Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

The hotel is nice and the staff are great -- but there's something that was missing for us about the experience at Claridge's. Even with a very attentive staff, the hotel is a bit impersonal. The lobby is not at all inviting. We had dinner at the Foyer restaurant and the food was awful, though very pricey.

Simply outstanding, quintessentially British to a tee! However not stuffy, or reserve, but still elegant, smart and approachable. We stayed for two nights and did a Timeless Escape in a balcony suite, which overlooking Mayfair was stunning. Parking was included was a nice touch, really helpful. We had dinner in the foyer restaurant on our first night which was great, everyone was smartly dressed and we had excellent service and some fun with our waiter - Yanis, who remembered us from a previous visit (all these touches make a difference). For breakfast we were relaxed in trackkes, sliders and T's and it wasn't an issue. The new spa (5 floors down) was sublime as was the room and overall attention to detail. We loved all the Damien Hirst details long with the incredible Stained Glass window which you could see from the ground floor. We couldn't fault it, it felt like home and we will be back - a new tradition has been born. Thank you.

If you’re looking for a proper English tea you can never go wrong with Claridge’s. The atmosphere is lovely, the service so attentive and the teas are delicious. The sandwiches- not my thing but the pastries were yummy! The even gave us a special cheesecake as first time customers!

Claridge’s has always been one of the top hotels in London but let’s face it, over the years, it had begun to get tired. Not anymore! The hotel has been renovated top to bottom and is also expanding. Claridge’s advantages have always been extensive. It’s location in the center of Mayfair can’t be beaten and it has always oozed charm and class. The staff has always provided top notch service and it’s bar is one of the best in the world. This is why it has been a classic for almost a century. These strengths remain. The hotel, however, had been in need of renovation because the rooms, while classic and charming, has become dated. In addition, the hotel lacked a spa facility. The recent renovation fixes all of this. The rooms now are the best of any city hotel that we have been too. They are now truly beautiful in every respect. The designers have been able to achieve the impossible and have balanced modernity and tradition with perfection. The room facilities are first class with stunning modern bathrooms, amazing showers and air conditioning that can finally hold its own with global warming! The design however retains the hotels Art Deco traditions with beautiful parquet wood floors and attention to detail throughout. Claridge’s has regained its position as the finest hotel in London and indeed has to be a contender on any list of finest city hotels in the world!

I believe Claridge’s is the finest hotel in London and perhaps even the world. Very attentive (but not intrusive) team that made the stay very comfortable. The Painter’s Room is an ideal bar for a pre-theatre light bite and drinks. The Claridge’s Bar was sublime with lots of atmosphere.

July summer stay

We have been very lucky to stay here a few times and decided this time to take the family for a stay up london . It was a very busy weekend (90 % occupancy ) and there was a delay with our room being ready . However we well looked after by the hotel , so this wasn’t an issue and too our surprise ( and gratitude ) when the room was ready we had been upgraded to a claridges suite with connecting room for the kids . The room (130 for those interested) is highly recommended . We had our own butler , Steve , who welcomed us with friendly demeanour and helped with our every request . He really went out of his way to make our stay special . Looked a recently added suite in conjunction with the multi million pound refurb and it was spacious , modern , light and just had sumptuous feel about it . A very generous dressing area which the wife loved and fantastic bathroom . Dinner at the Foyer was top class and pre / post drinks at claridge bar rounded off the prefect stay. One small minor observation at breakfast , the presentation of the English breakfast just seemed rushed . There was a vine of cherry tomatoes on top which as tasty cherry tomatoes are wasn’t easy to cut into or eat without the juices squirting out all over the place. Like I said small observation. Overall another lovely stay with the usual friendly staff on hand to help you with any issue.

We’ve lived in London for over a decade and just got married. We decided to stay in a 5 star hotel the night before and the day of our wedding and while London has a lot of choice, we immediately knew we wanted to stay at Claridge’s. It was the best decision we could have made. From the first email regarding the booking to the final checkout, everyone we spoke to was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were treated so wonderfully throughout our stay and we felt so incredibly special. The room was gorgeous and had everything we needed, getting ready there on the day of my wedding is something I will never forget. We had champagne in the bars on the ground floor and the service was incredible. We ordered breakfast to the room the day after our wedding which we enjoyed on the terrace overlooking Mayfair, and it was wonderful. We really didn’t want to leave! I would highly recommend Claridge’s for any special occasion (or if you just want to treat yourself!) you will not regret it. Thank you Claridge’s for providing us with an unforgettable stay, we hope we can celebrate our first wedding anniversary there too. Jenna and Emanuele

From the moment we made our booking, until the taxi door was shut and our departure from Claridge's was complete, every hotel touch point was approachable, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. From the doorman who worked tirelessly to secure taxis for our two sons to return them home at midnight to trickier spots in London to George and the fantastic bar staff who delivered cocktails, canapes & cakes, with style and an abundance of fun. We loved our stay and we loved the people. A short stay for a milestone birthday treat was turned into a truly memorable occasion, by the service and warmth shown. We will be back

Afternoon tea at Claridges includes: sandwiches, scones, pastries, and unlimited teaSandwiches: Poached and smoked salmon with samphire on rye bread 6.74/10- I was honestly most excited for this sandwich as I love smoked salmon, however I was a bit disappointed because I thought it would be more flavorful. However most of the flavor was from the salmon, and the sandwich itself was a bit dry. It was still okay and the salmon was very fresh.Coronation chicken on brown granary bread 8.78/10- this was my second favorite sandwich, so much flavor and hints of spices!! Absolutely loved itHam with tomato chutney and watercress on onion bread 7.42/10- this was tasty however it could have used more chutney. Ham itself added a lot of flavor but I couldn't tell the bread was onion bread Egg with tomato and basil on white bread 5.31/10- pretty bland, it was just okay. Honestly had higher expectations. Also egg was a bit lukewarm, would definitely taste better if served cold.Cucumber with lemon cream cheese on white bread 6.78/10- your average cucumber and cream cheese sandwich, enjoyed it however also was hoping for more flavor. Goat cheese, tomato, and basil eclair 9.88/10- this was my favorite sandwich of them all. SO flavorful. The eclair was very light and fluffy, the basil added a lot of flavor but wasn't overwhelming. The goat cheese was strong and made this sandwich taste like a savory pastry. Honestly so good. If sandwiches all tasted like this I'd have sandwiches all the time. Truly outdid themselves with this one.Plain and raisin scones 10/10- these were both so good. I liked the raisin one more just due to the added texture and sweetness of the raisin, however both of them were so fluffy, doughy, and filled with butter. Exceptional. Served with Cornish clotted cream and Marco Polo geléePastries:Chocolate and pistachio 4.34/10- a bit too dry for my liking and I don't think this paired well Caramel Saint honoré 7.32/10- really liked the filo pastry and the caramel was very rich in flavor Raspberry Eton 9.34/10 my personal fav, loved the custard filling Frasier with vanilla ganache 7.86/10- custard was good; didn't like the outerAnd for the tea at Claridge's we tried 9 different blends, those being:Claridge's blend- exclusive to Claridge's, English Breakfast tea, has a malty finishThe rare chai - different from a regular chai because it's handcrafted and enhanced with spices, regular chai often uses "low grade tea and disguises it with spices" Malawi antler - made from the stems of the tea bush, "antlers" represent the earth of Malawi, only a few kilos of this tea are produced every year, and it can only be found in two places: one being Claridge's Jasmine silver tip - white tea, jasmine flowers are made to have this tea scented over 6 nights rather than artificially scented! White Silver tip- made entirely from spring buds that can only be picked for 20 days out of the entire year in mountains in eastern china, highest level of antioxidants and lowest caffeine levelRose pouchong - Indian black tea made with rose petals Sri Lankan hand rolled- hand rolled leaf to make tea, only a few kilos of this tea are produced per yearGenmaicha - top grade sencha crafted by Moriuchi San- huge tea master on his 200 year old tea garden in ShizuokaFresh English mint - grown exclusively for Claridge's in the Botanical Gardens in CornwallSuch a cute spot for tea and they have rare selections!! Most incredible hotel with beautiful surroundings, warm lovely staff, delicious food & fabulous cocktails! Claridge's saved our one night staycation away while visiting our family in the UK. We had a reservation with the Ritz, but upon our arrival were treated appallingly badly so had to cancel our reservation. Luckily, we managed to get a room at Claridges's who were more than happy to accommodate us, provide the most incredible warm, genuine service and literally pulled out all of the stops to make our stay so memorable. Every single staff member at Claridge's goes out of their way to make you feel special and appreciated. They are so warm, genuine and friendly - the complete opposite of the Ritz. Our room was gorgeous, food incredible and service impeccable. I would give this hotel 100 stars if I could & we will definitely be back.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
