One of the best restaurants in Miami hands down- way better than most other "top restaurants" in the areaFirst, wine selection is excellentThe gnocco fritto is these fluffy wonderful bread rolls that are almost like a beignet without the powdered sugar. We also had this eggplant dip (on the house bc we had to wait 20 minutes even with reservation) and it was outstanding We had some bambino martinis (also on the house for our wait) that were only $10 and great martini mixesThe lasagna was ordered by 2 people at our table and both loved it. One of the best things they'd ever had, rich, lots of short rib on top, with a creamy cheese.The tagliolini Al funghi was incredible, rich, Parmesan cream sauce cooked perfectly with mushroomsThe pasta pomodoro is a classic and extremely well balancedThe espresso martinis were outstanding and made with nitro which was an interesting kickAnd the bread pudding and tiramisu were also excellent5/5 would recommendplus they had great music (90s hip hop and r&b mixes) so ambiance was premium, very chill inviting atmosphere

Our first course of chicken polenta was good. After that it was downhill. The two pastas were extremely underwhelming. No flavor. No spark. Fell super flat. Not to mention we were up sold a $45 add on to the cacio Pepe of black truffle. Black truffle is mild but this was super mild, had no smell. And the server suggesting to add it to cacio Pepe was a mistake. The only flavor that came through was the cracked black pepper. We also got the macchialina cavatelli. If you love Italian food and know a good meal, you'll be disappointed. If you have no other restaurants to go and looking for a mediocre meal with a cute vibe, this is what you're looking for. Otherwise, overhyped and not worth it. We also had a weird experience in the beginning where a candle flew off the wall and broke on our table. The staff was super nice and apologized with giving us a bowl of quinoa. They didn't have to do that at all but I personally thought a bowl of quinoa was an odd 'I'm sorry' choice.

Open for many years on Alton Road near 8th Street, Macchialina’s has consistently very good food. As usual, it was packed full on a recent Saturday night (Note: parking is very difficult in this part of Miami Beach, and outdoor seating has limited “cover” which left us with wet seats and occasional overhead drizzle). The menu frequently changes (Note: on this visit, the menu was lacking some of our favorites: eggplant parmigiana; gnocchi with tomato sauce & shrimp, etc); we enjoyed: Bread course - tasty rustic bread Cocktails - Margarita (very good); Rye Manhattan (somewhat harsh) Mushroom pasta - very good Lobster pasta Fra daviolo - spicy; delicious! Bread pudding (chocolate/ banana) - very good along with ricotta ice cream (unusual) While disappointed with wet seating, somewhat confused service, and menu absence of some of our favorite choices, we still had a fine meal and will definitely return!

Went to Macchialina for dinner with friends and I ordered their lasagna. Even though it wasn't a typical lasagna since there was no red sauce and it seemed constructed rather than baked together, it was delicious. The short rib meat had so much flavor and the dairy filling was so creamy and rich. The pasta was so soft and it blended in with the other components. The lasagna was placed over a flavorful and meaty sauce / gravy which I finished every last drop of. The dish itself was small so I really took my time and savored every bite. Honestly, one of the best things that I've ordered at a restaurant. The outdoor seating for the restaurant is also gorgeous and has a nice ambiance. Intimate but social, a great place to get dinner with a partner, family, or friends. The only thing to note is that their pastas are a bit on the smaller end in terms of size so I would recommend ordering some anti pasta to supplement.

Cool Vibes. Went here based on reviews and ratings. Had to wait at 930ish on a Monday night, bar was full as was restaurant. Hostess seemed nice and responsive. Service was good once I got seated. Food was pretty good. Had the fresh bread rolls but was surprised that they came with out any dip, butter, or even olive oil. Had the cacio e pepe, was pretty good, not blow away. Cocktails were done right, very tasty and inventive. Annoyed that they charged for gratuity and then hand you bill with suggestions for gratuity, seems like a grift for tourists but also seems like it’s common practice all over Miami. Would return if in SoBe.

Wait AMAZING! The service.....not so much. The place is Very busy. I get it. When you show up a little bit before your reservation, getting a drink while waiting is impossible. The bartender is too busy making drinks for tables to offer to help( not his fault). There are multiple people trying to get a drink while waiting on a table(reservations or not). When we are seated we are greeted wholeheartedly. Our server however becomes enthralled with many other tables and eventually someone else recused themselves to take our order. We code the chefs voice with wine pairing. Each course was incredible. I LOVED every one. Our server appeared a few times but seemed overwhelmed by the other tables he was tending to. The food was VERY good. The service was almost OK. $320.....,,,,I'm not sure it is worth the price...,

After chatting with the manager she told us she would take care of the drinks we ordered from the bar because the table was not available. At 10:45 we were sat...after noticing they had an outdoor area. While trying to order appetizers, the server said "to not overwhelm our kitchen (and we have all worked in the service industry) so everything needs to be ordered at the same time (apps and dinner). I'm sorry we already waited...that was it for us party of 8 we walked out.

Chef Michael Pirolo has fashioned a vibrant trattoria in Miami Beach's bustling South Beach neighborhood by presenting rustic Italian recipes and hand-made pasta in a stylish, brick-walled setting. Located at 820 Alton Road, it is open from 6 to 11 Monday through Thursday and 5 to 11 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. My half-Italian wife and I always are looking for good Italian restaurants while traveling throughout the country. We love to compare spaghetti and meatballs, meat ravioli, lasagna, Osso Bucco and any veal dish. Not to mention minestrone, tiramisu and cannoli. Macchialina checks all the boxes. And it gets an added plus with Branzino on the menu. My wife and started with salami, prosciutto and cheese with puffed bread. For an entree, my wife chose veal parmigiana with mozzarella, oven dried tomatoes and parmigiano with potatoes and broccoli. I always order Branzino when it's on the menu. We were introduced at an Italian restaurant in Sarasota, Florida, in 2018, a meaty and tasty Mediterranean sea bass a la Lake Superior whitefish. I've been hooked ever since. Pirolo's version included crushed potatoes, artichoke and tomatoes with a side of meatballs. Delicious. For dessert, we shared a huge helping of bread pudding with Sullivan Street brioche, bananas, hazelnut crumble and bitter chocolate. If you are looking for a creative Italian restaurant in Miami, this is the place.

Had dinner here last week and overall had a good experience with our group of 8. The garden is beautiful and I highly suggest sitting outside if the weather is nice. Service is great and friendly. Food itself is pretty good overall: we had cacio de pepe, lobster with pasta, branzino, lasagna, and there was another seafood dish I can't remember. Additionally, we had several desserts (I didn't partake so can't comment on those). There were a few issues with the food including the lobster being chewy, and one of the pastas being overly salty. Additionally, we didn't get any bread which I thought was odd for an Italian restaurant. Prices are also pretty substantial so be prepared for that.

Neat cozy atmosphere with inside and outside dining areas. My wife and I like pasta dishes, especially the gnocchi and lasagna. We wash it down with a red wine. We only come here on weekdays and get here early for dinner. Parking can be a challenge. Usually we have to do some walking, but it's worth the effort. Very tasty food. Excellent service.

Located in an inconspicuous strip mall setting (on Alton Road near 8th Street on Miami Beach), Macchialina’s has the feel of a small Italian trattoria with REALLY GOOD ITALIAN FOOD! All tables were full on recent December Saturday night (reservations are a “must”), and enjoyed the following items: Good cocktails (a Margarita, a a Scotch “Nona’s” whiskey sour Gnocchi with shrimp in a tomato sauce - MUST TRY exceptionally delicious!! We split this as an appetizer course - - light-as-clouds gnocchi (lightened w/ ricotta cheese) - yum!! Eggplant parmesan - delicious Veal parmesan - delicious (& sizable!) entree Tiramisu - good All-in-all homemade fresh delicious Italian food. We’re certain to return (& hopefully soon!).

Food was fantastic. I order bolognese just about every time I eat at an Italian restaurant and this was the best I have ever had. Worked out well that 3 of 4 people at our table also got it. DH had the pasta with chanterelles and also said it was delicious. Wines were a bit on the pricy side but everything we had was good. Service fee is included in the bill so just be aware. We sat outside and the the patio was really beautiful.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
