Seems like a local gem off the strip in the arts district.
Service was impeccable, and the overall atmosphere is very laid back hippy. Food is excellent. We ordered the homemade sourdough bread and three dipping sauces to share as an appetizer. Then ordered the cacio e pepe (not on the menu, but they can make it) and one of the traditional roman pastas. Also enjoyed the budino for dessert! Excellent dining experience overall. One fun thing you can do is pay $6 to buy the cooks a round of beer. We decided to do it. They made an announcement and the cooks yelled 'thank you!' It's a fun place.

A unique experience of modern-rustic dishes, trendy atmosphere, surrounded by the colors of Italy. The pasta and bread are made in house. Everything tasted fresh and seasonal.

This place was so good! Do not pass on the bread and butter
This place was so good! Do not pass on the bread and butter and various delicious spreads! And the guanciale carbonara, forgot the name on the menu, was creamy and it melts in your mouth! Also, the chicken was spectacular with the spinach bread pudding! I dream about the spinach bread pudding! And the beets with the ricotta balls (sorry forgot the name of that dish too) were yummy! I would love to come back when I'm in Vegas!

When the conversation came up on where to eat for our wedding anniversary my wife and I, without hesitation both said "Esther's Kitchen!" We have been coming here for a couple of years now and each time it's been a great experience. We had reservations and were seated promptly. We ordered a sourdough loaf to share with 3 extra spreads and it was great, (although we both thought it was smaller than previous visits?). I ordered the spaghetti which was fresh, and creamy. My wife ordered the Bucatini which was a lot like the spaghetti but had a nice kick to it with the chili included. The restaurant was packed for a Thursday night, but we were never waiting long for our waiter. Overall Esther's kitchen continues to be a great experience. Thank you for once again making our anniversary special with great food and memories!
😍
Great food and service.
Just very difficult to get reservations. As a neighborhood restaurant it would be nice to walk in but we can't.

In a word, mmmmm! Somewhat off the beaten path which isn't a bad thing. Good menu selection, great service, good wine list. The bread is to die for. We could've made a meal of just that. Dine al fresco if you can. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.
😍
Still one of my top favorite restaurants in town.
We usually come for dinner, tried the lunch today and it was as good. Service always friendly, the chef comes to deliver food from time to time which is always nice. Happy to see the restaurant is moving to a new and bigger location soon. We will be there. Thank you!

This was probably one of the best places you can find
This was probably one of the best places you can find yourself in when coming to the art district! Our waiter checked on us multiple times but not too many to be annoying! He recommended a great rose, I didn't quite catch the waiters name but he has a beard and tattoos LOL! Let me start with the fresh baked bread. This has cheese cake factory and everyone else putting bread on their table to SHAME. They have the best fresh bread with 2 different butter choices. It's thick and soft of the inside and the crust is super crunchy. The chicken I had was roasted to perfection. I've never had a better chicken anywhere else. Definitely my favorite go to date spot or just a regular hangout with friends.
The best atmosphere. Most importantly, the best staff. I heard they're moving around the corner to a bigger location which couldn't make me happier.

Make a reservation days in advance for this Arts District
Make a reservation days in advance for this Arts District gem! The food is amaaaaazing- from the freshly made breads and pastas to delicious pizzas you honestly cannot go wrong. My favorite dish is their take on a carbonara, but their Caesar salad is a close second for me. Highly recommend going here for a full wine & dine date night- great wine list!
On a Monday evening, this cute cocina restaurant snuggled in the Art District didn't have a single empty table. It was easier to find parking, but everything that led up to this was worth it. Our server was a tall, beautiful blonde with the warmest smile and wicked tattoos. She was very patient with our group, and answered all of our questions - more than once, twice, thrice. We started with a great bottle of Barolo wine and the house sourdough bread with all the Chef's butter spreads. Our large group of 10 couldn't decide on individuals sides or entrees, so we just ordered a bit of everything and shared - tapas or platillos style. We started off with the Cauliflower allá Romana and we're skeptical if this was the beginning of great food or we just got lucky with the first plate. Then we moved on to the Italian Chopped Salad, and thereafter after every single morsel was delectable: Jimenez Farms goat with polenta was the perfect mix - not too grainy or mushy - and the sprig of mint was just genius. The mushroom risotto was rich and creamy. We ran out of the Aussie Waugh Beef Carpaccio, and ordered another. Mafalda Nero...just the tastiest cork screw noodle. All I can worry About is that I won't find any better dining anywhere on the strip. Rightly so - Leave the populous strip and visit the Art District. Better food and vibes! Esther's is my favorite Vegas restaurant for so many reason.

I'm from Italian house hold, and this food brings me back
I'm from Italian house hold, and this food brings me back to when my Italian mom would cook big pots of pasta on Sunday's. The fresh pasta was to die for, but the pasta wasn't Al dente being too soft for me. The meatballs were good not the way an Italian mom makes them but very close. Good quality marinara sauce. Their Caesar salads presentation was gourmet. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was just okay. I felt like I wasn't a priority to the waiters.

I love the food here, but I am concerned about the service
I love the food here, but I am concerned about the service of their hostess. My daughter and I came in and were quoted an hour wait. After about an hour and a half, I went to the host stand to see where our names were on the list. The hostess said to me "The same place it's been" I have been to a thousand restaurants, and have never had someone speak to me in such a condescending way. Since I do love the food here, and had invested so much time, we decided to continue to wait. After many walk ups who came in after us got seated before us, I followed up once more , and she decided to seat us. I am not sure if anyone else has had this experience with this particular hostess (she is the hostess with shoulder length blonde hair). This would be one of my favorite Italian restaurants, but I cannot come back here if I would have to be greeted by this condescending miserable person again.
😍
This may have been the best food I've ever had.
Went with my girlfriend over spring break and we started with an order of the bread with phenomenal burrata spread which also came with this delicious butter. For dinner I got the Calabrian Octopus Stew which was possibly the best dish I've ever had. Mussels, tender octopus, the broth, the ravioli, everything was ridiculously delicious and it came with these two pieces of herb bread to help soak up the remaining broth. My girlfriend got the mushroom risotto which was creamy and sumptuous while being entirely vegan. Fantastic food and service and would recommend to anybody willing to break away off the Strip and enjoy some farm to table cooking. This beats high class Strip restaurants and slightly cheaper but still maintains a nice laidback hip vibe.
😍
We are on a quick get away and met friends here.
(Take note there is a lot of street repairs and such with hard to park.) we took a taxi from our hotel and friends met us. They had made reservations. We sat in the far corner near the kitchen and I thought oh no it will be loud. The music was but they graciously turned it down. We had the salad with Caesar dressing and the Italian salad, 2 single orders of bread with different toppings (so order as it is delicious.) One tortellini, a small pizza, spaghetti and rigatoni. There were 5 of us and we all sampled each other's. It was all very Italian! Make reservations as the place was packed and people waiting on a Monday evening!

We went here last Sunday, March 13 for my daughters 25th
We went here last Sunday, March 13 for my daughters 25th birthday. Esther's is her favorite restaurant. I made the reservations almost 3 weeks in advance, on Tuesday, February 22 for patio dining as my daughter wanted to eat outside, specifically. Parking downtown was a huge JOKE as they are doing road construction down there, so I called to let them know we were going to be 5 minutes late and then we we arrived I dropped everyone off while I parked. When I arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes later, my family was seated INSIDE. They told me that the hostess told them that the reservation was for inside. That was false. I pulled up my email confirmation showing that it was for 1:45 OUTSIDE and went up to show the hostess. (She was short and had dark, longish hair. I wish I had gotten her name, but didn't.)She said, "Sorry. We can't seat you outside. There is a reservation at 2:15. If they don't show up, you can go outside."I looked at her, incredulous, but didn't say anything, as my daughter had begged me before I went up to talk to her not to be "A Karen" And make a big fuss. But inside, I was seething. Why were the freaking 2:15 peoples reservation more important than ours?!? Why did we have to sit inside when my reservation clearly was for outside? I sat back down and told my family what had transpired, and my daughter told me it was fine, not to "Be that person." but it WAS NOT fine! I had made the reservation 20 days in advance specifically to eat outside for my daughter's birthday because Esther's is her favorite restaurant, and she requested to be outside. And now the hostess was just blowing me off like making a reservation 3 weeks in advance apparently does not matter?!? We ordered drinks and appetizers, all the while I was very angry and feeling stressed that my daughter's birthday celebration wasn't what she wanted. Our waitress, Martha, was being extremely kind and attentive, so instead of just sitting there being annoyed I told her about our situation, and asked her to please let us know if the 2:15 peeps didn't show up. I showed her my phone with the outside reservation, and she immediately moved us outside. Drinks, appetizers, us... We all moved outside to a table that was free and that was that. I'm not sure why it was so hard for the hostess to do that in the first place , but I do appreciate Martha taking care of us. She was only our server for a few minutes, but she did a great job in that short time. The food was ok, even my daughter said she liked the dinner menu better, as she had never been there for brunch before. We enjoyed the crusty bread and burrata. The 2 people that got the pasta pomodoro liked it. My daughter got a salad that had too much dressing on it.I think I would try Esther's again, but at dinner time, as I did not really love the selection the brunch menu offered. Also, I would go in a few months when the road construction is done, as parking is a crazy mess. But I will say it was lovely eating out on the patio, and I really appreciate Martha making it happen!

My friends and I chose to venture off the Strip and into
My friends and I chose to venture off the Strip and into the Arts District to dine at this trendy eatery. We made reservations in advance which I highly recommend as the restaurant was packed. We started with their Three Choice Housemade Sourdough Bread, which is a must! For our three spreads, we chose Basil Ricotta, Anchovy Butter, and Fegatini. The bread was thick and crunchy on the outside but tasted like a soft pillow on the inside. The dips were phenomenal but our unanimous favorite was the Anchovy Butter--buttery, savory, and not overpowered by the fish. For dinner, I had the Mushroom Risotto which I was looking forward to but it fell a little short. The risotto was rich, creamy, and packed with mushrooms. Unfortunately, it had some crunchy and undercooked pieces in it. Nonetheless, all of the food we had was flavorful and fresh. The dishes here are seasonally based and the bread and pasta are house-made.Initially, we were to be seated inside but we requested to have a table outside. Outside, we had our private tent which was pleasant. The restaurant itself is loud and lively. Both service and the timing of our food coming out was slow due to the restaurant being slammed. Our waitress was friendly but we had to flag her down multiple times for various reasons. If you're in Vegas and want a quick change of pace, I recommend checking out Esther's Kitchen! It's a unique establishment with a hip feel to it serving locally sourced Italian food. Be sure to get their bread!
😍
We've eaten here once and plan to return soon.
Top-notch service. The food was great. I appreciated that our server actually mentioned some items on the menu that he enjoyed. My husband had an octopus dish that he really enjoyed (can't recall the name) and I really enjoyed the spaghettoni. We ordered 3 of the dips/spreads for the butter and all were good. We split the butterscotch budino for dessert. I had a cup of coffee, which I'm pretty certain was roasted locally by the place just down the street because the taste was familiar. Did I mention the fantastic service? We will definitely be eating here again.
Bread was fluffy in the inside, but scrumptious on the out. Highly recommend ordering their bread. Server was excellent as well, so as the atmosphere! Definitely come here if you are in Vegas!

(Late review - went end of November 2021)For two years
(Late review - went end of November 2021)For two years Esther's has been at the top of my list to try, but it was nearly impossible to get reservations due to my ever-changing and inconsistent schedule. Walk-ups are welcome but I never feel like waiting an hour or longer, which is usually the case here. (For good reason, I understand--this place is incredible and I'm not surprised that it's always at max capacity.)I tried the Meat and Cheese Board along with a seasonal dish (I can't fully remember but it was I believe an orecchiette pasta with squash and pumpkin seed) and a drink that I totally don't remember but it was a 10/10. My go-to at any Italian restaurant is the gnocchi and I am so grateful for the servers recommendation when I couldn't decide between the two as squash/pumpkin is another favorite for me.There are no words to the food here. The best comparison is the scene from Ratatouille when Anton the critic tries the ratatouille. This is that place but in real life and with every dish.

Came on the recommendation of a coworker who used to live
Came on the recommendation of a coworker who used to live in Vegas, and had the best Italian pasta dinner since we visited Italy. The hostess and our waitress were super nice and accommodating. Our waitress talked to us about the pasta alla romana options and we were mentioning how much I loved cacio e pepe while we were in Rome and she said the kitchen would make it for me! And it was DELICIOUS. It was absolutely authentic to the experience we had in Rome. My husband had the bucatini with guanciale and amatriciana which he loved, said it was flavorful and spicy. We both loved the authentic and chewy pastas. For our appetizer we got the sourdough bread with a few dipping/spread options and my favorite was the basil ricotta. I got the rose colored glasses cocktail and it was so pretty and yummy. I sipped so slow to savor it throughout the meal. This has been one of my absolute favorite restaurant experiences and I would recommend Esthers Kitchen to anyone visiting Vegas.

This place is phenomenal! Food, Service, Vibe and everything else you can imagine. There's a lot of construction around them so get there early to have time to find parking. Only downside at the moment. Hopefully the city will hurry up. Well worth the effort.

Authentic Italian food in downtown Vegas.
Everything we tried was excellent - cocktails, sourdough bread, beef carpaccio, buccatini, pizza, and chocolate crepe. The service was great too. Food came out at the right pacing. Our service was awesome. Must try!! Support local, family owned businesses.

Stellar Italian fare in the arts district which somehow nailed being both classic and unique. 4.75 stars Food: 5, Service: 4.5, Atmosphere: 4Cost to worth it rating: 3 (pastas around ~$20)Opentableable: no but via Resy Outdoor seating: yes (can reserve outdoor as well which I appreciate)Return worthiness: yes! I'm ready nowEve award: amazing kids' butter pasta! Highlights:- Not a bad dish in all that we ordered! No small feat for any restaurant.- Carrot gnuddi: star of the night. Pillowy soft little orbs of pasta filled with a delightful bright orange blended carrot mixture. So much flavor and such a heavenly texture they melted in your mouth. Came with long slices of colored carrots and a bit of sauce with some acid to it. Was surprised when my meat loving hub wanted to order it, but so glad he did! 5 stars - Caccio pepe: perfectly balanced. Creamy but not too rich and black peppery but not overwhelming. Noodles were delicious with the right amount of chewiness. 5 stars - Bread with dips: half loaf of fresh thick crusty bread paired with your choice of dips and a buttery black peppered olive oil. We chose these and here are the results in order of preference: ricotta basil, burrata chive, and nduja. Ricotta basil was smooth and light green with the basil touch, burrata was rich yet light, and nduja sausage was an orange my red, dense and super spicy. 5 stars- Kids butter pasta: a mound of twirled fresh spaghetti noodles doused in a wonderful butter sauce. Not your average kids dish and only $10! 4.75 stars- Porchetta: lovely hunk of pork encases in that delightful thick crispy fatty skin. Very fennel forward with some spice so not for the faint of heart. 4.5 stars - Wines: loved the ones we got from a rosato to a Pinot noir and great prices by the glass.- Drinks: I got a lovely bourbon egg white cocktail and my hub enjoyed his yellow Negroni.- Amaro selection: if you like these, this is your place. 25 to choose from and you can get a flight of 3.- Waitress: super helpful even with drink orders knowing the characteristics of the amaros to help my husband decide.- Outdoor seating: fun painted art on the walls and lots of fun colored pillows on the couch like side of the table. Midlights:- Polpette (meatballs): soft meat mixture but I didn't personally care for a bit of a mealy texture, but my friend really liked them. 3.25 stars - I wanted to try almost everything but we only had 3 adults sharing so could only pick a few ;-)Lowlights:Note this was from May '21-I'm a bit behind posting - We booked a outdoor pod tent on Resy cause my young son is anxious about safety during these times, but were seated in the general outdoor area. I didn't see any of the tents, so assume they were taken down or not suited for super hot weather, but it wouldn't been nice if they had given us a heads up since we booked the restaurant because of that private dining space. - Their misters were broken and it was 106 degrees outside and only a small rotating fan. They said they had been inoperable since winter, so I hope now that they're open, they can get those fixed or use a portable cooling system as it'll only get more toasty in summer.Loved this meal and after we left I already wanted to go back to try more!

Esther's kitchen we absolutely loved dining in with you
Esther's kitchen we absolutely loved dining in with you yesterday evening. Me and my coworkers make it a point to hit up new restaurants at least once a month. Wedding turn on our friend Ruby planted the seed and we came to check it out. We each had a different dish Which is awesome so we each get to taste a little bit of everything. So we had the sourdough bread with the basil herb butter, it was gorgeous. Our waitress was knowledgeable and explained the menu to us as it was our first time there. So altogether we had the mushroom risotto, spaghetti and meatballs and work out a dish with a lobster and the squid ink that turns the pasta black. This was the best dish although all three were excellent. Just everything about Esther's kitchen was amazing and they even have a beautiful outdoor patio. We all had a drink called cool runnings And we recommend y'all try one too. I would highly recommend this fine establishment to My family and friends. They have excellent customer service, soothing ambiance and outstanding food choices. Thank you all.. we will return again and again.
😍
The meal we had here falls under my top 5 meals of all time.
We were blown away by how good the food was. The appetizers are incredible, I'm sad we couldn't try them all. I'm a vegetarian and ordered the ricotta gnudi as my main. The first bite was heaven, I haven't tasted something that delicious in a long time. And this sounds dramatic but the butterscotch budijo literally brought tears to my eyes, it was that yummy. I'm so upset I don't live in Vegas, otherwise I'd be at this restaurant everyday.
🙂

Very good! Long wait so make reservations! I wish they had gluten free pasta because my son's spaghetti and meatballs looked amazing. Chicken parm was good. Truffle polenta was fabulous! Flavor was spot on! My cocktail was divine. It had rose petal foam and it was like drinking a cloud.

Visiting from out of town.
Esther's was our first choice in dining, as it came highly recommended. We arrived excited to try the chef's culinary magic. Restaurants should remember that a truly memorable dining experience is the result of BOTH amazing food AND warm, attentive staff. It has been a very long time since I had such terrible restaurant service. In a nutshell, Bobby (server) was awful. He was unhelpful, unfriendly, aloof, and downright rude. The list is long, but here it goes:-Waited 20 minutes after sitting down before being acknowledged in any way by him,-He then rushed over and hurriedly took our drink orders without welcoming us and immediately asked if we would like to order everything at that time,-When I asked what his favorite cocktail on the new menu was, he offered no suggestions and seemed annoyed by the question,-When I asked about the bread and incredible whipped butter that I'd heard about, he very nastily reported that the butter was not whipped, but "cultured",-When we gave our entree orders, he was not helpful at all. I asked to substitute a pasta due to allergy and he snapped that no changes to the menu were allowed,-He rarely returned to check on us or refill water glasses. When he did, he often sloppily refilled only one and ran off again,-How about a smile? Nope. Human decency? Nope.I chose this restaurant, based on personal recommendations and came with friends. Honestly, I was so embarrassed and kept apologizing to them. I realize that Esther's is very popular and extremely busy and one bad review may not matter to them, but with time, treatment like this from servers can erode the popularity of even the best restaurants. This abhorrent behavior from a bad server can taint the entire restaurant experience, regardless of excellent food quality (which it was). Customer service always matters...always. Four starts for the food, one star for the service..... blended to two stars....

What a great place down in the arts district. Make sure you make a reservation. There are a lot of no-name brands for liquor and wines but you will be pleasantly surprised. The food is excellent and the service is over the top. I want to say thank you to Casey the floor manager for fixing my reservation.

An exemplary Restaurant
Last visited long before COVID-19 altered the face of dining worldwide it was amidst a packed house that Esther’s Kitchen put on a show Wednesday evening, James Trees’ first Las Vegas Restaurant now firmly entrenched as a local icon and in many ways the catalyst to Main Street’s ongoing rejuvenation.
A smash hit from the start, 1130 South Casino Center Boulevard now a destination for locals and tourists alike, it was around 6:00pm that the space was found bustling, seats in the corner providing full views of the room and kitchen where Chef Trees and Stephen Lee took turns manning the pass.
Still offering great service, more refined than previously but without an ounce of pretense, it was after declining Cocktails that plates began to roll out slowly, Dylan Jobsz Sourdough “with all the things” a meal unto itself with highlights including funky Cambozola, intense Liver Mousse, house spicy Salami and Beans made creamier by Pork Fat.
Happy to see Esther’s Classics offered alongside seasonal items, Winter Squash Salad touching each part of the palate from bitter to sweet, Esther’s Duck Crespelle sells Confit in balance with Fungus and Cheese inside a dainty Crepe while Beef Cheek Arancini upgrade the usual Rice Ball while remaining light and virtually oilless.
Making no choice easy in terms of Pasta, the majority made on-site and several subject to change, Tagliatelle arrives perfect al dente beneath deeply flavored Lamb Shank Ragu while Mafaldine Nero does an impressive job in balancing naturally sweet Lobster with Fennel and Citrus atop a hint of Truffles.
More impressive with Tortellini, each stuffed sheet bursting to the tooth amidst ground Pork and Broccoli, Trees’ Ricotta Gnudi remains defiantly gorgeous with its “New Nordic” look while Vegan Risotto will fool even purists thanks to myriad textures such that no two bites are alike.
Rarely sold on Secondi in Italian Restaurants, but happy to make an exception for tender Goat atop Polenta with Oranges and Fennel, Calabrian Octopus Stew also outperformed high expectations thanks to tender Cephalopod set against Sausage-filled Pasta and cooking liquid imbued with Greens that ends up tasting a bit like Cioppino with more complexity.
Not neglecting the Lardo Toast brushed with Chiles, every bit used to sop up residual Broth, Dessert consists of Esther’s forever refining Butterscotch Budino plus an airy Crepe Cake and Nona-style Pine Nut Tart that wouldn’t be complete without a glass of Amaro.
FIVE STARS: While region and style obviously enters any conversation regarding “best Italian,” the experienced diner will quickly realize simply say that there aren't many spots anywhere creating food as comforting yet creative as the team at Esther's Kitchen under that umbrella. Call it modern, call it Cal-Italian or just call it one of Vegas' best restaurants regardless of genre.

OUTSTANDING! In every way! Ambiance, super friendly easy going atmosphere. We had the pleasure of having server, Kristin, you are awesome! The owner passed by to offer us some ‘on the house items’ out of nowhere. These things make a difference. Even just to stop by and make sure we were happy! Every morsel of food was delivered with the utmost in pride and their dedication to food is next to none! We had the privilege to find this hidden gem in the up and coming Art district. We owned our own Mediterranean restaurant for years so we know food! By far, the best meal we’ve has thus far in Vegas and we’ve been everywhere! We will be back this week for sure! Kudos to Esther’s Kitchen….you definitely rank among the best! Well done! Please visit this awesome, well run establishment, you will be glad you experienced food at it’s best!!
Found this place by random chance and really enjoyed It. The food and liquor is all superb and the ambiance fun and convivial. The bar staff are a lot of fun.
I had a basic spaghetti with meatballs on the side, which was great. Enjoyed some genuine Italian beer plus some delightful Santa Barbara wine. Saw lots of dishes go by I want to try next time, such as the goat polenta and artisan pizzas.
All in all, it was an exceptional experience. It’s wise to make a reservation as it was full.
