This restaurant is in the Langham Place hotel. Food was excellent and the service also great. We had a private room for the dinner and a Drink in the bar after. Recommended.

A touch overrated Italian place with classy food but a questionable layout for a Michelin star restaurant. $35 a dish. 3.5/5 stars as a dinner spot.

This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! The food was incredible and totally worth the cost. The staff was also very accommodating -- we got the date of our reservation wrong, but they let us sit in the lounge while we waited ~20 minutes for a table to open up. I would definitely recommend coming here with a small group of friends or on a date if you are looking for great food in an aesthetic restaurant!

The service and staff were great and really made you feel special. However, the food was mediocre. When you go to a well-known hyped up restaurant, you want to be able to remember a dish you can go back to, and unfortunately, none were. The crudo and pulpio, which were served first, were perfectly prepared but tasteless. Then we had the Nero pasta, which was the best dish of the night and risotto (bland and undercooked). We then had the halibut and lobster, which were both cooked to perfection. However, still lacked seasoning all around. There are many other options for the price paid. Overall disappointing.

We've enjoyed some exceptionally elegant service by your head waiter. It's nice to actually connect with someone rather than just be served. This together with the food, wine and the setting, let us feel bestowen with a gift.

The bloom is off the flowers

For several years this was a splendid restaurant with a deserved Michelin star. At a recent visit, it had come down considerably: the bloom was off the fiori. The kitchen still makes excellent pastas, but the service has collapsed -- and at these prices, that's unacceptable. The elegant dining room was not overly full, yet drinks and courses took forever to arrive. A young sommelier evaded a question about the dryness of available white wines and tried to palm off the priciest items on a very pricy wine list. Then the wine we ordered before the main course arrived did not appear until its conclusion, at which point we declined it. All told, not a great experience.

Wow. One of the best Italian dining experiences I have had.

Wow. One of the best Italian dining experiences I have had. Truly amazing pastas. So flavorful and Devine. Love the bar. They make a beautiful vesper martini. The tartare di carne is magnificent. Troupe Nero was very interesting and great taste. The spaghetti was amazing. But the show stopper was the new addition to the menu... curlorgiones. Magnificent!!! Incredible ravioli bursting with flavor. The halibut was very good. But the pastas rocked.
🙂

This is the second time I've been to this restaurant because it's amazing. I do the pre fixe chefs menu, which allows you to choose your own appetizer, pasta, main course, and dessert at a set price! The service was stellar and the atmosphere was excellent. The only thing I'd say was a little too much was the olive oil pool of the crudo however every other meal I've had was 10/10.
🙂

Finally got a decent reservation time for ai fiori and the restaurant vibe is very modern with nicely spaced tables. Service was excellent as well throughout dinner. The highlight is of course the pastas. We got the king crab pasta special along with blue crab pasta and squid ink pasta. Surprisingly, the squid ink with shrimp and scallops was the best. It had the most interesting flavor with a great mix of textures. The other 2 pastas were fairly similar but I think the blue crab had slightly more flavor but not enough crab. The special had more crab but not quite as much depth of flavor in the sauce. Unfortunately I missed out on pictures of the appetizers, but the fluke crudo and beef tartar were the highlights even though the fluke was outrageously tiny. The entrées were nothing special, would stick to the pastas instead next time around. We got the steak, halibut, monkfish and none were particularly great. I thought for a NY strip steak, it was too chewy, but well seasoned and cooked properly. The portions of fish were super small but nothing blatantly wrong or surprising in any way. This place is definitely worth visiting for the pastas and appetizers, but they need work on their entrées.

Always a pleasure to come here, and we've been coming every Valentine's Day that we can! It was a seven course meal and every item was incredible. I am a vegetarian so I always appreciate a menu that full accommodates my dietary restrictions. We had just one concern with one dish and the staff was so thankful for the feedback and marked down our bill to accommodate, no questions asked - that's great service! We will definitely be back next year and many times in between!

Went on a Friday night that did not seem too busy yet service was very slow. By the time our food came we were so hungry that we didn't care to send it back even though it was cold. Duck, halibut, fusilli all were delicious but would be much better if they were enjoyed at the right temp. Can't serve cold food on hot plates and think it's okay.

We came to Ai Fiori for the reputation and we're so excited to try it. The menu selection was limited and no specials that evening. Lobster bisque soup was great! Everything else was just ok. The appetizers were so small , literally 2 forks and you're done. We also had the duck which was delicious and the strip steak was cooked perfectly. Other than that, nothing special.
🙂
Very nice, but not great
Our meal was served warm, not hot. When my wife mentioned it, they offered to re-make hers, but that would have meant that she would watch me eat and then .... They did not charge for her meal, but that was not the point. Our wine was excellent, but overpriced -- welcome to New York!
😍
Highly rated for a reason
We arrived into the city around 8PM and at the recommendation of our hotel we walked to Ai Fiori, hoping they could seat us @9PM, They welcomed us and the entire experience was wonderful. Love their menu, and their extensive wine list, with outstanding selections. The service was to perfection. The staff really knows how to make your experience and dining very pleasant. It was exceptional.

A Must Visit Restaurant When in Manhattan.
We had the tasting menu and it was delicious and memorable. The presentation was beautiful and creative. The staff was welcoming and unpretentious. The restaurant is located in the Langham Hotel. We will definitely visit again when in Manhattan.

Hi, firstly the service was not ideal quite disjointed , our waiter did not really stand still when talking to us he didn’t take the time with us so we decided to do the tasting menu and wine pairing and was asked if we were adventurous and with food and we said yes. The service itself the waiter kind of dropped the knives and forks in place and they were not straight which I know is not a big deal but in a Michelin star it is my other half even ended up with two forks and we had to ask for a knife. The sommelier was very very good and the wine was very good he was the best bit by far real nice guy. The ambience was ok the setting was nice but the music why play r&b/garage/house in a Michelin star restaurant? I understand there is bar attached and it’s within a hotel but club music and fine dining don’t mix. The waiters were good but I appreciate preference on wearing masks however when describing the dishes which is a lot detail we could not hear them we had to guess three of seven dishes possibly a visor could work as we had no menus due to having the tasging menu at chefs mercy basically. The food was good all in all but after advising we were adventurous we get two of the same meats with 4 white wines and 1 red which is too much white wine. My main duck dish was very under and the fat was not rendered and gooey so not edible and just weird dish with liver and starchy potatoes. After this we were waiting for our bill for 20 minutes or so when a different waiter had to approach us as original one was no where to be seen once we had paid we then walked past him at the bar talking and joking with another customer he seemed he forgot about us or acknowledge us leaving so not really an end to end service. After eating at other Michelin stars we trusted the star and have had much better experiences for less money. Go to chelsea market and blow 40 bucks on Takumi tacos better service and incredible tacos they were the highlight of the trip this was an 800 dollar mistake dont do it.
I don’t know how this is still a Micheline Star restaurant. Drinks weren’t great, the bread was cold (and not far off from stale) and the entrees were sub par. Swordfish was bland and boring and the pasta was room temperature. Atmosphere was quite unimpressive.
Beautiful restaurant. The food was good but not great. It took long to get food but yet I felt rushed throughout the meal. Wine selection was great. Overall it wasn’t that impressive.

Excellent food but some staff members lack the right attitude
Food and staff in the dining room were wonderful! Both beef tartare and crudo were very good appetizers. Astice lobster was one of the best dishes I have eaten in this type of restaurants. However ladies in the front of the house were extremely unpolite and lied to us about our reservation missing even though we showed them confirmation email. Detailed search showed that reservation was OK. So first experience was awful but luckily food itself and other staff members saved our dinner. I hope that their manager is going to have serious discussion with these ladies about the right customer service attitude.

Fabulous tasting menu with wine pairings
We spent the weekend in the city to celebrate our anniversary. We decided to see a matinee and then have a relaxing dinner. We chose the chef’s tasting menu with the accompanying wine pairings. The wait staff, runners and bus staff were very attentive. The runners described each dish as it was served, and Abdul made sure that our water glasses were never empty, and dishes were cleared efficiently. It was a seven course tasting menu, so being able to have the courses spread out was important so that we could fully enjoy each course. It is fall, and we really liked the way that squash was used in many of the dishes, especially the sauce on the three cheese ravioli. What made the evening truly memorable was the sommelier, John, who Took the time to explain the tasting notes with each wine, and why it was chosen to compliment the dish. We had a fabulous experience, and would definitely visit again.

Love this place! Fabulous food
Really nice setting, very welcoming. Love the menu. Lots of fantastic options which made for difficult decisions. Lobster bisque was so tasty. The spaghetti with blue crab with Calabrian chiles was terrific. Definitely has some heat but was delicious. The risotto with lobster and uni cream was also fantastic. So well done. Entrees included swordfish and rack of lamb…excellent. As you can read we absolutely loved the food. Service was stellar. Ryan was so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Wine service the same. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about this place.
This is my first time taking the time out of my day to leave a review on a place, but I've never seen such amazing service, most pleasant, polite, & accommodating staff. I'd accidentally ordered my pasta with meat & I don't eat meat. That was my fault and I didn't say anything because I probably should've read the menu more carefully. My server saw that neither me or my friend were touching the pasta and he took it back, apologized (he didn't have to he didn't do anything wrong), and finally told us dessert, drinks, and cheese plates were on the house. They also brought chocolates! The food that I did get to eat however, was out of this world. The red snapper is a must. I can't wait to come back here & im telling all of my friends and family that they must come to Ai Fiori as well.
🙂
Came here for a birthday dinner and overall the experience
Came here for a birthday dinner and overall the experience was good. The service was amazing, our server was attentive, answered all our questions, and explained the menu items very well. I would give it 5 stars but the food was just not as good as I thought it was. I did the 4 course prix fixe, got the polipo, spaghetti, and astice (lobster). The spaghetti was probably the best, I expected a bit more out of the lobster. I probably would not come back here again as its more for the experience, but I would definitely recommend for others to come here and give it a try!

Wonderful service and great food, We had a the "Spaghetti" with blue crab and the vegan version was also amazing. The Squid ink pasta came in a close second. The wine and cocktail list is one of envy, highly recommend this place for a good eat.

Went here for my friends birthday, and I'm quite happy I did. We started with some bread which was average. I then got the steak tartare which had very rich flavor and paired nicely with the bread it came with. Then I got the veal ravioli and the veal was melt-in-your mouth fantastic and the tomatoes added nice flavor contrast. I then got the steak which was cooked to a perfect medium rare and super tender. The potatoes were cooked nicely as well. For dessert, I got the Mandorla which was a vanilla cake with almond pudding and cherry-red wine sorbet on top. The flavor combination of those three along with the moist texture of the cake made for a beautifully executed dessert. Our server was fantastic and really made an effort to answer all our questions as well as get to know a bit about us without being overly-intrusive.Restaurant wasn't too loud either. Nice ambiance.Would highly recommend 4.8/5

This is the first Michelin restaurant where I felt like the food was a bit of an underwhelming experience. I think the most popular dish is the Trofie Nero (the squid ink pasta) and that was good. However, the rest of the other dishes was just alright and didn't quite blow my mind. The octopus was slightly overcooked though I would still recommend getting it to try the black pepper pesto. The blue crab spaghetti was waaay too salty. The duck breast was also a bit hard even though the meat was pink. The bread offered in the beginning was just not good at all - hard, dry, meh. One thing they seem to do is to play with textures of the food, which I appreciated. However, the flavors missed its mark. I also wish the dish plates were warmed up just a bit more to keep the food a bit hotter. Will prob not return again.
😍
Okay I actually came back here last night and wow.
I wish I took pictures but overall, I was so impressed. The main difference was that I did the chef's menu tasting with the sommelier pairing. All of the dishes (with the exception of one which was just okay) were amazing. You can really notice there's an attention to detail and creativity in every dish. It's a bit pricey but I would highly recommend going with the tasting menu to experience the restaurant's full range. The sommelier, whose name I didn't catch, was incredibly knowledgeable. We loved the pairings she gave us.I take back what was said, they deserve their Michelin star.

Very disappointing meal.
I took my cousin here for his birthday dinner and we got the four course prix fixe. For the antipasti, we got the terrine and tartare di carne. For pasta, we got the orechiette and trofie nero, and for the entree, we got the dentice and anatra. The antipasti and pasta were alright and presentation was on point, but the pasta were not as good as other Michelin restaurants we've been to, or even other non Michelin Italian restaurants we've been to. The entrees were very subpar - my dentice came out cold and looked very unappetizing. We didn't even end up finishing the majority of our entrees. Beyond the taste and presentation of the meal, the service was particularly bad. We came here at 9 PM on a Wednesday, and most of the tables around us were empty. Despite this, we found it difficult to flag down our waiter, and the server who was pouring our water continuously interrupted our conversation to try to take our plates away before we were done. Needless to say, the service made the experience unenjoyable. This is definitely the worst Michelin restaurant I've been to, and would not recommend.

Loved everything about Ai Fiori from beginning to the end.
We came here for my husband's birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The hostess was very sweet and friendly. We were seated right away. Our waiter was funny, helpful and attentive. We did the prefixed menu and everything was so flavorful, delicious and beautifully presented. The lamb chops were fantastic! I would come back here again and again. Loved everything about our time at Ai Fiori.
I had the spaghetti and my husband had the orecchiette. Both were divine. The service here is excellent. The food and personnel made this a truly memorable experience. When we are back in town, we will definitely dine with Ai Fiore again.

Very small portions in the tasting menu, and didnt tell us what would be in tasting menu. Could have ordered steak instead of duck. Doesnt feel Italian. Service was great and environment nice.

Food Below expectations. Service and environment were great.
Environment is great. Service was good. Food was below expectations. Black pasta didn’t have much taste. The octopus for appetizer was too hard (cooked beyond the point). The duck was ok. Finally the chocolate mouse was great but the coconut pudim was not that good.
We came with high expectations and the food was ok minus.

I took myself out on a solo date here last night and it did
I took myself out on a solo date here last night and it did not disappoint. Everyone who was working was incredibly nice and welcoming. Ryan was wonderful, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, and Guillermo, the sommelier, was fantastic. He answered all my questions about the wine, gave great recommendations, and worked with me on a substitution for the Chardonnay as I'm not a fan.I had the chef's tasting menu with the sommelier wine pairing. All the food was wonderful, timed out perfectly, and the 7 courses left me full but not overly so. The butternut squash was my favorite course, followed very closely to the steak tartare.I look forward to returning soon.
