Awesome atmosphere
I was blown away. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with an awesome atmosphere and exquisite interiors that set the perfect tone for the evening. The attention to detail in the decor and ambiance was truly impressive.
Amazing
Great food and service! You can not go wrong here. It's pricey but worth it. Do not have to dress fancy, which is nice.
Oh Halls, you do not disappoint.
, it's been a few years since I've been here (just not in the area) so I was excited when my travels brought me back to Charleston. I wasn't able to get a reservation and it was packed, but with a little bit of patience I was able to get seated at the bar. As usual I over ordered and will have lunch for tomorrow, but I had the French onion soup, NY strip and half sides of asparagus and mashed potatoes, loaded of course. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were awesome. The soup deserves its own paragraph but let's just say it was gooey cheesy goodness in a bowl. The staff bar none from greeting to service to leaving were awesome and despite the press of customers made me feel welcome. They did twist my arm and I took a piece of tiramisu cheesecake to go, it's calling me now but just, too, full. Looking forward to my next visit. Oh and yes I forgot to take photos.
Great food, great waiter, but…..
Both the steaks and the vegetables were outstanding, and by today’s standards reasonably priced for such quality. And my steak was cooked just as ordered - charred outside, very rare inside. The wine list however was extremely expensive and did not feature the California wines that we love. And our waiter was exemplary. But the noise level - even upstairs - was intolerable. This was caused partially by a full room and louder-than-necessary piped in music. Service was slow (not the waiter’s fault - I think it was the packed house) and by the time we were served the room was only 2/3 full - but we still had to shout to hear even our nearest table mates.
We went to Halls Chophouse for our anniversary dinner.
We arrived and were greeted by the owner who was super friendly. They knew who we were and wished us a happy anniversary. We sat down and received a complimentary glass of campaign. The waiter was very friendly and helped pick some amazing wines. I got the dry aged ribeye (the waiter recommended it) and it was the best-tasting steak I have eaten. The flavor was amazing and the meat was tender. The cream corn sides were delicious as well as the fully loaded potato. My wife got the prime rib and she loved it. Overall it was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fine dining steak house. I will definitely eat here again when I am back in Charleston.
Phenomenal food and a white glove service feel, I would go
Phenomenal food and a white glove service feel, I would go back next time. I am in Charleston.
Hall's Chophouse Summerville
We had been to the Hall's Chop House downtown and wanted to try the new one in Summerville. It did not disappoint. We had to call to let them know we would be late for our reservation due to the usual congestion that is common on Charleston's roadways. They were very accommodating and welcoming on our arrival. While there was live music, we were ushered to a quiet room off to the side. The service was well coordinated and all our food was creative and delicious. The servers were well informed and attentive. The one surprising downfall was that the parking was not easy despite the fact that this " new" Hall's is in a modern " strip mall". Maybe downtown Charleston is not so bad, afterall.
Extraordinary dining experience at Hall’s Chophouse!
Hall’s Chophouse exceeded our expectations and they were already high based upon all the reviews we had read before dining there. My husband and I were visiting Charleston as part of a 6 month cross country travel adventure. We chose Halls Chophouse as we wanted a fine dining experience in the beautiful city of Charleston. Our waiter, Mark, was extraordinary! His attention to detail, knowledge of great food, and ability to guide us through various menu options was amazing. He had such a great sense of humor and you can tell he is passionate about his craft and great food. Food came quickly and was presented beautifully. Fir appetizer I had the prosciutto and fontina stuffed mushrooms and my husband had the French onion soup. Both were delicious. We both had Mark’s recommended Bison tenderloin filet with truffle butter over a bed of mushroom risotto. (It was to die for). For sides we had fried okra and a roasted corn with cream and cheese - the corn side was also amazing!!! We finished our meal with cappuccinos and Mark’s recommended desserts of the whisky sauce and cherry bread pudding and my husband tried the toll house cookie in a cast iron skillet with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Being from Nee England m, we pride ourselves on bread pudding. And my husband and have to say that hands down the bread pudding is absolutely the best we’ve ever tasted! What an exceptional meal and dining experience. Cannot recommend this place more strongly! Pictures are proof. And in that bread pudding!! Special thanks to all the crew and Mark our waiter for making our visit so special!
Not an affordable wine list anymore
This was my go to place when i visited Charleston. I love it. The food was great the ambience and they have a beautiful music/ atmosphere .. but i googled the wine list and something has changed. I could not find a Cabernet Sauvignon under $95.. i am here for work, i am not celebrating my birthday or an anniversary. I would like a reasonable bottle of wine and sadly i was not going to visit based on the new price of the wine list. I even went to Merlot and other reds. I find Malbecs too earthy and that was a sort of reasonable price but the wine list has gone to I have no idea who affords that if not on a business account. I always appreciated the kindness of the bartenders and someone i think the manager or owner always circulated and shook your hand saying, hey, thank for coming but sadly, i can’t afford it anymore. This is the first time I have been in Charleston and not gone here for dinner. Can you please if you are in charge of the wine list, make some reasonable $40-$50 wines available for those of us not on an expense report ?

Love this restaurant! The food is amazing, atmosphere is great, staff is very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The scallops are AMAZING - but really, every food item you'll get here is 5 stars... I suggest ordering a few items and sharing so you can try more! We got the wedge salad, French onion soup, a seafood special appetizer, ribeye, filet bone-in, and a few sides!
This was the best dining experience we had in Charleston
This was the best dining experience we had in Charleston and I truly felt like the staff was so happy for us to be there. From the moment we entered, they were welcoming and kind. We celebrated my birthday here and Halls went out of their way to make it extra special, bringing us complimentary champagne and giving us thorough recommendations of the menu. Literally everything we had was great here. We started with the fried green tomatoes and my husband, who doesn't normally like fried green tomatoes, thought they were amazing! I ordered the filet and my husband ordered the wagyu. Both cuts were incredible -- the wagyu was definitely a step above the filet I ordered in terms of flavor profile. Just an amazing cut of meat. For dessert, we ordered the caramel cake, which was recommended by our server. OMG this thing was the best dessert ever and truly unlike any other cake I have had before. Everything was so nice here and just overall so happy we were able to celebrate my birthday here!
Ear plugs mandatory
Dinner on a raucous Saturday night. We are people that enjoy a bustling restaurant, but having to shout at each other and waitstaff to be heard above the cacophony is a bit too much-not our style. I suppose food is adequate but dining out is a total experience and I found this experience unpleasant
I'm a big fan of the bar menu at Halls chophouse.
That burger is a 10 out of 10 and I get it every time. The truffle fries are also amazing and are a favorite of mine. Halls is always busy, which is usually a sign of a great restaurant. The service is fantastic as you would expect from a nice steakhouse, and the drinks are made with care.
Top 5 meals I've ever had.
The lobster mac and cheese, the bison, the shrimp and grits were all to die for. The she crab soup was excellent too. The service was above and beyond without being too intrusive. You MUST eat here if you're in the area. The downstairs was a little noisy but it was completely worth it. Highly, highly recommend.
Amazing staff, very friendly and welcoming.
Every staff member welcomes you and thanks you for coming in. No reservation but we were seated immediately. We could order from bar menu in the dining room as well. Well portioned salads to start, along with good bread. The steak sandwich and six ounce club steak were both amazing. Although, the six ounce was slightly over seasoned, but cooked perfectly. The steak martini on the bar menu was the least impressive item on the bar menu ordered. A small portion of steak, which was expected, along with whipped potatoes was in this dish. The potatoes were not very flavorful, yet filled with scallions. On that note, even though not on the menu, every item was prepared/garnished with scallions. The ambiance was different than expected of a steak house. It was louder and more bustling than you find in restaurants of this caliber. Overall, Halls is very good. The smaller details are what bring this rating to a 4/5.
This place is awesome.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the owner himself. He then brought all the couples complimentary glasses of champagne. They know how to make their customers feel special. Our server was Max and he accommodated our requests perfectly. We got half portions of the sides given that there were only 2 of us and we split the steak and appetizer special. The special included a pound of lobster, 2 shrimp and 2 scallops. The scallops were out of this world. If I could have just ordered a plate full of scallops I would have. The hot pepper martini was a combination of flavors I had never tasted before and it blew my mind. Halls is beautiful, welcoming and very customer service based. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.
Bar selections were top notch for bourbons.
Lively place with excellent service by waitstaff. Cozy dining areas downstairs in an historic building. Lump crab cake and fried green tomatoes appetizers were superb. Steaks were perfection. Wish I could say the same for the scallops. Almost raw and very salty. I would not order again.
Literally, everyone we spoke with insisted that a visit to
Literally, everyone we spoke with insisted that a visit to Charleston wouldn't be complete without a trip to Hall's Chophouse. With such high praise, we were skeptical that it could live up to the hype. However, we managed to snag a reservation a month in advance, and boy, were we in for a treat! Hall's Chophouse didn't just meet our expectations, it exceeded them! The staff is by far the most friendly and welcoming restaurant team I've ever encountered. Everyone was incredibly nice, and the owner, Brad Hall, went out of his way to greet us and ensure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. We each started with a glass of wine from their extensive wine list, which offered a fantastic selection to suit any preference. For my main course, I indulged in the 14 oz New York Strip, and it was cooked to perfection. The steak was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor - easily one of my top three steak experiences of all time!As for our sides, we opted for the loaded mashed potatoes and mushrooms, both of which were exceptional. Honestly, these were some of the best sides I've ever had at a steakhouse.Having dined at top steakhouses across the country - from Dallas to New York - I can confidently say that Hall's Chophouse stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of them, if not surpassing them. If you're in Charleston, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Hall's Chophouse. You won't be disappointed!
Best service and food in Charleston!! Would recommend
Best service and food in Charleston!! Would recommend adding this one to your list when visiting Charleston!
Flawless,perfection with genuine, Southern hospitality!
Halls Chophouse has it all! Such wonderful food, drink and service along with a wonderful vibe. It’s no wonder that it is packed at 9 PM on a Monday. This restaurant is very warm lit and welcoming. Upon entering, our party felt welcomed and taken care of. They had a jazz pianist with a saxophonist who were wonderful to listen to. Once we were seated, our server told us about the menu. This is primarily a steakhouse, but they have something that will appeal to everybody.. Two of had the bone in filet mignon, which was bursting full of flavor which is unusual for a filet. The other member of our party had a Cobb salad, which she said was absolutely fabulous. I started out the meal with a cup of their she crab bisque, which was wonderful. We ordered a lovely bottle of wine from the extensive list and finished the meal with a couple of desserts, which included the bread pudding which was probably one the best I have ever had. To me, a trip to Charleston is not complete unless you visit Halls chophouse.
A family dinner
We got on a waitlist to come to this restaurant and got a reservation after several days. Our expectations were very high. The service was great, but the food was decidedly average. The tuna was not good at all. Very flavorless. The steak was not great compared to other restaurants of the same caliber. I’d say that saving your time and money and going elsewhere would probably be a better choice.
We called ahead, but couldn't get reservations.
We were told that if we showed at 6 pm we could wait for high top that shouldn't be a very long wait. We came a little before 6, had a drink and waited for an hour with the wait list going from 2 couples ahead of us, to 2 couples still ahead of us.
My husband and I absolutely LOVED the Halls Chophouse
My husband and I absolutely LOVED the Halls Chophouse Dining Experience! From the moment we walked in the door, we were waited on hand and foot.
Dinner at Halls
Excellent food, ambience and outstanding service. Loved the experience. Our server Allie was exceptional. She made great recommendations after hearing what we liked. Great experience and a must try restaurant if you’re in Charleston, SC.
Excellent food.
Fantastic service. Lovely ambiance. Treat yourself to a nice night out.
Great Steak
Our meal was delicious. We split the 16 oz. rib eye, had a salad and the loaded baked potato. All was delicious and plenty of food. The service was friendly and attentive. The only reason of 4 stars instead of 5 is that the noise level is really too loud for anyone to enjoy a nice meal. There were times when we could not hear each other at the table.
It was great food and great ambiance.
Loud but fun. If you're looking for a quiet dinner, go early when they open. It is fab!
King of Steakhouses
Deliciously prepared cuisine, charming decor, impeccable service. An essential Charleston dining experience in the heart of its historic district.
Wonderful Dinner
The food at Halls was amazing. We had beef filets and they were perfectly cooked and tender. The "side" baked potato was large enough for 3 people. The dessert, however, was irresistable - Tollhouse cookie topped with ice cream with fudge and salted carmel sauce. I highly recommend this restuarant.
Exceptional
Halls treated us to a very special family dinner. We were celebrating my younger sons birthday and they brought him out a special drink and treated him to dessert. The food was marvelous and the service was excellent. The menu offered favorites for all 6 of us so everyone was happy. We tremendously enjoyed our experience.
Awesome all around!
Everything from the reservation experience, the hostesses, our waitress and table staff (superb!) and all oh yeah, the food and drink was outstanding too! The owner stopped by the table to say hello and he was super nice and appreciative of our business. A top-notch, well-oiled staff, from beginning to end. Thank you!
Not all it’s cracked up to be
Has great food and atmosphere but when my wife and I want to go out, we want to have a conversation. We don’t want to be constantly interrupted by multiple servers bringing food and trying to talk. We have kids and barely get to go out, like once every 6 years. We don’t want to be harassed constantly, just want quiet time
Excellent food and superb service!
We visited Charleston for our babymoon and we received a recommendation to go to Halls. It was the best dinner we had and even better service! They really go above and beyond, and made us feel so special. The food was delicious, best steak we have ever had. The handwritten thank you note delivered to our house was so special. We hope to dine back here again with our baby in the future! Highly recommend!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Appointment
I was waiting on the transfer for name but it hasn’t happened yet and my reservation is tonight , will it be an issue that is hasn’t changed into my name yet
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Just got scammed!
Thats unfortunate but you can always get your money back if they cancel the reservation.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome
to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
