Came here for dinner last night, and truly a five star experience. Our server )forgot his name) was wonderful. The food was on point. We had a ceviche, tiradito, the chicken thigh appetizer, scallop appetizer, and miso trout and seafood arroz verde for main entrees. The flavors and textures were unbelievable, presentation was creative and a work of art. Each bite of food was a joy to eat. The views from the restaurant are breathtaking (although we did sit inside). And the drinks were delicious!!! Can't wait to come back!

We stopped by around 7pm on a Saturday and were able to get seated right away without reservations- our group was 4 people total. There's definitely an incentive to get rezzies though so you can have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Since we didn't have reservations, we sat inside. No biggie- we still had an incredible experience and it always is- this was my third time coming to this restaurant, my companions were visiting from Chicago so Peruvian food was a huge mystery to them. The service was really great- the waiter was knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. For four people, we shared the following dishes and felt satisfied at the end: we had the pulpo al olivo, the ceviche chalaco, the empanadas, el arroz verde, and the lomo saltado. For dessert, we had the lucuma + chocolate mousse and chocolate cake w/ vanilla ice cream. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Miami! You won't regret it! Also if you're lucky enough, you'll also get to meet the executive chef Diego Oka!

la mar is absolutely superb!!! from the moment we arrived, the attention at the reception area was great. hostesses were so professional and kind. our server was fantastic, as well as his recommendations. his assistant server was on point in making sure we had what we needed for each of our courses. the drinks & food, EXCELLENT!! the views just brought our experience to another level. definitely would recommend and definitely returning...worth the price, you get what you pay for!!!

What else would be expected from a Michelin starred chef? Fine, delicate ingredientes. Fresh and delicious cocktails. Service left a little bit to be desired, but giving the benefit of the doubt due to the server having at least 6-7 tables under his wing.

Very nice view from Brickell key, looking back toward downtown Miami. My service was very pleasant. Very small wine by the glass list, surprisingly not much South American wine on the wine list, given it is “Peruvian”. Large cebiche menu, if you enjoy that. Empanadas appetizer was decent, but not much filling. I would rather have see have seen more entree and appetizer choices. The focus is clearly on cebiche. Tenderloin stir fry entree was quite good, steak cooked perfectly. Only two desserts available which I skipped. Overall pleasant.

Old saying that if "restaurant spins food stinks" proved again. Octopus was rubber and unchewable, ceviche was covered with excesive amount of sweet and sour sauce covering taste of good fish. Prices are very high and does not seem to be a good value against other excellent choices in Miami. View from the terrace is good though.

We loved the food and the great views on the terrace. We loved the peruvian dishes and drinks. We had the fish of the day and the flavors and presentation was off the hook. Really good. Our waitress was very nice and offered to take pictures of us, which I appreciated a lot. She was authentic and we greatly appreciated her suggestions. Only reason I didn’t give 5/5 is because I specifically asked for a table at the water side of the terrace (they have the best views) and they put us on the other side of the terrace, even though I had made the reservation more than a week in advance. Also it is not cheap, 3 course dinner for two with a glass of wine was 350$. Tip: you can walk around Brickell key after the meal, super nice evening walk.

We ate here last night, the ambiance is a 10/10, the hostesses were OK not super warm. Our waiter was nice, we liked him. He gave good recs for the drinks and food, the pina colado was the freshest I've ever had. I forget what we ordered, we shared the snapper and we started w the empanadas and something else. It's a good 30 min drive from Miami Beach so it depends on where you're staying but overall it was good, would maybe go back

This was our first time trying Peruvian food and I'm glad it was our first impression since the food was really tasty and interesting!I would highly recommend reserving the outdoor sitting rather than sitting indoors because you get to enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean, however the indoor seating is really nice as well.It's located inside the mandarin oriental hotel so valet parking is a good option.We had- tiradito chifa, tiradito Lujoso, quinoa caprese, tiradito laqueado, we also had the special they had on their menu that night which was a whole Japanese yellowtail and limo saltado.The dishes were very interesting and tasty, the whole fish is massive and it's a great portion for two people for the very least.The service was good, I do wish however that the waiter would let us know about the fish portion size instead of just agreeing to everything we asked about to keep adding to the bill, but I'm still glad we got to try it because the presentation and taste are definitely worth it!Portions are definitely on the good side to be able to share, they also bring you a complimentary side of toasted corn that I would recommend to have a tablespoon of it after each dish you have to clean the pallet and prepare for the next dish.The cocktails are good and interesting, highly recommend the coco maiz, we also had the forbidden banter but the coco maiz was much better.Definitely recommend to try this place when you get the chance, especially if it's your first time trying Peruvian food or thinking about an interesting place to celebrate a date or a special occasion.

The setting is really breathtaking, overlooking the water on Brickell Key... I do recommend sitting outside and taking it all in. Service is outstanding and I didn't expect otherwise, but my servers were also very funny and friendly....thank you Aguari and Alex! The brunch is definitely a great option since you are able to try a variety of the restaurant offerings. I love the ceviche and tiradito selection, deferent flavor profiles from classic to Nikkei. One that stands out is the octopus with Kalamata olive...I really loved it. Also the sushi rolls were phenomenal, by far the freshest, could have eaten just this and been happy. Among the hot options the fish chunks, the veal hearts, even the spring rolls abs grilled shrimp were all amazing. There is also a customizable soup section... we're you have a variety of veggies and meats to add you your broth. The brunch prize includes cocktails, wine and beer... I had 4 including the pisco sour, the maracuyá sour.. all super! It also includes a table side prep of the chaufa aeropuerto... the most delicious fried rice you've ever had. You get to choose a main course ... we had the lomo saltado... the beef is super tender, it a must. And the achupado....basically the most delicious and flavorful pasta you will ever have... the chupe sauce is to die for. Last but not least is the little dessert tower...at this point you are just trying to breath and make space but please do so... but if you can only eat one I recommend the lucuma and chocolate...creamy, caramel like flavor...I love you lucuma. Would definitely come here again, I actually can't wait.

This is a great special event restaurant. You must reserve an outdoor table. The atmosphere and setting is beautiful with views of the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay. Dinner was excellent. Cebiche chalaco was full of seafood and flavor. We also enjoyed the anticucho de pollo and the Lomo Saltado. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. Every part of the meal, service and atmosphere was very special. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

Good food but super-disappointing service. The first dish took 35 minutes to arrive and the entire dinner (appetizer, entree and dessert) took over 3 hours. Cocktails were good but the issue was an inattentive waiter. Also, it was a pricy meal relative to the value we have received. NEVER again. Go to LEKU (Basque restaurant) instead.

They will change your knife and fork for next dish and napkin fall down they will immediately notice and change a new one. Outside view very nice too. For food it's ok. Not really surprise me. But taste ok. Octopus appetizer looks nice,taste little bit salty. Branzino fillet taste fresh but the piece little bit small. The vegetables inside too much burn for me and bit oily feels not very healthy(some people perfer the burn flavor for sure). The best dish I think it's the chaufa aeropuerto. Careful when you eat. The stone bowl keeps the temperature high.

What a disappointment! We have tried his restaurants in Peru and have tried other high end Peruvian fusion restaurants in Florida, Paris, New York, etc. and this has to be one of the biggest let downs. The service was horrible, we waited long periods of time without water then when they brought they served it to everyone even though my daughter had lemonade in her cup, then didn't apologize when we told them. The shrimp in the fried rice was undercooked and when I told them they said it was safe to eat?! Then when I asked if they could cook it longer they brought it back and said here you go extra cooked shrimp. The lomo saltado was pure vinegar. The waiter could tell we weren't satisfied because he said oh your mom doesn't look happy and didn't even ask if he could fix it. It was my elderly mothers birthday and they brought her a chocolate ice cream with rainbow sprinkles for a 75 year old. Ate at another Peruvian restaurant the night before here in downtown and 100 times better.

Not only was the food amazing but the service was superb as well. I wouldn't change a thing we had to celebrate our first trip since being married... a pre-honeymoon if you will. We both had wonderful cocktails. I had to go with a Guava Pisco Sour, while my husband went for the one with mezcal. Too smoky for me, but it's just not my thing. For an app, we had the ceviche mixto followed by the fish special of yellowtail snapper. It was definitely a meal for two. Perfectly cooked and so well executed. We capped off the night with wine and Peruvian beer (Cuzquena)...which I haven't found anywhere else in the US. If you enjoy Peruvian cuisine, it's a worth a date night.

La Mar has some of the best Peruvian food in Miami and a beautiful view, I loved eating with the Brickell skyline in front of me.The Guava Pisco Sour was perfectly sweet and fresh. The Anticucho de Corazon, this was my first time trying veal heart and I have to say it was tasty. I loved the corn & baby potatoes paired with it. The entrees were both absolutely amazing, the Chaufa Aeropuerto was meaty and crunchy from the hot stone bowl it's served in. The Achupado was creamy and fishy, it was one of the best seafood pastas I've ever had. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite between these two they were both dishes I would absolutely order again! The Lucama and Chocolate dessert was the perfect finish to our meal. The atmosphere and views from this restaurant are immaculate, La Mar is a must try in Brickell but make sure to make a reservation.

Delicious selection and a lovely atmosphere! Try to get a seat outside - it can't be beat. As far as I can tell you can't go wrong with the menu with the Peruvian items. We got the ceviches with calamari and octopus ceviche - tasty and great to start. The lomo saltado tasted pretty traditional but was well executed and the rice was good. I super enjoyed my Pisco sour with passion fruit! The non Peruvian items are a skip for me - the tuna roll and the chocolate cake were both fine but nothing to write home about. I think I prefer the food at CVI.CHE 105 at the price point, but prefer the cocktails here and the view cannot be beat!

Very excited to try this place because I'm a huge fan of Gaston acurio's restaurants and let's say I wasn't let down. The view is speculator, very romantic and scenic. Now the dishes were just delicious. We ordered the ceviche, the arroz con marisco and el Achupado. My favorite was the Achupado it's a pasta with seafood with a Peruvian twist.I would also recommend trying their cocktail Lima limón Side note: if you are every in Peru go to all his restaurants including La Mar they are to die for.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
