Teppan Edo Orlando - Buy Reservations

Before I begin this review I would like to say that I am a connoisseur of hibachi and sushi. And this has got to be one of the most crappy hibachi experiences I've ever had. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and we were seated at the correct time. However from the point that we sat down to the point of eating we waited about an hour. Our waiter was a young man and he looked and acted lost. I hardly saw him and by the time he took our orders we waited another 20 to 30 minutes before we even got our appetizers. I thought this whole dining experience would end within an hour but it took us almost 2 hours to finally eat, after park closing, causing us to miss the monorail and have to take an Uber back to our hotel. The food itself was very lackluster. And like the other reviews I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but there was no seasoning. The chef used salt and pepper and soy sauce and that was about it and I still really couldn't taste those. There was also a party that was seated after us and our hibachi chef was accidentally sent to their table instead of ours so we had to wait even longer. My husband and I had high hopes to have an amazing dining experience because of reviews we've seen and recommendations but sadly we were extremely disappointed. We were celebrating our anniversary and the only reason I didn't leave one star was because they did give us a 10% off of our total bill and a free ice cream. Still for over a $250 dinner you would think you would have the experience of a lifetime and I was severely disappointed. Don't know if anyone wants to waste their time. We had this reservation weeks in advance. Also instead of fried rice they used to udon noodles here which was very interesting. Anyways eat here or don't, I don't think it was worth it.

THIS IS NOT COMPARABLE TO BENIHANA!!! Reservation was for 8pm. We did not sit down till 815pm. Once we sat down, our server took our drink and appetizer orders. We did not see him again for almost 30mins. Once we asked what was going on, he said that our chef got sent to another table by accident and we would still have to wait. The chef didn't start cooking for our table until 910 or so. Rating the food:As I said before, this is not Benihana. I ended up ordering the steak/shrimp combo, miso soup and a California roll. The California roll was not the best, but it is just fake crab so idk. The miso soup was good, but it's miso soup, you can't mess that up. When it came to the main course, more disappointment. They don't serve fried rice, they serve udon noodles. Let me tell you, it was not good. Everything was just not seasoned as they do in most hibachi restaurants.All in all, as much as people talk about how great this restaurant is, and how it's a must do at Disney World. Don't waste your time. For the 285 dollars I spent here, I'd much rather go to McDonald's where I know my order will be flavorful and come on time. Lastly, the only reason I'm not giving it a 1 star is because it was my honeymoon and they brought us free ice cream LOL.

We showed up about 15 minutes early for our 1:30 reservation and were actually seated around 1:25. All of the staff we dealt with was very polite and hospitable. They brought out a refill on my iced green tea (which was clearly high quality and brewed properly) before I was even close to finishing the first glass.Our chef was very entertaining in an endearing way. The show itself wasn't super long but the "tricks" he did were a little different from the usual - he made a Mickey face out of onions with the nose as the volcano and let us try to guess what he was making while he cut and sorted the onion pieces.The food was delicious and filling. To start, the dressing on the starter salad was amazing. I had the Yasai (vegetables and tofu) entrée, which came with the standard vegetable and noodle fry plus red bell peppers, shiitake, asparagus, and tofu. The asparagus and tofu were my favourites, but all were really good on their own or dipped in one of the two side sauces. I also tried one of the scallops, and it had a great flavour and texture. Even the steamed rice was perfect.I had the Matcha Tiramisu for dessert and had a taste of the Chocolate Ginger Cake. The tiramisu was not quite what I was expecting - the Japanese style meant a thick matcha mousse topped with a piece of sponge cake instead of layers, but I really liked it! It looked small but the box was actually deceptively large. The matcha flavour was nice and strong and I liked the light but rich in flavour cake.

Wow! Such good food and great atmosphere. The waiter and hibachi chef were fantastic. So full and refreshex! Definitely great place for our family to have a nice supper.

They rush you through your experience and give you the check before you are even finished with your meal. The chicken was chewy and tough. The waitress took my daughter's plate which was full and stacked dirty dishes on it without even asking her if she was done. I complained and they took the meal off, but charged for her soda 5.00 and the full tip. Never again!

We're Disney veterans but have never eaten here until our most recent visit, reservations are a must and we got lucky at the last minute using the app. Aside from the great food is the chance to be in a smaller crowd of people while eating. After hours of being packed together in lines and rides, this gives you a chance to sit and relax a bit while enjoying the meal. The meal is huge, best for the end of the day, or as you're leaving the park otherwise you're just too full to do much walking.

I have dined at Teppan Edo on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The hibachi-cooked meals are delicious and prepared by very entertaining Japanese chefs. On this visit, my wife and I introduced my daughter's family to a wonderful Japanese restaurant located at WDW. Dining here is not inexpensive, however the quality of the meal along with the entertainment provided by the chef provides a very unique dining experience. Overall, a combined great dining and entertainment value. I recommend you give it a try - you will not be disappointed.

This is located above the shop in the Japan section of EPCOT. I normally go to the small restaurant in this section of the park but, for a special occasion, decided to try this restaurant. What a delight. It has a grand staircase about 40 feet across that leads to a double door that is the restaurant entrance. Up a short flight of stairs to the hostess station. The inside foyer is beautiful and set in a Japanese motif. I did not have a reservation but with a small party I was seated in less than 10 minutes. There are about 6 large rooms with 4 tables in each room. Each table seats 8 people in the standard U-shaped arrangement with the cook in the center. The menu is obtained by a qr code on the table. The lunch entrees cost between $26 and $44. I ordered the Hibachi chicken. The waitress was very helpful but a little difficult to hear due to the masks and accent. The chef was from Kyoto and was very friendly. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. The only real drawback was the spacing of the tables did not leave much room between the tables or the table and the wall. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend it for your special occasion. Enjoy.

Our family of four got a late evening reservation at Teppan Edo to celebrate Valentines Day. As you round the corner from the main door, there is a long hallway off of which were perhaps 8 to 10 smaller rooms of four hibachi tables each. Our table was literally in the last room of the place and on our way there we overheard several groups having a great time. The online menu has the usual Japanese Steakhouse options. What I found missing was a fried rice option (white rice only) , a starter soup not being included and no fire. We started with a couple Sapporo beers and a white wine. For appetizers, we had a spicy roll that was delicious. Our table mates got a volcano roll which was cooked in front of them with a spicy sauce. I'd like to try that next time. I ordered a steak and shrimp combo but didn't upgrade for $10 more to a filet. My daughter got the filet upgrade with her shrimp and not only was it tastier but it looked to be a slightly bigger portion. Despite not upgrading, I really enjoyed my meal. It was expertly prepared by our chef who had been working there for over 20 years. He had all the tricks and was very funny. We would return here anytime. Everything was well done and the family had an awesome time.

Incredible unique upscale hibachi experience that is different than your average hibachi grill. They infused fun chef tricks that are disney themed while keeping the typical tricks that you expect to see at hibachi. Reservations were greeted and seated promptly for lunch without any wait. The server and the chef were very friendly, professional, and entertaining. The volcano roll was incredible! It is a must for an appetizer or light lunch. They sear the scallop and shrimp and the grill in front of you and then chop them up, warm the sauce in the grill, sear the sushi (which was quite unique as I've never seen that done before but make a nice texture and unique presentation) and then poured the sauce on top like lava. The sauce was incredible by itself that they said was some sort of blend of chili and yum yum sauce I believe. I ended up getting some for my main hibachi meal. The portions were very generous and the chef even gave me a full portion of chicken even though I had gotten chicken and shrimp. The food was all cooked with minimal seasoning and I do not believe MSG was used. It is not as salty as your typical hibachi meal which was refreshing. The ginger salad was mixed greens with a fresh tasting ginger dressing. All meals are served with a side of white rice and not fried rice like your average hibachi restaurants. I learned that this is because it is a Chinese infusion to add the fried rice and not typical Japanese. Great experience! I would definitely go back.

It's a really fun and entertaining restaurant to dine at. Conceptually, it's pretty much the same as Benihana. The difference being that service is a lot better and the interior is a lot cleaner.I got the steak and shrimp combination. The seasonings are fairly simple consisting mostly of salt, pepper and butter but the quality of the food is high and is very tasty. Our chef, Shido was extremely polite, professional and very entertaining. The tricks they do while cooking is pretty much the same as Benihana with the volcano onion and train, etc. I did appreciate how they incorporate the Disney aspect into it, instead of making a heart shape with the fried rice they made a Mickey head.

We were pleasantly surprised! We usually love Teppan grill restaurants but were hesitant on coming here at first because they didn't have fried rice (one of the foods we love the most from these types of restaurants). HOWEVER, this restaurant had amazing food! We decided to try it anyways since there are other things we liked and we were so happy we went! In fact, it was so good that we decided to book it again! The servers and chefs were amazing and super talented! We will definitely be back! Thank you especially to Yakuri, Tomo, and Kenta!

We booked a lunch reservation for our Epcot visit for my sons 16th birthday. *PROS: We were seated on time and the mobile check in was very easy and fast. The restaurant is clean and staff is friendly. The chef is personable and does cute Mickey silhouettes for the smaller kids and smoking volcano as a part of the show. *CONS: The food was good portion sized but very bland, lack of flavor. They do not offer friend rice, only white rice. And even though I put it was my sons birthday, they never acknowledged it. The price is high (as expected because it's Disney) plates average at about $50-$60 a plate. Overall, I recommend this restaurant for the experience if you've never been to a Benihana type restaurant.
