Petit Trois le Valley Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
There is nothing to say but ONLY amazing things about this
There is nothing to say but ONLY amazing things about this place. They hire good staff, Tessa is a wonderful sweet bartender! We met the owner today, Ludo, great man whose staff seems to really adore. The food? There is nothing I don't like. Nothing. The beet salad is an absolute must! The mussels are amazing! The meatballs are insanely delicious. Known for their French burger but my God, it's a crime not to at least try everything! lol The quality is (insert chefs kiss)!
My friend and I had a lovely meal here last night.
I tried the trout 5/5 on a previous evening and loved it. My friend ordered the dish and agreed. The steak tartare was fantastic 5/5 and I love the bread that it was served with. I ordered the filet 5/5 and it was heavenly. It was perfectly cooked medium rare and the peppercorn sauce was outstanding...and perfect for dipping the fries into. The peach cobbler was ok. I loved the nuts in it but the rest of the dish was just average. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. He was wonderful in letting us sample a few wines to make sure our meal was perfectly paired. I look forward to going back and introducing others to this gem.
Finally tried petit trois after being on my list for quite
Finally tried petit trois after being on my list for quite some time. Thankfully now I know and will never need to be back. Firstly waiter asks to start us with "bread and olives" to which we said sure. Then saw on the menu that those were appetizers. Whatever, but I wish he had let us choose this rather than mentioning it in a way of an offer. Only because come to the actual appetizers we wanted (French onion soup, steak tartare, escargot) the escargot comes with a whole baguette itself. He got away with selling us a stale tasteless $12 baguette and some $12 olivThis waiter was only good at upselling things and talking rather than actual service, because he happened to place new silverware before cleaning the table he rested them on. He then came and cleaned the dollop of tartare that was on the table but did not wipe any of the baugette crumbs. The dishes we ordered were just ok, nothing extremely impressive or worth coming back for. The highlight of this entire meal was the steak tartare. If you want to try it out go ahead but I would find myself far from here next time I want amazing French.
My third time here.
Each time the service has been really slow and with items missed off the order. I come back because the idea of this restaurant is good. I like the fries, but this time they came on a bed of coarse salt and it's just too much - I salt my fries lots too! The bavette steak frites was very average. I want to love this place but it just disappoints every time.
Ludo has left the building.
I live in Northeast LA and once loved Trois Familia in Silver Lake. I always held the chef in high regard so Petit Trois has long been on my must go list but I rarely get west of Vermont unless for a notable restaurant. In one word.....underwhelming. In more words.....leeks fondant was bland, the trout was very small for the price, the "medium rare" steak was served medium well and the frites were sad, underwhelming nubbins. I rarely complain but I did bring the obviously overdone steak to the manager's attention. She wouldn't acknowledge that the steak was notably hammered but wanted to take it to the cook on duty to make sure gray was gray. She did offer to replace it but said another steak would take a long time. I assumed she was correct given how long they cooked my first steak and I am not one to waste an animal so I told her not to bother. There was no offer to comp the steak or even a glass of wine. The black pepper sauce was delicious and a semi-saving grace for the very dry steak. I assume this place was once great but currently it is overrated, overpriced and overhyped. So much so that we declined dessert and further disappointment and walked over to Mozza to finish our meal/night. I rarely review restaurants but this was sadly by far the most underwhelming meal I have ever had. I wish I was wrong or even embellishing because I wanted to love Petit Trois.
The third star is for the wine.
I had the trout she had the bucatini pasta with pine nuts. We started with the beet salad. All was good. The trout was 2'' x 2''. 3.5 x3.5 would be better. It was also over-crisped on top. The pasta was ok. We also ordered glasses of a French Chardonnay. The best wine I've had in several months. $28 a glass. Chocolate mousse for dessert. Very good. And a napoleon! The menu is limited but highlights popular dishes. Staff attentive. Find street parking as their valet lot is very tight. Park even several blocks away and pretend your walking on Champs-Élysées in Paris then stepping into a cafe. They do have an inviting bar should you wish to stop in alone and order some French wine, burgandy escargots and a baguette with bordier butter. Their wine list is outstanding, many by the glass. The food here is to accompany the wine, not the other way around.
If you know you know Very viby atmosphere perfect for S.
O. Such a fabulous dinner starting with French Onion soup which was the best I have ever had Next the tuna tartare with large luscious chunks of tuna Amazing take on trout almondine ...service was great Cant say enough good about this place but cant wait to go back I can only imagine the few bad reviews are people with grudges for some reason but dont waste time - come and enjoy a great meal
Having been to the Petit Trois in Hollywood for dinner, I
Having been to the Petit Trois in Hollywood for dinner, I hoped the lunch experience in Petit Trois Sherman Oaks would have been redeeming. Sadly, it was not. The best part of our meal was the pate. The rich, thick spread of chicken liver mousse over crispy bread with caramelized onions tasted amazing and it took me back to Europe. We then ordered a salad and beef bourgignon but it was soo salty and greasy. The beauty of this dish is the fork tenderness of the meat, but half of it was too hard to chew. It would've been nice to have some starter bread without us asking, but we didn't get any. Cute place with a nice open kitchen concept, and it's definitely larger than the Hollywood location. Valet is $15 and street parking is almost non-existent. Not sure I'll be back for the food!

An absolute yum! Recently went there and had the famous burger and yes it was well worth it! The staff are very friendly, the food is amazing and the decor is so pretty!
I got the pesto pasta and loved it.
The dish could not be better. The service was high-speed but not at the cost of the quality of the food. If you're a vegetarian, you should order the pesto pasta. I want to go back to try the French onion soup. I'm also curious about the Big Mec. Do folks like it? One thing I would change, and this is sort of nit-picky, is that I would prefer if the restaurant didn't put the utensils directly on the table. It would be nice if they were in a napkin or on a plate.

Love love love the ambience here, it's intimate and tastefully decorated. I tried the duck here and honestly think about it a lot. The presentation was beautiful and the sauces/cream it was served with complemented the meat very well. Service was also great and no complaints here.
There's not one thing in this restaurant that is just OK
There's not one thing in this restaurant that is just OK everything is AMAAAAAZING! I ordered basically everything in the menu cause we were celebrating my wife and I'm gonna tell you you'll never go wrong with this place
Great Hostess seating us, great food! 5 Stars for that.
However the passive-aggressive, over the top behavior of our waiter was "absolument au-delà de toute croyance" (absolutely beyond belief). We were seated with menus and then ignored for 10 minutes, when we decided maybe food isn't happening we shifted in our seats to depart at which point our waiter came over. But this went on throughout the whole meal.. it was like being stuck in the Twilight zone episode where William Shatner can't seem to leave the diner. We got to know our salads so well that we wanted to give them names...eventually we managed to get the waiter's attention as he whizzed by our table, and he said 'oh, are you ready for your next course?.. I will ask the kitchen to PREPARE it...our meal took 2 hours! I gave up on dessert. We still left a nice gratuity and then our waiter thanked us and hoped we had a good time... when we said thank you he actually said exactly the same thing again like a recorded message, but the second time frowned as if 'now get out of here'. If you want to witness textbook passive aggression this is the spot for you.. the food will be good, but you will be stuck in the diner.
So I attended this restaurant shortly after they opened.
The decor of this restaurant is very nice and after placing an order for a bottle of wine the Sal came over and had to go through several because they were out of many of their listed French wines. The service was excellent & the food was good but not great for the prices. It was an overall good experience, however like I mentioned previously very pricey.
The atmosphere is straight out of France - a beautiful old
The atmosphere is straight out of France - a beautiful old world brassiere. Heavy table linens, lovely stemware and flatware. The servers were a perfect mix of warm, friendly, and professional. Their uniforms underscored this image - down to long aprons. Food service was flawless, as was the taste of everything we ordered. I had the opportunity to speak with the charming owner/ chef about the endive salad, praising the dressing. I asked him about the source of the olive oil, and he unhesitatingly showed me the bottle. The food. How can a ham and cheese sandwich and salad be so memorable?! No really. It was THAT good. Just the right amount of French ham and butter on a crispy baguette. All of the ingredients had a place to shine. The fries were hot, crispy, and lightly salted. But the salad... oh that salad. Fresh juicy endive, with a pool of an incredible vinaigrette and chopped toasted hazelnuts. I don't usually care for hazelnuts , but I practically licked the plate clean. My daughter ordered the croque madam and although it was a very rich, generous portion, she almost licked the plate. The béchamel was delightfully creamy. A most memorable lunch... months later, I still cannot stop thinking about it. Esp since we were too full to order dessert last time. This place is off the charts. I will be back!
Authentic French cuisine with a great fun ambiance highly
Authentic French cuisine with a great fun ambiance highly recommend checking it out !!!
Sooo good went for brunch twice.
Will be back for the omelette and salad. Cant wait to try more
Service was good and food was good not great.
Steak from my frites was 4 pieces and one was a very small end piece. NOT worth the money. Wasn't very flavorful and fries were very oily, not salty, lacked flavor, and tasted very much like a bad oil or butter that was very bad in flavor. Boston lettuce was pretty bland and had some black spots and a big. Clearly wasn't washed well. Very salad was enjoyable. Best thing is the pasta on the lunch menu. Amazing pesto. Best I've had in LA. Wish it was a bit larger of a portion. Bread and pasta were amazing. Wouldn't come here again unless it was just appetizers and that pasta.
Sacre Bleu, à prix élevé
Not as good as it should be! Baguette with a little butter....nice....but $10.00/£8.00 for a baguette! Lovely French Onion soup $25.00/£20.00 for soup...really! $75.00/£60.00 for 2 burgers! Yeh in fairness they are worth it they are absolutely amazing!!! The most salted fries in the world they burnt your tongue. However they recognised that and gave us 2 free desserts! Sharp, sharp lemon dessert after so much salt made for an interesting experience, but we all laughed it off. Nice staff behind the bar and the manager but I feel the owner could make the staff feel more appreciated, something we picked up on, not anything said, whatsoever. Good but should be great better for $320.00 for 1 baguette, 1 soup and 2 burgers, plus some drinks.
Pas Si Bien
Disappointing lunch. The cold ham and cheese sandwich is 23 dollars and the hot one is 29. Seriously.. and it is a soggy piece of bread with melted cheese soup. they do dress both of those up with a Fancy French name and did i mention it is a half sandwich not even a full one. Our server was totally off his game. He brought us flat water when we ordered sparkling and kept calling me friend like he knew me. I wonder if the owner ever eats here?
Birthday Dinner
At the corner of Ventura and Woodman. Upscale restaurant. There for birthday dinner. Big Mec delicious. Yummy burger. Enough for 2 people. Steak Frites very good. Attentive servers.
Trave to Paris without the travel . Delicieux!
If you are missing Partis and need your fix, this Parisian Brasserie recreation will hit the spot. the food is excellent and the decor, Paris transported state side. You want steak frites? Its perfect. Creme brulee? Aussi. Treat yourself and go to Studio City instead of taking a nine hour flight.
Good for dinner
Great service and good food. We enjoyed our dinner here and left very full because portions are significant, and we couldn't say no to dessert! He had French onion soup, and I had the broccoli soup. I had the pistou pasta. He had the pork chop. We shared the napoleon for dessert. All was tasty!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
