Wow! Spago is abosoutley amazing and wonderful! Where do I
Wow! Spago is abosoutley amazing and wonderful! Where do I begin... I had the best *fourteenth birthday celebrated at Spago, not to mention that I am a HUGE Wolfgang Puck fan. Now, a year later, I am coming back to this review and I have nothing more wonderful to say about it. The food was phenomonal, the Smoked Salmon Pizza with Creme Fraiche and the touch of Caviar is jaw dropping (right now makes my mouth water). Chef Wolfgang Puck was amazing. He welcomed me into the kitchen for my brithday!! And he gave us FOUR free desserts and comped a part of our meal. Oh my god thank you Spago Beverly Hills for this amazing expirence. And Wolfgang I can't wait to see you when I turn 16 (less than one year a way).

This has been in BH for as long as I can remember. Overpriced as expected for a restaurant in BH. Expect to pay $150 per person minimum. My critique would be that they don't seem to know anything about allergies or don't take it seriously so if you have allergies - repeat them many times so they understand.
😍
One of the highlights of my meal was the dessert.
The dessert was absolutely amazing, and I found myself savoring every bite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was beautiful.Another standout dish was the salmon pizza. The crust was crispy, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. The flavors worked together perfectly, and the dish was both unique and delicious.Lastly, the A5 Japanese Wagyu was beyond amazing. The quality of the meat was outstanding, and the flavors were rich and intense. This dish was a true highlight of the meal, and I would highly recommend it to anyone dining at Spago.Overall, I had a fantastic experience dining at Spago Restaurant. I had such a wonderful dinner experience here.
Came on a busy Saturday night weekend before Valentine's Day. Yet the service, ambience, and dishes were impeccable! Flawless is the best way to describe it. Several staff members checked in with us every 10-15min so we were never left unattended or with questions unanswered. We even ran into THE Wolfgang Puck! He was working himself like a madman. You could really tell the passion he has for his business and food.Atmosphere was very very romantic. Dim flattering warm lighting. A real fire place with giant logs placed between the main dining room and the patio. Nude sketches scattered along the walls. And the thing I appreciated most, elbow space!!! Each table was spaced more than arms length apart. I felt like I could comfortably spread out, talk to my table, and didn't have to shift around when someone walked by.A must go place if you're in LA!

Beverly Hills Fine Dining
Still some of the best dining in LA - service team went above and beyond and every dish we tried was incredible. Be sure to save room for dessert!

Amazing Valentines and anniversary, my husband surprised me
Amazing Valentines and anniversary, my husband surprised me with this epic dinner! Loved the entertainment (a live band and tap dancer!) and our delicious meal, what a special place and experience to remember. The desserts were insane too, they went all out. I've gone here a few other times for my moms bday, with friends and over the holidays, always a beautiful, fun, grand and lovely time! Service is great. We'll be back.

Fantastic show, amazing dinner, outstanding service and lovely atmosphere! You managed to fix us a nice table near the stage although it was fully booked. We’ll be back! 👏

Great food and outstanding service.
This is how you look after people and serve great food. From the starter to the mains it was outstanding. Friendly waiting staff on point and not a forced emotion in them. All of them were outstanding. The food was great - the tuna cones and the cerviche were tasty. As was the branzino and the lobster pasta. To top it off they did an off menu Mickey Mouse pizza for our kids. Excellent on all fronts. In the fairness of honesty, the only slight was on the way in and the way out the four valets all let my wife walk in and out in the pouring rain while they kept dry under a tent and they had umbrellas there too. Bad manners on their behalf. But we had a great night regardless. Kudos again to the staff inside.
I so wanted to give this place a five star review as it is number two on my restaurant bucket list, but I had some minor complaints. First, I was having dinner for one and wanted to make a reservation as soon as possible because of the popularity. I tried to do it online and it wouldn’t complete my request. So I submitted an online inquiry and heard nothing back. Finally I called and spoke to a very nice lady that got it all booked, but then when I got a text asking to confirm my reservation, which I did, I heard nothing back. I had my hotel call and confirm my confirmation. I arrived early and went to the host stand. The two people manning it barely smiled or looked at me, however the young lady who took me to my table was all smiles. My table for one was in a service area behind a tree. I was disappointed. I understand a single diner is not as big a revenue source as parties of two or more, but I’m a paying customer. Then one of the servers, William, came to my table with a menu and to welcome me and I commented about where I was. He moved my table so I had a better view, brought over some nicer chairs and made sure I was well taken care of. He introduced me to the sommelier who helped me pick a wine to have with my dinner and my actual server, James, was very attentive. I got the pink moscato to drink and it was perfect. For dinner I had the wiener schnitzel. It came out piping hot and crispy, but could have used a touch more salt when they finished frying it. Also it was a little greasy. The warm potato salad was superb and the cucumber salad was good, just a little heavy on the caraway seeds. Then to finish off my meal, I got the Apple strudel. They gave me three piece instead of the normal two. I couldn’t eat it all, but it was so delicious. It was a good meal, but could have been great if the customer service before I arrived and right when I arrived had been a little better. The prices are high for what you get, so great service should be part and parcel. Thankfully William and James made up for the rough start I had.
Nice place when we enter, passing the bar. But our table in the room where we feel as if too many tables in the room. I asked if we could have outdoor table and she said no you can not. And the other staff said it was closed. We order oyster, pizza, black ink pasta and fish and rose. The rose is good. But the food was oke. Theres nothing special about it
Excellent, attentive service that felt genuine and caring. Superb food. The atmosphere is lively, not for those looking for quiet. We’ve been before and didn’t expect a tranquil space, just excellent food and service, both of which we found.
With a two day stop-over in LA on our way out of the country, we decided to hit Spago, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great, the cocktails and drinks were as expected. Between the two of us, we had the Jidori chicken and the duck, both of which were excellent. I personally was torn between the duck and the veal, and on a return trip I plan to try the veal. Almost all the entrees were between $50-75, which I thought was extremely well priced for the Beverly Hills area. For dessert we split the Warren pears. The staff top to bottom was the real star of the show, as I would expect the food at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant to be top notch. While taking our drink order, the server asked if we were celebrating any sort of occasion to which we mentioned we were on a trip celebrating our anniversary. This led to a well wishes message on our dessert plate, which was a nice touch we thought considering the server remembered that it was our 8th anniversary specifically. Would highly recommend!

In many ways, Spago is the quintessential Beverly Hills
In many ways, Spago is the quintessential Beverly Hills restaurant - it has an iconic status and has seeped its way into popular culture. I made dining here a priority during my first visit to California three years ago, and it was a highlight of my trip. For my most recent visit to LA, I knew I wanted to dine here again; it's such a special place that I wanted to see if it was still as good as I remembered it. Additionally, my brother was with me this trip and he was eager to try Spago for himself. All that being said, we booked a table for our last night in CA.I had remembered what the vicinity and exterior of Spago looked like, so I was quite surprised to find a whole new structure in front of my eyes as I turned onto North Canon Drive. While the original restaurant is still there, I noticed that the only people inside were sitting at the bar. All seating, as well as the host(ess) stand was now inside a newly built structure that took up the entire block. I assume this was done in response to COVID, and like many restaurants they kept it. They essentially built and entire new area of the restaurant, which they seem to be using primarily since I did not see anyone dining indoors. It's really gorgeous inside - super spacious with a lot of high end touches; it's the nicest "outdoor" dining experience I have ever had. Spago specializes in New American California cuisine, and that's represented well on the menu. One of their most famous dishes is their smoked salmon pizza, which is served with crème fraîche and topped with caviar. We decided to start with that, and it was everything I expected it to be - the salmon was tender, and the pairing of the crème fraîche and caviar made it an awesome starter (note - this is an off-menu item). Since we love carbs, we also got their Hearth Baked, which is a variety of boxes filled with different types of breads. These were delicious as well - a variety of rolls and flatbreads paired with butter and oil mmmmm yes. For my main I went with the salmon, which was served on top of white beans in a tasty sauce. I really liked this dish, the fish was cooked well and was a welcome reprieve to the relatively heavy starters we had. We of course had to get dessert, and I went with the chocolate pistachio soufflé. I really enjoyed this - the soufflé had a lot of flavor and was paired with this tasty raspberry sauce and raspberry sorbet. Service was fine - our waiter was a little absent, but this was explained to us and other servers filled in to make sure the pacing stayed on point. Everyone was super friendly, which I expected at this type of establishment. Overall, my opinion of Spago hasn't changed - this is most definitely a destination restaurant that lives up to its iconic status. If there was ever a place in LA that I would visit time and again, it would be here.

Always an excellent meal here.
From the cocktails to the ambience to every dish that is served, everything here is phenomenal. We go here fairly regularly and it is consistently fabulous.

Came in as a party of one and was treated with the finest service. Josie was a wonderful server, very attentive, professional, and lovely to talk with. She coursed out my meal perfectly, and offered to have the last bits of my entree boxed for me. She made perfect recommendations; a glass of Tempernillo with my pork entree, and the Chocolate Sacher for dessert. From seating to departure it was time well spent on my day off. Thank you again for everything, Josie.

I admit, I had expectations coming here and it wasn't all that. It was good, but just not all that. The tuna cones were overpriced and you can pass on that. The smoked salmon pizza wasn't on the menu but I saw ppl having that. I also had the entree size squid ink lobster pasta, it was good, but not a big portion.Service was as expected. There wasnt any healthcare or admin fee added to our bill so that was good.

The service was amazing but the food could not have been more mediocre. The meal was insanely expensive and both myself and my dining companion woke up the next day feeling so sick. Took almost 48 hours to feel better and my wallet is drained from the insanely expensive meal that got me sick

Best meal I've had in awhile! Actually, I had such a great
Best meal I've had in awhile! Actually, I had such a great meal a couple months ago, I was back last week to try some more of the menu. Beyond excellent service both times I've been in. How do they not have a Michelin star? They have all the right components. Their menu is full of fresh, seasonal ingredients done to perfection, served in a beautiful tented dining area with exceptional servers.Prices are a bit different than on their website, so just keep that in mind when checking their menu online. Also ingredients in the dishes change daily based on the freshest ingredients available so keep that in mind, as well. One of our absolute favorite dishes that we must get every time we're in are the $39 Tuna Cones. Fresh, crisp, great melding of ingredients! These just hit.Their $26 Burrata is bomb. The $29 Kampachi Ceviche was enjoyable but not enough that I'll be ordering it again. Same with the $54 Chicken even though I love all ingredients in the dish. But the mashed potatoes that came with it? Holy goodness, life changing. Best I've had in my life. So creamy it just melts away in your mouth and they let us order a big ol' bowl of them last time we were in. The $28 Fettuccini was delicious, would totally get that again. The Bincho Grilled Octopus comes in at $32 and is a beautiful dish! Well done and totally instagrammable. The Sichuan Style Crispy Bass was great and the crab wonton with it was moneyyyy! I'd like a dish of those, please! The souffle for dessert is a must get! Different ingredients are added depending on the day and when I had it, it was a Pistachio Chocolate Chip Souffle. Just divine!$16 each for Mocktails is a little steep but I've loved all that I've tried - Cracklin' Rosie, Double Happiness and a few others. The Garden Soda was my favorite and was $18...with no liquor! Sheesh!Matt was our server the first time and he was beyond amazing. We were there when the restaurant was empty and given a terrible table. Without us even asking, he switched our table noticing it didn't make sense to give us the original table. It's actually kinda weird, the servers and managers are all exceptional but a host or two just don't seem very friendly and really drag. There are a couple that are great though. In short, don't skip the tuna cones, mashed potatoes or dessert souffle. You really can't go wrong with anything you order though! I look forward to trying more on their menu.
Be ready to sit inside the tent in the middle of the street as they are currenly doing reconstruction inside the building.

While visiting my friend in Marina Del Rey, this was on my radar. So happy we were able to get a reservation. Our reservation was for the bar dining, which was fine! Our server/bartender was Angel! He was very attentive to us. We of course had drinks, that were excellent! Then we had a dozen of oysters, a cheese pizza, and a Salmon and black bass entree. Everything was cooked perfectly and presented nicely. Atmosphere was great! We even got to meet Wolfgang Puck. He took a pic w us. Very nice man. Spent time talking to everyone.

I can't get enough of this place.

A Beverly Hills institution.
Wolfgang Puck's Spago has 6 locations worldwide, but this is their flagship restaurant. The interior has recently expanded into a spacious outdoor dining tent, which manages to be elegant, and an ideal choice for groups. We came here for my husband's birthday dinner with 7 friends, and while the experience was overall good, the meal fell short of our expectations. Service was charismatic and generous, offering complimentary glasses of champagne and vegan desserts to everyone at our table. 6 of our group were strict vegans, and Spago was happy to accommodate. That being said, most of us were served the wrong drink/food, and had to remind the waiters what we had ordered more than once. The Barrel Aged Negroni was great take on a classic. Campari, gin, and sweet vermouth, aged in Solera since 2014. I ordered the White Asparagus for my main, which I did not expect to be served cold. It was perfectly cooked, but topped with interesting gelee and foam that did not feel cohesive. The Cauliflower and Mushroom sides were overly oily and bland. Priced at nearly $100, the Pizza with Black Truffles was disappointing. The bechamel and thick layer of cheese created a rubbery, one-note layer atop the crust, and the truffles were not particularly flavorful. It was edible, but not great. The Pizza with House Cured Smoked Scottish Salmon, on the other hand, was extraordinary. The flavor profile was that of a very luxurious bagel. Order this. The layered meringue dessert with fresh strawberries, which the staff kindly personalized with my husband's name, was a nice ending to a mostly mediocre meal. I would come back to Spago for the Smoked Salmon Pizza and cocktails, but that is about it.
😍
this is arguably the best restaurant in LA county.
Wolfgang Puck is amazingly attentive. i encourage everyone to eat here at least twice a week. once with your best friend. and then bring your dad to the second time every week you eat here. he will be so happy, he will pay for the dinner. lol

Spago has been on my list for years.
I mean, it IS a Beverly Hills institution after all. Thankfully, I have friends who are just down for random fancy dinners on a weeknight! What's also great about friends who are down for random fancy dinners on a weeknight is that there is no such thing as a budget when it comes to the food! A quick review of everything we ate:1. Pizza with House Smoked Salmon: I can see why this is a Spago favorite. I never knew I needed a pizza with smoked salmon combined with cream cheese until I ate this. My god, this is amazing! Only regret is that we didn't have two of these. 2. Pugliese Burrata: Really liked this, fresh burrata with the veggies worked well. Very refreshing!3. Carnaroli Risotto: How can you go wrong with a seafood risotto, especially one with Maine lobster? Exactly, you can't.4. Bellweather Farm's Ricotta Cavatelli: Honestly this wasn't my choice, but I'm glad my friend picked this as this is one of my favorite dishes of the night. Cavatelli pasta with a great tomato and chili pasta with veal and ricotta? Yeah, no need to say anything else.5. Lacquered Liberty Farm's Duck Breast: A lot of restaurants absolutely butcher duck breast. Spago has perfected duck breast. Easily my favorite dish of the night. I'd come back just got this one.6. Grille Marcho Farm's Veal Chop: Slightly overcooked from our requested medium rare. But since veal is kinda weird sometimes, I didn't really mind. A great end to the dinner portion of our meal.7. Kaiserschmarrn: Somehow made it to dessert! Ordered the kaiserschmarrn (soufflé pancake) as we saw another table order it, which meant we had to have it. It was fantastic. Not too overwhelmingly sweet, yet very fluffy and soft. 8. Basque Cheesecake: I loved how thick this cheesecake was, definitely more akin to the kind of traditional cheesecake I prefer. Service was fantastic! Jacob, our server, gave us a thorough run down of Spago's menu. Made some great recommendations which we took! He also structured our meal so that we got the salmon/burrata as a course, the pastas as a course, and the meats as a course. Really liked how that was spread out!We ended up sitting in the outdoor tent, which still has some decent ambience. The outdoor dining that was inside the restaurant itself looked a little nicer. I don't have any complaints with where we sat though as we had plenty of space, great lighting, and minimal noise. I think they were deliberately avoiding using the inside space, because I didn't see anyone sitting inside except for people at the bar.Parking is easy, just park at any of the cheap parking lots that Beverly Hills offers. Closest one to Spago is the one at Beverly Canon Gardens.Overall, Spago was everything I hoped for. I wanted a classy Beverly Hills dinner, and that's exactly what I got. Can't wait for the next time I come back here!

Spago in Beverly Hills.
Need I say more?Spago offers a classy, fun and exciting ambience with delicious food and exceptional service. We ordered the signature salmon pizza with roe which was phenomenal. We also tried the Hearth Baked bread assortment which was truly unique. For the mains we went with the Agnolotti del Plin and the Liberty Farm's Duck Breast. INCREDIBLE - both stunning and tasty. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the duck was seasoned beautifully.Dessert was also delicious. Our server Max was very professional, nice and knowledgeable. We will be back again the next time we're in town! Thank you Spago for an incredible experience!!!

Are you celebrating anything?Yes! We are celebrating my best friends divorce! They really took care of us and Every single bit was full of flavor. We did have to request being inside instead in the outdoor tent...But one we were relocated they attended to us hand and foot. The duck breast in particular was literally melt in your mouth. The bread basket was poppin' with flavor. The Cavateli was perfect. The only thing we got that was average was the Veal wienerschnitzelOnce in a life-time experience.Definitely recommended.

This is the third time coming here and third times a charm.
It has not gotten better. Our meals were average at best. I just don't believe eating in a tent constitutes spending $290.00 for two. This will definitely be our last time going there. BTW I had to call the waitress over twice to get our order and check on the entree
😍
It's definitely a must eat restaurant when you visit Rodeo
It's definitely a must eat restaurant when you visit Rodeo Drive or Beverly Hills. We reserved a table on OpenTable. The foods had a very rich and flavorful taste that none of the dish tasted boring. We ordered a smoked salmon pizza, pasta beef cheek stew, spicy big eye tuna tartare cones, and crispy scale Black Sea bass. They gave a lot of salmons on the top of pizza and put slices of red onions and cream cheese spread underneath. The sauce of beef stew pasta was rich and savory. The tuna tartare cones were really impressive that they put not only tuna but also fish roe, scallion, and sesame too. The sea bass had a crispy skin, and the fish meat was fresh and sweet.Overall, the service was really excellent. The the foods were really impressive!! I would definitely recommend it
😍
Combo you didn't know you needed .
Smoked salmon + pizza. Roe on top adds a special touch. Really quality stuff. Obviously pricey but you know that coming in. We were the first people seated so food came fast. Also saw Wolfgang walking around which is cool to see that he frequents this restaurant. Waiters were friendly as well!
