Went to Novikov to celebrate my best friends birthday. Had the lunch set menu . Lady at the desk looked at us as if we shouldn't be there . She was so rude , even though she looked like a cartoon character herself. Waiters were friendly, 1st course was great , but my main was extremely salty , they changed it but the replacement was just as bad . I was too embarrassed to send it back again so ate it . As we were leaving the receptionist had to get are coats and made a face holding my friends coat as it was not branded . She was making a face and barely touching it . I went home and vomited all evening. Wrote an email to the Italian restaurant in Novikov but never recieved acknowledgement or a response. Any class of person working to billionaire pay the same amount for the food so why were we made to feel like we didn't belong there

The food was terrible sea food pizza that was somehow overcooked and soggy, The linguini was drenched in cheese and the service was very slow zero value for money.

Kinda cool upmarket place where I felt rather too old and under dressed! We didn’t eat we just cruised by for a drink and got there just before the mad crowds as most tables downstairs were reserved (Saturday night)

We were fed non-halal version of steak!

Please be extra vigilant if you eat halal meat and double check you have received the correct dish before touching your food. We ordered the halal steak and we’re given the A5 Japanese Wagyu instead which is not halal, we didn’t realise this until we had paid our bill and looked at it at the end. We noticed that the steak was not correct on the bill and asked the waiters to double check we had been served the correct item. After a while the manager came back and told us that unfortunately they had messed up and given us the wrong piece of steak that wasn’t halal. We specified at the time of ordering that we only eat halal to the waiter but it seems that he had keyed in the wrong item on their till. We should have checked this but being in such a high class restaurant you would not expect them to make such a grave error, we were offered a refund of half of our bill and nothing else could be done apparently. We won’t be returning as we felt very sick after this experience but if you decide to go just be careful and double check you have the correct items of food.

Over priced, too crowded, too fast but staff friendly & nice food. Place is very large, staff are very polite and welcoming. It had a nice busy vibe but I dont get the style. I wouldnt say it felt luxurious, you are rushed to order although staff are very polite. The food was nice but doesnt warrant the price tag. If your happy for the price tag which is well into hundreds (easily) per head for 3 courses and drinks to say you have been to Novikov then this is your place, but feels like they cart you in and then cart you out. I'd rather spend the money and go elsewhere that treats you like a guest.

Always fabulous. The salmon sushi with the hot cheese sauce on top is the one. Highly recommend this restaurant for their sushi, the dim sum and their delicious meat in the pan Asian section. Can’t wait to go back.

I have eaten at novikov before many times, it’s a pretentious restaurant which banks on the fact that people go to it because it portrays a certain image. Staff have got way too used to that and treat people badly as if it is an exclusive place to be when all you want to do is just eat food. I tried to make an order for takeaway and was told it cannot be taken over the phone so to come to the restaurant . I arrived at the restaurant I was stopped by two dummy men outside and asked if I had a reservation. I told them that I had spoken to somebody over the phone and they advised me to come to the restaurant and order directly. Man went in and spoke to the person I had spoken to and they advised it’s not possible however the person who told me to come to the restaurant remained inside inconsiderately wasting my time and rejecting money that I am willing to pay for the overpriced average food. They could have just said over the phone that they don’t do takeaway and saved a trip instead decided To waste our time for no reason and leave us at the door like fools without the consideration of even saying it to us. Restaurants have become way too comfortable average and overpricing the food for the fact that people go on Instagram and take pictures there but they should never forget during lockdown I’m pretty sure the same people were not purchasing that food.staff are overly rude even when you eat there they are constantly rushing you and hovering over you. What a shame arrogance has affected them so much.

High expectations when we arrived at the restaurant , but the service was not up to the high standards we expected…. Several food items all came out at different times. We have chased the server several times and the response was it’s coming. These where very basic items we was waiting on. We will not be retuning due to the cost and poor service.

i have been fortunate enough to go to novikov a few times and each time it was memorable. the food is great the service was what you would expect for this sort of place, good fun and a great place for a expensive but well worth visit.

Absolutely awful. Our starters and mains were absolutely foul. The dessert was ok, but nothing special. Service was non-existent. And to top it all off, it’s incredibly expensive. It will be the first and last time we come.

Our group didn't all get their food at the same time. They moved our table twice because rhey accidently placed us in the wrong seats and they had a different party coming. We had to ask 3x just to get in cause they kept saying their completely packed when they weren't. When we asked for mojitos they didn't bring it out till we complained. We wanted dessert and asked for a menu 2-3x; we got annoyed after waiting 30min for a dessert me u and asked for the bill. They said sorry, but to be honest for a restaurant to just have bad service when there food isn't even all thag to begin with, I just don't think they deserve to be a 5 start or packed as they are due to them having so much pride and not even being able to have quality food or proper customer service.

The food at this place has always been outstanding. It is also one of the few places that could have a sibling in Dubai without compromising the food. Sadly they do themselves no favours by imagining that acting snooty will impress. I had booked in advance but we had 2 extra guests join us. So it was gracious of them to accommodate us without fuss. We went to the downstairs bar to await our table. A very loud vibe was understandable but why they couldn't do a Bloody Mary, not so much. Once seated, we were harried for water several times by several waiters. Luckily we stood our ground and refused to cave to this upsell tactic that is offensively out of place at Novikov's prices and popularity. So Dubai and so not London (though it is catching up). The maître d' continued the pressure, offering to bring us a selection from the extensive menu. No thanks. If I'd wanted that we'd have chosen a place with set menus. We ordered a wide selection of nigiri, sashimi, ceviche, dumplings, salads, tacos and some steamed fish and wagyu beef for mains. The food was delectable with high quality ingredients and deft presentation. Only the tacos (shells too chunky and fillings a bit bland) and the steamed fish (a bit dry) had any room for improvement. The wagyu sirloin lived up to its label and was reminiscent of the best yaki niku in Tokyo. The Bloody Mary which they could serve at the table, was delicious too. We already booked a table for our next visit and I anticipate delicious food as I wonder what the politest way to counter the pressure is.

Just too overpriced for what they offer. Some of the waiters were OK but some were absolutely horrendous. Especially the gay waiter, so much attitude for someone who depends on tips. Not in line with what the restaurant want to be. Wouldn't recommend

We were here during our romantic weekend getaway. We were treated very warmly. Food was excellent and we may have overeaten and for me worth the price. I must add that the team were excellent very friendly and attentive. They made great menu suggestions and looked after us very well. We look forward to returning.

I feel the ambience could have been better. Though the restaurant was very quiet, it felt a bit dull and dated.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
