation.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
