I wanted to bring to your attention how terrible my experience went on Friday, 24th June. I had booked for a table for two at 10.00pm. Staff was not accommodating. I had booked for the 1st floor. Was taken to 2nd floor. Was not relocated even after multiple requests. It was my wnnivaresary. The service at 2nd floor was very good. The food (I ordered prawns with salsa verde, and tacos) was extremely bland. No taste, no flavour, seasoning nothing. The tacos were terrible. I was expecting much better. I also only booked because I was told there was a La Dolce Vita Capri Night on Friday. I was so disappointed as the website for Sumosan Twiga incorrectly had written how the Capri night would have decor, Vespas, lemon trees and what not. It was just another normal night with no Capri night feels, only a DJ who played good music. If I had known that, I would’ve never booked for Sumosan. Terrible experience overall.

Very bad experience! They are very rude. I'm from Los Angeles and I was expecting a nice experience but I got the opposite. They were rude from the start. After spending hundreds of pounds I was asked to leave for another reservation I was there under the two hour max. The women at the front desk needs to be fired I asked to speak with a manager and she pretended to be management. The manager was not helpful at all. I would not recommend going here you might be asked to leave for another reservation and only for the food to be bad. Everyone was rude and the food was horrible!!!!!!

Brunch Review

Brunch. I go to a lot of brunches and was excited to see what the Sumosan 4 hour brunch had to offer. The atmosphere was good but it took a long time to get drinks and a couple of the waiters weren’t that pleasant to deal with. Food: The sushi was lovely and the steak was quite nice although quite fatty. The fruit bowl dessert was tasty and a bit different to the usual dessert you’d choose. Overall, For £150 I did expect better service and not have to chase for drinks. Also, after 3:30 weren’t able to order another drink as the bar was closed. That was frustrating as it meant our last drink had been at 3, and not exactly the 4 hour experience we had been promised. But it was fun.

Went for brunch with some friends. Food was really good. It was really quite loud to hear friends on the table and have conversations. Our table waiter Christopher was really good. He was very accommodating with one of my friends who was pregnant.

A group of us went to Sumosan Twiga. We went to the bottomless brunch. It was £150 per person. Half of us didn’t get our food as it was all out at one end of the table. No body asked us whether we wanted steak, pasta, fish it was just dumped on out table. After 2 hours of bottomless champagne it changed to 2 hours of of bottomless cocktails/wine/spirits and in that time we got just one drink and out other drinks never came. The service was shocking. When we complained one of the waiters made of of the members of our party cry as they were that rude to them. By our experience, £150 will get you 4 glasses of champagne, a few mouthfuls of sushi, only half the table to receive a main and 1 cocktail and some which will never arrive. To summarise it felt as though the business model is to get everyone drunk on champagne and hope they don’t mind not having their mains or the cocktails they have paid for.

A really wonderful venue with delicious drinks, some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten and a fantastic ambience. During my most recent visit there was a brilliant female DJ and the time before a live saxophonist and magician. All of the staff are super attentive, going above and beyond to ensure you have a lovely evening. The decor is sexy and glamorous. I would definitely recommend this venue and will be returning as soon as possible. In addition I would like to mention Lara Harris, their corporate sales director. She exudes confidence and energy, with an in-depth knowledge of the industry. Lara was so welcoming and touched base a number of times to check we were enjoying our evening. She is an asset to the company. Thank you for having us Twiga, a great evening.

My experience in Sumosan Twiga was unforgettable from the beginning till the end!! All the staff was very welcoming and friendly, the food super delicious both the italian and the japanese sides and the athmospere was very vibrant with the dj and everyone dancing. I really can't wait to go back next month!!!

Worst I’ve ever experienced

We had a large group booking of 18 people for a surprise birthday. They held us for an hour past our booking time downstairs and then when we got to the table they only plated for 12 and expected us to squeeze in. Eventually we got another table put on the end but that still didn’t give us enough space. We then received very little attention, barely could order drinks, they didn’t clear the table between courses - it was a disgrace. Then they expect you to pay premium prices for some mini sushi rolls and a bowl of spaghetti plus service charge. This place is a joke.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
