The filet was one of the best I have had. Wonderful ambiance, food, service and drinks. Two of our friends recommended going to Isabel. The chicken dish , our son raved about. The deserts were also great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others snd would definitely go back

Bad value for money. Confusing menu, small portions and blunt fish, flavourless. They are miserable even with bread portions. I am definitely not going back or recommend to anybody
WORST IN LONDON
This is by the far the WORST RESTAURANT IN LONDON. Food is appalling and tasteless. Check few pictures to understand that The prices are among the most expensive in London. Service by Italian waiter was ok but he was also embarrassed by the food served This is just a glamourous rip off

Blown away by it!
Absolutely amazing experience here. The staff were incredible, going above and beyond (the toilet door has a magnetic closure and I asked a staff for help with closing it, she insisted on waiting for me outside the door so that I don’t need to lock the door). The food was tasty and plentiful, the Negroni and cocktail were perfect. We had such a good night, couldn’t have asked for more. Beautiful place, I can’t wait to come back again !
Awful customer service
Absolutely APPALLING customer service. Booked a month ago for Valentines Day, they sent the wrong set menu to us, which I only found out because I checked before going. We had paid in advance & they refunded the money (because we cancelled as we didn’t want the actual menu they had), which is the absolute minimum they could do, BUT, the manager felt that by refunding she had gone above & beyond & even tried to remind me of their cancellation policy- the policy doesn’t stand when you made the mistake! My husband & I don’t go out often, & now, because of their stupidity, we are not able to go out tonight, & obviously wouldn’t find another table somewhere else at this point on Valentines Day. I of course understand that mistakes happen, but an establishment that tried to put the blame on the client, when they have written proof it was their error, is likely one you’d want to steer clear of.
Service is not adequate to the price you pay
It wasn't my first time at Isabel but it will probably be the last one. Firstly, since I had booked through Opentable I was downgraded to the bar counter seating just few hours before my reservation (notified by email). I called the restaurant to ask why and they said that i should have booked through their website to have a regular table (weird, never happened in any other restaurant), after discussion I was given a regular table but at another timing. I was also asked to pay 100£ online few hours before the booking although I had already given my card details when I made the reservation. Our table was next to a young couple that spent most of their dinner kissing and heavily petting, although all neighbours were quite shocked, none of the restaurant staff did anything. Quite an unpleasant experience while you eat...The restaurant was packed so the service for the second part of the dinner was quite bad, waiting long time for a bottle of water. The food was overpriced as usual. When we left, the girl at the entrance took our token for the wardrobe and she mix-matched our coats with another customer while chatting with her about personal subjects, as a result our coats were dropped on the floor and the staff didn't realised (nor apologised when noticed) as she was too busy talking about private stuff to the other customer. We had to pick up our coats from the floor and leave without even be greeted by the staff. Sorry but that's too much for one (pricey) night out!

Recommended by both The Dorchester Hotel and Claridges. We called 5 minutes ( yes, 5 minutes) after 8:00 as we got turned around walking and we're running 5 minutes late! The "girl" who answered the phone was uncaring and rude after I explained our predicament!! She then proceeded to tell me that our table was to be given up at 10 pm, and hung up on me! I called back infuriated. All of this because I was courteous enough to call for a 5 minute late arrival. When we arrived, I explained all to the manager, who didn't seem to care as we were taken to our table. Not an apology or caring tone from him! Ruined a quite good meal! Wouldn't want them on my customer service staff! Shame on them!!
A simple walk-in turned into a great dinner. Perfect place for drinks and bites. Recommend the fried chicken and the Negroni Sbagliato.
Anxious for a return visit
Arriving on a cold and wet evening through the heaviest of front doors and entering into an unusually large entry room, we were formally and cooly greeted by a hostess, our umbrellas taken by the doorman and our coats promptly wisked away. Walking into the restaurant is a stunning experience as the unusual elegance of the decor and the dramatic square bar in the center of the room so impresses one. The flocked fabric walls with a palm leaves motif were a restful sight offsetting the bustle of the restaurant. Seated, we were promptly served with cocktails and having decided on sharing the Cornish Dover Sole we selected a bottle of a reasonably priced, fine Sancerre. Not everyone’s paired wine, but a favorite of my wife. As expected, the Dover Sole took a while to be prepared and cooked well done and then be ‘stick to one’s teeth fresh’ when presented off the bone. It must have been a large fish listed at 800 g and provided more than ample servings for two. The bed of spinach was an unusual but delightful combination. Most impressive was the service which immediately responded to any indication of need and in many cases anticipated that indication. A prime example of great hospitality with all the staff ‘watching the tables.’ The restaurant was full and, apparently, reservations are essentially mandatory - even as we learned for bar seating on busy nights. Many things create an impression of a restaurant - in this case one was the weight and design of the cutlery, and the heaviest (maybe even weapon grade) pepper grinder while the salt crystals were in an open dish (without the small serviced spoon typically used in such a presentation.) On the other hand the Amaro digestif was not served in the correct glassware, but in a small bucket glass - most strange for the high standards of the restaurant. It was a delightful evening that included a so rarely seen Eaton Mess.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
