Everything was great.
Server Preston was nice and attentive. Filled our waters without needing to ask. Food tasted great. Only downfall is they didn't have the seafood omelet anymore.
Celebrated my friends birthday with lunch at Avra.
I mentioned her birthday on the reservation and the hostess, manager, bus boys, and waitstaff all wished her a happy birthday throughout our meal. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The manager brought over an appetizer and also made a dessert plate for us. We had the prix fixe lunch and it is a bargain. Everything is so fresh and delicious. This restaurant is not only beautiful, but has excellent staff and food!

It was my first time to go to this restaurant in Beverly Hills. I searched for it on Yelp after I arrived. The ratings and pictures were good, so I decided to give it a try. A Mediterranean-style seafood restaurant where you can choose your own ingredients and cook in the kitchen. The restaurant is still doing very well. We didn't make a reservation, but they also accept walk-ins. If you order during mealtime, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance. . The oysters, shrimps, and fish we ordered were all delicious. We didn't disappoint. We will go there again next time if we have the chance.

We sat for lunch and had the three course meal. I had the whole fish. Loved the atmosphere. Decor is nice. Service was good too. The baklava was the best I've ever had - very flavorful and moist. I'd definitely revisit and recommend,

We had amazing service the entire time, everyone from the hostess to the server, to the busboys, everyone was on top of it and so so kind. Avra has the top 3 ambiance of restaurants in Los Angeles, it's such a big space, so open and bright, and has such a great energy every time I come here. This place literally gets better and better since the first time I've been here and that includes the food, it just gets better and better. I only enjoy branzino at Greek restaurants, but yesterday was the first time I tried branzino at Avra and it was the best branzino I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked! And the lemon butter sauce on top was perfection. Genuinely can't wait to come back here, I love this place for lunch and dinner!

But, after my last visit yesterday, I realized that their food quality went down a little. I still love the ambiance. Service is acceptable. I feel like it's a bit overpriced now.... P.S: Well.. don't order wagyu NY strip... Stick to seafood choices if you are not allergic. I think last night was the last time for me. LA offers a LOT more interesting choices..

The food was excellent, drinks excellent, the lady in the bathroom who gives you towel - also excellent butttttttt they are very annoying about wine. We brought our own wine and had even emailed them about it. They initially said we could bring it but they would charge a corkage fee. We brought it and then they told us they didn't allow it. Pretty ridiculous honestly.
Terrific Mediterranean cuisine.
The pre fixed menu was surprisingly affordable. Food quality was terrific. The dips alone were worth the bill.
Get the Lemon Chicken Soup
Lunch at AVRA was quite good. I was able to get a seat at the busy bar and had the prix fixe lunch menu. The lemon chicken soup was exceptional. The Branzino and small dessert were delicious. The Greek martini cocktail was really great. Service was good but oddly paced with the cocktail arriving the same time as my appetizer. The colorful characters at the bar added to the lunch people watching.
AVRA a great last minute find (after a rained out rez) for a lunch celebration
Boy did we luck out. Due to the rain a reservation at another restaurant was canceled last minute and we had to find a place to go to celebrate my birthday and anniversary (we were married the week of my birthday) pretty fast. I did a search on line and found Avra. It wounded good so we called, got in and of we went to one of the best lunches ever in BH. Not only was the food and service excellent, but the room itself is so low-key elegant and made a perfect venue to celebrate ME with my husband and a close friend of ours. They have a three-course lunch special for $39 that's a bargain these days, lots of choices too and we all chose well. I had the sslmon tarta and we all had the dorado with cous cous. It actually is known for its fresh fish and even has a fish market inside. We opted for strawberry cheese cake for dessert but were so full we took it home. At it later and it was delicous.
Service is excellent, ambiance is good, food is tasty.
If you will come to Beverly hills you can try it.

Clean. Well lit. Service was good. Food overall was good for our party, but not outstanding. The halibut dish was very good. Noise was average. It was fine for meeting up with friends over a meal where the focus was on the friends and not the meal.
LOVE IT.
Except the chairs are soggy and not supportive like old furniture. And it's a little bit of a loud perfume filled hub bub, would be nice if they figured out how to sound proof just a bit!

I like the food here. I love many of their dishes. The service is pretty good. The restaurant is beautiful. The fish is always fresh. A bit pricey, but its Beverly Hills!

Great atmosphere. Expensive food but the crab cakes are worth and sit on the patio for sure!! Omg it's such a vibe and the food is fantastic. And our waiter was super attentive and on it. And the prix fixe lunch menu is definitely worth it with appetizer and even whole branzino with dessert for 40 bucks!

Our entree was king prawns from Madagascar. First time other than Portugal we have had them, easily the size of a 1.5 pound lobster tail. Grilled to perfection. Started with soup which was delicious our side dishes were great but honestly we went for the king prawns and was worth the traffic from the Westside. They have a fantastic lunch deal, a three course pre fix for $37 per person. The friends I was with had some allergy restrictions which the restaurant was more than happy to cater to. They bring pita chips and hummus to the table for sharing. My friend could not eat the chips and so she was brought a separate plate with veggies to eat, which was really nice of the restaurant. As an app, I had the Greek salad and while I didn't expect much, it was SOO good. I had the salmon as an entree and they asked me how I wanted it done, which I dont think I've ever been asked but it was also delicious, medium well. The server was attentive and water was refilled in a timely manner. The server asked if we were celebrating anything and we had all celebrated birthdays so she brought out the cutest desserts (albeit part of the pre fix) but had cute happy birthday signs on it. Everything we had was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Great service and great company. $3 parking right across the street, under the hotel.

Can I give this place a ZERO star? We came in around noon and asked the host if they had available table for us without reservation. She said she would have a table in 5-10 min. We waited half an hour and every 10 min after we asked if there was no table we would can just leave. She insisted that we wait and she would have a table in a min. We left the restaurant without being seated (we were treated really badly). This wasn't our first time being treated like this. We will never come back here. A message to management: do a better job hiring hosts- so far all been very unprofessional.

I love avra and highly recommend if you're in the area and have a special day to celebrate ! it's a beautiful restaurant that specializes in fresh seafood . their eggplant chips are to die for and so are their dips. the chips are lightly fried and perfectly salted. their lobster pasta was soo good; the chunks of lobster tasted super fresh and the pasta was also a good al dente texture. their fish is also excellent with just some salt and lemon . highly recommend!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
