Saturday 4/2 was my birthday.
My daughter brought me here for dinner after a show. We were about 30 minutes early for our reservation but the staff could not have been more accommodating. The waitstaff and hostess go out of their way to make you feel as if you're the only customers there. Our waiter took the time to answer my questions regarding the specials. We started with the Housemade Ricotta and the sausage and pepper garlic toast. Both were so delicious , I was literally scraping the last bits of the ricotta with my bread. I ordered a special, campanelle pasta with spring peas and prosciutto in a cream sauce, Again, so delicious, I ate every morsel! My daughter mentioned it was my birthday and I was presented with a beautiful chocolate cake, complete with vanilla gelato and cherries. Because she had ordered us a "godfather cannoli", they boxed up my cake and all the toppings for me to take home. When the cannoli came to the table, it was beyond beautiful. Thankfully there were three of us to share it. It would easily feed five people. Three delicious gelatos, toppings - a true masterpiece ! I can't thank Quality Italian enough for making my birthday such a special event!!

I heard about this place three or four years ago, and I
I heard about this place three or four years ago, and I finally made it. I was fascinated by the idea of this chicken Parmesan pizza, where the "crust" is a 3 lb chicken cutlet. It was everything I hoped it would be. Also has gelato for dessert - homemade. Tremendous! Twelve hours later, and I'm still full.
🙂
The absolute best thing on the menu is the chicken parm
The absolute best thing on the menu is the chicken parm pizza!!!! 10/10. Thick chewy dough, perfect ratio of cheese and sauce, and a fair amount of fried chicken sprinkled on top. Others apps that I tried that were all fairly good were the crispy calamari, homemade ricotta cheese, and tuna carpaccio. For drinks I ordered the tricolore spicy margarita- loved the look of it (tricolor ice cube) and it tasted great, but could use a little more spice (because it wasn't spicy at all, despite the chili-infused honey). For dinner I ordered a special of the night- homemade black truffle gnocchetti. The flavor profile worked, but did not love the texture of the small gnocchi. I would definitely eat here again (and most likely just order the chicken parm pizza for dinner). Great location- VERY close to many of the Broadway shows (consider booking a reservation here if your show is close-by). Service was 5/5 stars.

Went to NYC for a client visit and took our client here.
Amazing! The service was fantastic and the food was great. Loved the location of the restaurant on the second level of the building. We'll be coming back on our next trip to NYC.

A friend was in from Czechia and looking for Italian food
A friend was in from Czechia and looking for Italian food in NYC. For consistency, great service, and great location, can't do better than Quality Italian. It's on the high-end side but worth it. The food is exceptional, with great drinks and good portions. The staff is attentive but not overbearing and they allowed us to eat, visit and enjoy our lunch with no feeling of pressure that we were overstaying our welcome. Now, its not lost on me that Italian food is quite personal and regional and controversial when being discussed. Quality Italian has created a great offering but you'll have to visit to see if it becomes your favorite. It's great for a table of two and even better for larger groups.
😍
This place is exactly what the title is: QUALITY italian.
The service is amazing and the ambience is lively. Perfect for eating with friends and going on dates. I do warn families with smaller children because it is definitely not that kid friendly. I LOVED the chicken parmesan pizza. Instead of crust/dough, it is replaced with a huge piece of chicken. The chicken parmesan is very expensive, but it is perfect for a group of four. Overall, their food looks beautiful and plated nicely.
Amazingggg spot. Started off getting there at 9:15pm for our 2 person reservation. They informed us they were running 20 min or so behind due to some lingering tables. Totally understandable, the ambiance is nice lol! We took a seat on the bar side. We didn't order any drinks but they looked good! We ended up waiting until 10:00pm to be seated but we were fine with it since we were looking forward to the food and we had a seat to wait. When they sat us they thanked us for our patience and informed us they were bringing out a starter on the house. We ordered right away since we had time to look at the menu. We got 2 Caesar salads and the starter on the house was the housemade ricotta. Both were fantastic. Definitely recommend getting the housemade ricotta. It comes with sunflower seeds (? Not positive but some type of seed) and chili honey on top with toasted sesame bread. Oh it was delicious. Then we got filet mignon meatballs, Tuscan fries and of course the chicken parm pizza (the classic). The meatballs were so tender, they split as soon as you put a fork in it. The fries were good, but nothing super special but still good. And the chicken parm pizza was delicious. Such a unique entree. Definitely recommend the meatballs and/or the chicken parm pizza. We then got dessert. We were in between gelato flavors and our waiter Sergei recommended the Burnt Marshmallow or the Ferrero Rocher. We went with the burnt marshmallow and the Tiramusi cake. Sergei ended up bringing the Ferraro rocher as well! So we had 3 large desserts!!! He was a fantastic waiter!! Overall I give Quality Italian a 10/10!!! Great ambiance, wonderful service and fantastic food. Definitely a spot to check out.

Great couples evening at QI
My wife and I and another couple had a great experience at QI. Service was polite and professional, cocktails were expertly made. Atmosphere in the restaurant area was bustling in a good way, though the bar was more of a din. The menu had many interesting choices across traditional Italian and steakhouse. Desserts were delicious. It is expensive as you would expect in this neighborhood, but delivered a great experience.

Had a wonderful meal at Quality Italian, on the Northeast
Had a wonderful meal at Quality Italian, on the Northeast corner of 57th and 6th. You can't miss it, from outside you can see the dining room of windows on the second floor. The ground floor has a small area with a bar and cocktail tables to the right. Walk straight to host stand #1 where they'll take your name and check you in. Go up the regal marble staircase with ornate banister to a crowded landing to see host stand #2, where it's like Finding Dory and you have to say your name again. I'm thinking, yea, I'm Frank, the same guy that just said 'I'm Frank' a minute ago to the other hostess with an iPad. Upstairs has a long bar that is always busy from the few times I've been, and more inviting then downstairs. The dining room is very nice, beautiful tile and wood floors, exposed ceiling, and drapes adorned the beautiful windows on the inside. Service was great. Not friendly, but professional. Fine. The menu was broken into small plates, sides, salads, apps, pasta, fish and white meat, and steak. We both had a salad - little gem Caesar for me, and fish dishes. I ordered the branzino which was perfect. Juicy, flavorful, crunch of skin, in what tasted like a puttanesca sauce but they called it Livornese (classy considering where puttanesca got its name, the first word every Italian boy hears his grandfather mutter). Broccoli rapini was very edible, not something I order, but my dining companion ordered it. I wasn't in the mood for desert, but once I learned they make their gelato in-house, I had to try it for research. They made a delicious cup of gelato with sour cherries and pistachios that was out of this world. So if you need something pre-theatre, or you find yourself in this part of town, you won't be disappointed by a meal here. Btw, I know everyone raves about the chicken parm pizza, but that's done now, despite the fact they pioneered it! And it's now borderline way too $$ much for what it is. We can move on. Maybe if you're a group of 6 you can get one for the table. But not for two ppl.
Quality Italian is a perfect lunch destination if you're looking for a fancier lunch. The food, service and atmosphere are all fantastic. We had the sausage and peppers garlic toast, gnocchi and paccheri. All meals were prepared well and delicious. I would recommend any of these options. A great lunch spot in a good location.
😍
I love the "Quality" franchise: first discovered Quality
I love the "Quality" franchise: first discovered Quality Meats back in December and I was so happy to try Quality Italian last night. The food and service met all my expectations! The atmosphere is quite modern, with cool music, industrial concrete and edison-type lightbulbs, and ample space between tables. The food is fantastic: we split a salad, steak and pasta, and it was plenty of food for our party of three (2 adults, 1 child). The NY chopped salad was piled high with crunchy veggies, salty/crispy salami and topped with small calamari rings. Tossed in a light vinaigrette, it was the perfect way to start the meal. The NY strip and paccheri amatricana were served together as the mains and they were delicious. We already knew the steak would be perfectly cooked from our experience at Quality Meats, but the pasta really took it next level. The paccheri (large hollow tubes) were made in house and was coated with just the right amount of rich guanciale (cured pork jowls/cheek) tomato sauce. I savored every bite and almost licked the plate. The service is top-notch too...the wait staff are attentive and friendly. Cannot wait to try the other pastas and their famous chicken Parm pizza next time!
Great service, AMAZING gelato! This is truly a great place, loved the gnocchi!

We were surprised that this restaurant was PACKED at 9:00PM
We were surprised that this restaurant was PACKED at 9:00PM on a Tuesday evening. But it all made sense when we tasted their food. The complimentary garlic monkey bread was soft, tender, fresh and hot. We have always thought that a good Italian restaurant experience must begin with great bread. And this was top-of-the-line legit bread. Then came the pasta. Cooked perfectly, sauce was amazing and addictive, just perfect in every way (the portion could have been larger though, especially for the price).Their rock-star creation. Chicken Parmesan Pizza, was off the charts. It's not pizza; it's shaped like a pizza, served on a pizza tray. Truly unbelievable! They offer two versions: get it "a la vodka" style, and thank us later. It comes with shakers of red pepper flakes and dried olives, as well as a bowl of arugula and honey for drizzling. And last, the "smores", which is really smores gelato, was one of the best desserts we have ever had. Absolutely amazing in every way.Quality Italian is a winner, for sure. Don't miss this one.
😍
The chicken parm pizza is outstanding.
Top 5 food I've ever had and it is so much. Pretty expensive but worth the cost
😍
The food and ambiance was amazing.
The chicken parm pizza for two ($38pp) with the hot honey and crushed red pepper was really good. I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.
I was lunching at Quality Italian during its infamous wine week, held three times a year, and known all over the United States. It is a oenophile's dream, this time with the well regarded distributor Winebow pouring their repertoire. However, while wine week is about celebrating the noble grape, Quality Italian's food comes from the back of the pack to win the race.
Quality Italian, along with Quality Meats and Smith and Wollensky, are in the Allen Stillman family of restaurants, all decent but having a whiff of that chain restaurant homogeny. Yet, Quality Italian surprises with its innovative kitchen and personal service. Each dish was special and tasted wonderful. Of course, the chicken parm, made to look like a pizza, is the restaurant's signature, but everything is excellent, and the multiple steak offerings are beautiful pieces of meat. Even the desserts are celebratory and sublime. My group of friends and I were at Quality Italian from 12:15 to 5:00, drinking and eating non stop. Our server Natasha didn’t miss a beat, with food, wine, and vodka arriving in a revolving door of gluttonous imbibing. We had a ball,
Quality Italian’s space is masculine, and mahogany rules, but an array of flowers tempers the macho ambiance. It is a very attractive room. Wine week is always a unique and indulgent experience, but Quality Italian should be destination dining in its own right. It is a great NY restaurant. Bravo!

This place offered one of the most unique dish I've had.
I had The Classic Chicken Parm Pizza, Potato & Robiola Gnocchi, grilled mushroom for 3 people. It was A LOT of food and pizza was so good, it was basically a chicken parm on a pizza form with no crust. I have to point out that this is on the expensive side (more than $70 for one pizza since the requirement is 2 people price), but it is worth trying! The food was good and service was great overall.

Great Food & Lively Atmosphere!

I wanted to treat my Wife to a romantic dinner, on a Sunday evening, after a couple's massage at a spa on the Upper East Side (UES). I found Quality Italian (QI) in a search for romantic restaurants on the UES.
First, I'll address the negatives. QI is not located on the UES; it's on 57th & 6th (if you consider that location a "negative"...lol). The only other negative was the dessert, which I'll address later.
Our reservation was for 8:30 pm; we arrived 15 minutes early and were promptly seated. I requested a romantic setting and we didn't get one. But, the atmosphere and service MORE THAN made up for that. It was near full capacity and the crowd was very diverse, friendly and lively, and so was the staff.
We ordered drinks, appetizer, entrees and dessert. Drinks were very good, and the bartender accommodated my Wife's special request.
For appetizer we shared the Sausage Toast. It was made with sweet Italian sausage and topped with pickled onions & peppers; a great starter!
For entrees, my Wife had Hanger Steak (medium-well) with sauteed shallots & garlic; I had the Branzino with grilled onions & red peppers. We both had sauteed spinach sides. All were cooked to PERFECTION!
For dessert (the other "negative" lol), we wanted the Chocolate Cake, but our server informed us that they were out! Bummer! However, he offered to find out how long it would take to make another. We declined and opted for the Tiramisu. The look and taste of the Tiramisu QUICKLY ERASED ALL disappointment!
Overall, it was pricey. But the atmosphere, DIVERSE crowd, EXCELLENT food & drinks, and OUTSTANDING service were worth it! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you treat yourselves to dinner at Quality Italian!
😍
Amazing food great service.
The quality of the food reminds me of my trip to Italy with a little city twist. Absolutely perfect
😍
an overall nice experience.
delicious food and drinks. the service was perfect. nice date night
🤮
Went there to celebrate a birthday.
The place is beautiful BUT every single person in my party was dying of thirst later that night. We ordered amongst other things the chicken parmigiana pizza that was deceptively priced. Why not just say $76???? I'll tell you why - who would order a $76 chicken entree- nobody - See picture. The waiter was great( otherwise I would have given 0 stars). When a meal is over $400 you don't expect to spend the night drinking gallons of water........
🙂
It was my first time visiting Quality Italian even though
It was my first time visiting Quality Italian even though I've had it bookmarked for a while. Upon entering, the hostess checked for vaccine card and also offered to coat check. My friend and I shared an appetizer and two plates of pasta: Housemade Ricotta, Dry-Aged Porterhouse Agnolotti, and Spicy Lobster Rigatoni Alla Vodka. +Ricotta was delicious. Definitely try this. The texture was so smooth and perfect in flavor. Even the grilled bread was amazing. This was simply the best ricotta I've ever had. +Spicy lobster was just ok, definitely on the saltier side; they cook this on the table side in front of you so that was a pretty cool touch. +The Agnolotti was fantastic and was the highlight of the meal. It literally melts in your mouth. I'm still dreaming about this spectacular dish! Service was amazing at first, but really slowed down during the dinner rush. We made reservations on a weekday at 6pm which wasn't too bad, but around 6:30, the place was absolutely packed. We really wanted to try their dessert, but it was difficult getting our server's attention so we, unfortunately, had to skip it.Overall, Quality Italian is perfect for any occasion: date night, business dinners, or even with family! I'll be definitely returning to try their other dishes and desserts!

This restaurant was recommended to me by my sister. The food was outstanding. The corn creme brulee side was one of our favorites. The amatriciana was also delicious. We had the chicken parm pizza as well- but we preferred other items on the menu more. Our server was friendly and helpful. Quality Italian really made our birthday celebration special. Definitely coming back
We chose this restaurant because it was right around the corner of our hotel. Boy, am I glad we dined here. The drinks were great & our dinner was fabulous-we had the chicken parmigiana pizza. Plus service was excellent. We will definitely return on our next visit to the city.
😍
EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL
Met friends here for the first time. Went for a drink at 5:30 and sat at our table at 7 p.m.. Felt very safe - the staff wore mask and were careful of not getting to close. The starters were, rice balls and sautéed mushrooms both delicious. I got a veal chop, friends, pork chop with cooked cherries on top which they said were amazing and another friend sea bass. Everything was much better then we thought. Our server gave us a complimentary dessert and he was very helpful with the wine list. The wine list is a little pricey, but we were already there and wanted wine with dinner. The restaurant got pretty crowded around 8, but customers sat at their tables. As large as the restaurant is, we felt like if was safe and being handled well. Would definitely go back. Wonderful food.
😍
Delicious meal and service
Came here for dinner on the recommendation from a server at Tavern on the Green and it was AMAZING! From the appetizers, to the wine to the main courses… the artichoke appetizer and sausage bruschetta started off the meal. My mom had the pesto pasta and I had some amazing pasta with porterhouse steak inside. Server was very helpful and the wine was also perfect.
😍
Absolutely Delightful on Every Level
After arriving on a red eye and walking all over the West Side, we spotted Quality Italian and thought we'd give it a shot even without a reservation. We were awfully early for dinner (but exhausted) and they sat us immediately. All staff super friendly and helpful. The food is DEElicious! The housemade ricotta is one of the great dishes EVER. We had just about one of everything and it was all fantastic. Serving was well-timed. Drinks and wine were perfect. Can't wait to return to NYC and Quality Italian. AND under $100 pp!
😍
Buzzing atmosphere, quality food, generous portions!
Vibrant atmosphere, authentic staff and incredible food. Generous portion standards and the highest quality ingredients. Menu can appear quite plain and over priced but when the food comes out it is worth every penny! Spicy lobster was delicious and not too spicy!
😒
An option for a casual Italian meal.
We already knew Quality Meats and went there to try the Italian. Food was fine, nothing especial. Service was chaotic. Not the best Italian restaurant in town, but worth a visit for a casual meal.
This restaurant has an interesting menu, well prepared, good service, good location and is fairly priced.
