Beautiful setting and delicious food, served tapas style. Everything was outstanding. I would still under order until the food comes because it does add up quickly! Everything is delicious and well presented. Don't be nervous about trying something new. Staff is very attentive. Can be noisy with the high ceilings and reverberations on the multiple vertical surfaces. Consider placement within a group if you have any hearing issues.

This is the first time I ever had food from here delivered. I normally eat at the restaurant itself and have always enjoyed my meal on site. The food coming through DoorDash did not disappoint. The food did not suffer because of the packaging or transit. It was still as flavorful as on site and the plating was just as nice. The only difference is the temperature of the food is a little cooler than on site but that is to be expected with any delivered food and not a fault of zatinya or DoorDash. My wife and I were both very happy with our appetizers and entrees.

I used to go here often for after work happy hours and work events. My company had a holiday party here. I’m a fan of all the humanitarian work that Chef Andres is doing around the world. The interior seems a bit outdated and needs a refresh. It’s a beautiful space with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. The menu could also use a refresh. I do enjoy their seafood, like the octopus and branzino.

Really good food, but what was the best part was our amazing server Hairul. He was really cool and smoothed things over so well to make sure we were happy and was very pleasant. People like him make me glad to go out and eat and support establishments such as these. I want to wish him a very Happy Birthday and can't wait to come back with my Family!

Trying this type of food was new to me so I was skeptical at first. But let me tell you, everything was cooked perfectly and extremely flavorful. This is now one of my favorite restaurants. Please remember they take reservations only. Also if outside seating is only open, please know they have a bunch of outdoor heaters which make sitting outside bearable due to the cold weather. They also have a plastic barrier thing up to block the wind. I had to sit outside and it really wasn't too bad. Dont be scared to ask the server to turn the heat up more. The service was fantastic and everything else on point.

Even if you're not a foodie, or don't even really know what Mediterranean food is, you'll probably find many dishes that you'll like here. Plus, dishes are served small plate style, so it is easy to explore new options. We had vegan and vegetarian restrictions in our group and found plenty of options on the menu, as well. Ultimately we decided on the $79 chef's tasting menu, which could be customized to accommodate our diets. My personal favorites were a cheese and date dish, along with roasted cauliflower with a type of mint tahini sauce. The yogurt and mango parfait at the end, which I ordered with some Turkish coffee, was the perfect light end to our meal. We had excellent service from all the wait staff, were promptly seated, and had great recommendations made by our head waiter, who knew the menu very well. Compared to other restaurants in this group, the ambiance was slightly more upscale and hip. The food itself was classic Jose Andres style: beautiful, seasonal ingredients that are simply but artfully prepared without being pretentious.

We went with some friends on a Saturday evening and the place was hopping. It was a very fun atmosphere. The drinks were all excellent. We ordered 8-10 small plates to share for four people and each was better than the next. The mushrooms were the real stars. Desserts were also quite good--walnut dessert was tops. Service was wonderful--well-paced.

My wife and I have been to various celebrity chef places before, to include Jose's popup at the National Gallery a long time ago, and we love his food, books, and programs. But this fell short. We both had the Valentine's Day tasting menu and a bottle of wine, but the food seemed to be a bit off themed, with one dish being very Scandinavian, and others just being a bit off. Service was confused-- the bottle arrived with our second course, and dishes were whisked away, or at least attempted to be taken, while we were still working on them. I hope this was just an off day or a failed special menu, but I'm not going back to find out. Dinner for two and a mid-range bottle was nearly $350, it really wasn't worth it compared to other venues in the city.

Greeted by friendly staff and seated immediately for our dinner reservation. Our server checked in on us frequently and very helpful with menu suggestions. We ordered several small plates and drinks. The brussel sprouts and beet salad were the stand outs. Chocolate rose dessert was a solid ending. If you park at the garage across the street, make sure confirm when they close! Thanks to a helpful building resident, we were able to retrieve our car.

Excellent service by Ada and the service team. The ambiance is lovely with modern decor and wonderful lighting. The food is wonderful - everything we ordered for a table of 6 was delicious. Well seasoned, excellent variety, wonderful puff bread! The dessert of apricot and vanilla yogurt was a perfect ending for an absolutely top notch meal.

I came to Zaytinya after a performance at Ford's Theatre. I was disappointed to see a foyer full of people and was resigned to a long wait, but was pleasantly surprised when the hostess said they had booths available in the bar. I was also pleased to find that the bar wasn't the usual dark hole, but was light and bright (albeit with lighting appropriately dimmed for the evening). Despite being busy, I was brought my drink order swiftly and the waiter promptly took my order. Zaytinya is a mezze restaurant, meaning that you're expected to order 2-3 small plates to comprise your meal. I decided to start with the Chicken Youvetsi (chicken braised with tomato and cinnamon, kefalograviera cheese, and kritharaki pasta). It was excellent. I was eyeing a salmon dish for my second plate, but between the Chicken Youvetsi and the four puffy pita breads they brought to me, I was already full. I ordered a dessert simply because I was so happy with the food and service. BTW, don't expect to find the usual Greek dishes like gyro sandwiches and souvlaki here -- this is more sophisticated Greek fare. I would love to come here again next time I'm in WashDC -- but with a bigger appetite next time.

This was our first time here and while enjoyable, it wasn't the experience that I expected. The decor is great, the service was fine, and the food was tasty. However, the tapas plates were expensive, were pretty small, and weren't that exciting. I will say, however, that the puffy bread was delicious.

The restaurant was completely packed when we went, but that did not diminish the really great service. Our dishes came out in sets of two, all timed beautifully to allow us to enjoy the whole meal. The number of waitstaff handing the restaurant with the baskets of wonderful, warm, fluffy pitas was amazing - we were never without the fresh bread. While not every dish was amazing, everything was so fresh and delicious and the portions were great. The highlights, for us, were the Brussels sprouts, and the grilled Halloumi cheese with pomegranate seeds and dates - both dishes were just fantastic. The chicken youvetsi with rice in a tomato sauce was also excellent. The falafel, as well as the lamb baharat, were nicely spiced. The kolokitokeftedes was delicious - so different. The only thing that was a little weird, for us, was the piyaz, the sauce that the giant beans were in just didn't work. The crispy eggplant was ok, just a little boring. We thought the service was outstanding and the wait staff were all very helpful in reminding us what dishes they were bringing out. Most dishes were $11-$12, so it's not too bad for mezze-style. The staff recommended three to four dishes per person for sharing and that was just right for us. It was a lovely experience.

Inside is bright and modern. Great outside seating as well. Would recommend placing a reservation as it gets busy. Highly recommend the lamb and chicken dishes. Super juicy, flavorful, and would 110% go back just for these dishes. Brussels sprouts imo were overrated but that's probably because I don't like vegetables. Or Brussels sprouts. (I got it because waitress said it was the most popular item on the menu)

The hosting was alright, our seats were mixed up and we ended up waiting a bit but they were nice about it. The service was exceptional. Our waiter was great and explained our dishes, and our bread was constantly filled.The food was shy of a 5. Starting from best to worst: my girlfriend (Greek) and I eat a lot of Mediterranean, and the Octopus Santorini was the BEST octopus we've had so far in the US- do NOT pass over this dish. The zucchini fritters (kolokithokeftedes) were also amazing and "nostalgic" to a Greek native. The Dakos salad was a nice farm to table dish. The imam bayildi and kibbeh were delicious, but we've had similar quality elsewhere. The taramosalata was probably the only dish that was off- it was sweet when we expected something typically salty. Sure everyone has their own way of doing it but it didn't sit with us.Overall great experience and the ambience on the patio on a summer night was nice. Do mind the summer bugs as you should anywhere when dining outside in DC.Edit: recommend 3 dishes per person, there's unlimited bread so we didn't get flatbread and that seemed to be a good choice.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty full- inside and outside. Haven't been here in awhile but it is still absolutely delicious! The waiter brought the memorable "bread" with the high quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar combo. My gluten-free friend could not partake and the waiter brought a small dish of sliced cucumbers and carrots. Very nice! We split two mezzos. The Piyaz (gigante beans in a broth) and Karpuzi me Feta (watermelon, feta and mint salad). I thought the watermelon salad was really good but I the watermelon itself could have been sweeter- it wasn't prime ripeness. The beans were served warm and very yummy. Serving was generous.

I went here once probably like 12 years ago for a happy hour and it was okay. A friend suggested we go and I was happy to go as I remembered they have octopus on the menu, which happens to be my favorite. Made reservations for 8:15 and the place was pretty packed but there were certainly tables open, I'd say about 25% of the indoor tables were still free. Unfortunately our service wasn't good, 2 items we ordered never came out and we had to request them a second time. It almost seemed as our server forgot what we ordered even though he had written it down. He was very kind, just didn't seem to be good at managing his tables...maybe he was new. The food was hit or miss, the scallops were by far the best and most flavorful dish we had, the octopus was good but you can certainly find better in DC. Pass on the salmon and the salads, they were nothing special. The lamb wasn't flavorful but it was cooked properly. I have to be honest and say this is a pass. I'll wait another 12 years and see if it gets better.

Crispy brussels afelia, cauliflower tiganites, garides me anitho (garlic shrimp), and Chicken Youvetsi.I'm happy that there were plentiful veggie options, and delicious ones at that!I was here for lunch but hope to make it to brunch or dinner, great expansive room with high ceilings, which makes for a nice evening dinner date spot!

I have long been a Jose Andres fan largely for his World Central Kitchen. We will happily support both the WCK and going to his restaurant when possible. We had an opportunity to eat at Zaytinya on a DC trip and overall it was very good. We started with the "Praise Bee" cocktails which were so good we were obliged to order a second round. The menu had so many delicious sounding options, it was hard to choose. We settled on the (HTIPITI) roasted red pepper/feta spread, (KOLOKITOKEFTEDES) zucchini and cheese pancakes, (BANTIJIAN BIL LABAN) fried eggplant, (PIYAZ) giant beans, (ADANA KEBAB) lamb kebob and (ZAYTINYA FRIES) fries with mushroom salt. Overall everything was good except the giant beans which I found to be under seasoned. The meal was punctuated with rounds of fresh, warm pita bread for dipping. Delicious. The customer service was so friendly and we had a great experience.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
