I can't thank the manager enough for making our family reunion special! We booked a party of eight and then 12 additional guests arrived early and needed to eat! Somehow they made room for everybody. The food was great per usual. Definitely recommend for fun vibes.

The atmosphere is fun, alive and vibrant and our server's knowledge of menu allergies was extensive which we were grateful for since someone in our party had some allergy restrictions.

Brunch on Saturday 7/13, poor service with Mohamed.
Waited for menus then beverages took a while , when we finally ordered our meals and only arrived two came that were hot and 10 minutes later the two cold ones came and we couldn't eat together. When we check with Mohammed, he was sitting at the hostess stand, talking to someone & he said it was two different kitchens. Poor attentive service. Then we had to ask someone for more water and a desserts menu. Then he dropped off the bill no thank you or nothing.. Food quality was good but I will not return due to bad service

THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!! I am an event planner for a very, HN family. I do events all over New York and I WILL NEVER return to Catch. I walked into the rooftop with a friend to experience the environment and I was looking at the menu. It was dark so I used my flashlight on my phone and the hostess literally chastised me for "shining it in her eyes" (when her back was to us) and then asked me if I would like her to do that to me. Are you serious?? COMPLETELY OFFENSIVE, DISRESPECTFUL and DISCRIMINATORY. She is complete TRASH and I will never hold an event there nor will I recommend it to any of my contacts or friends. Do yourself and your clientele a favor and fire that girl who was hosting tonight. The manager (Daniel) was accommodating however, I doubt he will enforce any corrective behavior as he seemed more nervous than anything. Completely disappointing!

The food and drinks were amazing. Very cool vibe. Our waiter was very attentive. The door is hard to find as it isn't actually on 9th. Had heard about Catch for years. Glad we finally got to eat there.
I have never liked the inside of Catch.
Even when empty, the acoustics are so bad that you can't hear the person across from you. That said, I love the rooftop. The atmosphere is so fun and the mood is great. This time, it wasn't worth it at all. The food is mostly good, but very expensive for what it is. And this time, the service was awful, starting off with the nasty manager at the front with the ear piece on: i don't know if I've ever been made to feel so small at a restaurant. No thank you. I'll never be back.

Initially, the ambiance felt a bit underwhelming which the indoor dining didn't quite match my expectations. However, the outdoor seating was lovely. The food was amazing, especially the octopus, which is always my go-to. My server was attentive and ensured our drinks and appetizers arrived promptly. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with one of our orders--it never came out, but we were still charged for it, along with another item we didn't even order. Thankfully, I checked my receipt and avoided paying an extra $50 for items we didn't get. Overall, it was a great experience.

Amazing Service from the bar to the table.
Ambiance was nice! It was quite loud on a Monday, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Wagyu steak just melts in your mouth. My fav dish was the Tartar trio. Oysters were super fresh as well! No pic! Sorry. Rock Shrimp tempura was absolutely the best! A little pricey, but well worth it.

Whatever their loss, so we decided to try something nearby and Catch was the first thing in the list! It's kinda in a hidden location, but once you find it you'll go upstairs to the second floor using their elevator. The second floor is the indoor seating, but their top floor is where they have rooftop seating. I made a reservation, but it took a while to be seated. We ended up sitting outside in their rooftop and it's absolutely beautiful and nicely decorated. Now on to the food!! Come with a group! All the food is meant to be shared and they come out once it's ready! Starters Edamame: Seasoned to absolute perfection Pretzel Bread: Light and fluffy and the whipped honey mustard butter omgoshhh is amazing! Truffle Fries: Great! Entrees Catch Roll: You can't go wrong with this! It was amazing! Wagyu Fried Rice: my favorite thing on the menu! Don't touch the bowl it's hot hahaha! Crispy Shrimp: so fun and flavorful! Wagyu Surf & Turf Roll: This was so good! You don't need it with Soy sauce! Just try it on it's own! Dessert: "Hit me" Chocolate Cake: Such a fun and interactive dessert! Catch you were amazing and I can't wait to be back! Reminds me of Nobu, but so much better!

After taking the elevator to the 4th floor, we entered into a space that had a decadent outdoor seating area and the entire restaurant was fully committed by the time we left. The waitstaff was exceptional. From start to finish, we were treated with white glove service, and our glasses were never empty. The food......oh, the food. We all chose the Tasting Menu and each and every item was exquisite. The presentation was exemplary, all of the meats were cooked to perfection, well seasoned, and thoroughly enjoyed. Just when you thought it was over, they outdid themselves with the dessert. Once again, they presented us with scrumptious items, mouth-watering drizzle sauces, and unique explosions of flavor. The photos/videos will not do justice to what you will experience and enjoy every memorable moment.

Went in specifically for the brunch prix fixe menu as a recommendation from friends. $85 for two people is quite a good deal IMO and included a bottle of champagne?! Everything that we ended up ordering was delicious. The staff all were attentive and hospitable. Interior was chic and it got really busy really fast so reservations are a must. Onto the food: everything was delicious, and I really mean that -- everything. Our favorite items (and items that we order when available at different Catch locations) are the TRUFFLE SASHIMI, CRUNCHY RICE CAKES and CRISPY SHRIMP. Honestly, you can't go wrong with ordering any of those. Will always make a stop to Catch NYC when I'm in town and totally recommend coming to try their brunch prix fixe menu!
This was a nice rooftop restaurant in Chelsea.
We got a bottle of rose for the table which was quite good. They had a bunch of sushi options to select from so we got a mix of everything. I liked everything I tasted. Service was also good and I liked the ambience of the rooftop. There could have been a bit more lighting but it was a nice set-up.

We ordered several small dishes made of raw fish and they were very tasty, but very expensive. The acoustics were terrible. It was a deafening noise! I don't know if we would go back, as it really bothered us.

turns into a club at night. so if you have a late night dinner reservation you can stick around on the upper floor. it has multiple floors with a nice terrace with quasi outdoor seating. reservations are recommended. good for couples/ friends night out. can be loud indoors. The seafood is overpriced for some dishes. HOWEVER the HITS II menu that is $95 pp for a minimum of 4 people is a STEAL. all dishes are shared amongst the table and you get to try multiple things. down side is you cant eat the whole plate if you love it. Starters: pretzel bread - warm, delicious. edamame and salad were standard Raw & Rolled: Truffle sashimi - the ponzu truffle puree I could eat with a spoon. its delicious. the sashimi was fresh but the puree took it over the top. otherwise we loved the crispy shrimp and hellfire roll. the catch roll was a miss. Entree: BEST: wagyu gyoza / filet mignon / Truffle fries (cant go wrong with them). GOOD: branzino (fish was perfectly cooked but other dishes were better executed with better flavor) NO: wagyu fried rice. total miss. would sub out that dish. dessert: huge tower of donuts with do it yourself sauces. it was fun and a lot of dessert. despite the sheer size of the donut tower the hit me chocolate cake was better and decadent.

Quite amazing. Reservations are a must. I recommend go early as it gets packed after 5:30. There is outside seating permitting. Food was awesome. I had the grilled Branzino! Nice! On the expensive side!

It was a packed night tonight at CATCH but the service did not disappoint at all! It's a very upbeat , but subtle and pleasant atmosphere. The host seated us maybe 5 minutes after we arrived. Without hesitation we jumped right into our drinks and of course we need that sparkling water with some lemons on the side. I had the mojito and if was good . I did not get an appetizer but ordered the salmon and veggies and side of the grilled asparagus. I loved the crispiness of the salmon skin and the texture was perfect..the asparagus was perfect ! The branzino also was a hit and so was the lobster Mac and cheese ! The winner was the truffle fries believe it or not! They were so tasty. Overall this was definitely worth every dime ! The atmosphere, our server was amazing, food slapped and we all had a great time ! Will definitely revisit again !
Evening to cancel
I just want to point out that Italians are viewed with great distrust, so much so that at the entrance they asked for a passport and credit card which they withheld until the table was paid for, incredible but true.

During dinner last Friday, one of the hostesses (blonde girl) was quite rude to my girlfriends and me for no apparent reason. Strangely, she seemed to be quite friendly and flirtatious with my male friends, which unfortunately ruined our overall experience.

It has two floors. When I went I went to the top floor which is small and intimate. I ordered the Catch Roll, Crispy Shrimp and Nori Tacos. Everything was good! The sushi was not too oriental however it was tasty. I really enjoyed their crispy shrimp and their nori tacos. The service was decent. Price of the good is a little high however I guess it's comparable for seafood market.

Chef's Counter is the place to be...
First of all ask to sit at the Chefs counter. You get to watch all that is going on in the kitchen. They give you amazing things gs to try for free. Finally the food is amazing. The sushi with waygu beef and lobster was phenomenal. Next the grilled octopus...Best ever. Final recommendation is the mushroom spaghetti. Cecil was our waiter and Daniel the GM could not have been nicer. Spent a fabulous evening with a dear friend from college. Will go back.

We went with a reservation (not much advance notice). The girls who welcome you are more pretty than friendly. The place was full and the first table assigned on the second floor, in front of the kitchen, was not my favorite. I asked if I could change and they promptly gave me another one. The tables are separated by a very short distance so you can hear perfectly what is being said next to you, but hey, it's a trendy, busy place...you already know what you're going to find. Very good quality of service from the waiters, and within the sushi (which was our choice) the blue crab rolls were excellent! The dessert was also very delicious. When we finished dinner we had a drink at the bar, which has a good decoration and atmosphere. The drink was nothing out of this world. It is expensive (for a tourist) and noisy, but the food is delicious.
Bad feeling
This is the second time we’ve had our family get together, which we thought would be an annual thing but clearly after tonight, I don’t think we will return. My nephew spent over $2500 for dinner for a family of 7, the service and food were great. The wines, we ordered 3 bottles and bottles of Pellegrino were flowing and we even ordered a few desserts. What was uncalled for was telling us we had to leave. No problem but the banter between my nephew and whoever told us to leave was uncalled for and disrespectful. I believe that if you’re in the service business, you need to appease your clients. We didn’t feel appeased in any way. Going forward, I will not recommend this establishment and I will make sure to pass this feeling along.
Loud, crowded with no menu flexibility
From the website, this looks like a restaurant with good clientele, moderate noise and some gluten free options on the menu. It turned out to be very club-like, extremely loud (could hardly hear my partner) and virtually no gluten free flexibility on the menu. If it wasn't gluten free, they would not change the menu. Sushi and salads don't count---they are already naturally gluten free.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
