Very, very overrated food and service. Ghastly.
Ooomphf. Don’t be fooled by the swanky name and decor. STK has sadly become a mainstream “steakhouse” akin to Outback Steakhouse. Ended up at this location for a company lunch meeting. My steak was $90 and looked and tasted like a $10 Lidl/Aldi steak. It was ghastly to put it lightly. To make matters worse, my steak came out 20 minutes after everyone else’s food. Next time I’ll sway the company to go elsewhere, yuck! The manager really needs to get it together.
On Saturday 11th of March, we had reservation at 19:45 for a party of five. Upon our arrival the entrance was packed with people waiting and the reception made no comment on the waiting time. Security kept asking guests to move out of the way, but there was nowhere to go. We referred to the receptionist various times to ask when our table would be ready, but we were brushed off every time. At 20:30 the staff could still not give any commitment on when the table would be ready. Other guests which arrived before us were also still waiting, so we decided to leave. Cleary the staff were accustomed to the restaurant being completely overbooked and dealt with the guests unengaged and hard-nosed. We cant judge on the food, never made it that far, but no steak in the world is worth waiting for an hour. There are so many better choices in Manhattan.
🤮
The worst dining experience in any midtown steakhouse.
EVER. And I've been in this neighborhood since 2008 and tried all of the steakhouses more than once. Here is why:1. The food. The porterhouse we ordered was overcooked, dry, impossible to swallow. It also doesn't come with any sauce, which is fine with us, because we don't like sauces on our steak to begin with, but the server pushed really hard on two different kind of sauces, almost $20 in total, and they were so terrible, we barely touched them.2. The service. The service was soooo terrible. Our server showed up twice the entire time and just rushed through the order and pushed the sauces, and asked if we want to see the dessert menu. A manager looking man showed up once, and asked how was it, but left before we could even answer the question. RUDE! He clearly didn't care how we felt about the meal at all. The The bus boy was at the table twice and add water, that was it. When we asked to switch out a glass, we had to ask three times. Moreover, it was a birthday, which was made clear on the reservation, but they did absolutely nothing about it. 3. The ambiance. It's a nice space, but wayyy to crowed and loud to be considered a nice steakhouse. They put way too many tables and super close to one other. You can't help but hearing everything said at the next table and smell their food.Overall, it's a terrible experience, and I would never come back here again. Not for business or personal. There are so many other options in midtown, why bother?

We had reservations for 7:30pm, but we were not seated
We had reservations for 7:30pm, but we were not seated until 8:20pm. The receptionist was also rude about it. What was the point of having reservations if you will not honor it. Food--despite being a steakhouse, they got way overdone the medium rare steak. They were willing to take it back and cook a new one, but second was actually worse. The outside was burnt, way overdone than medium rare. It was more like well done. We also waited another 45 mins for them to bring up the second steak. At this point, we didn't want to keep waiting, so ate what they served. To be fair they did took the steak out of our bill, as they should. I would rather enjoyed my steak. Service---after we order your food, we pretty much could'd find the waiter. We would not ever come back here. This is also not a place that you can have conversation. It is extremely loud, you will feel your seats shaking. Don't be fooled by the pictures. It is a pretentious overpriced steakhouse trying to be like a nightclub with horrible food and service.

My brother planned a surprise engagement this past Sunday,
My brother planned a surprise engagement this past Sunday, March 5, 2023. We had a private room and were allowed to decorate the tables with some beautiful floral arrangements. We are assisted by Lee who was awesome! The music and ambiance were great! The restaurant is beautifully decorated as well.We were a group of 12 so, I will shared some of favorite dishes, drinks, and desserts.- Favorite Entrees were the Maine Lobster Linguini, Roasted Lamb Rack, and Maple rubbed Salmon.-Favorite sides were the Lobster Mac and Cheese , Tater tots, asparagus, and OMG the SWEET Corn PUDDING was amazing! - Favorite cocktails were the Spiced Watermelon, French Love, Perfect Margarita and mojito. -Favorite Desserts were the Bag O Donuts, the Warm Chocolate Chip cookie, and cheesecake

The best thing was the olive oil for dipping your bread,
The best thing was the olive oil for dipping your bread, which says A LOT. I took my honey here for a nice dinner. The ambiance was ok - nice and sleek, but it was crowded and loud. Not the best place for a romantic dinner, but a good place to celebrate a birthday. Food was nothing special. Service was terrible. Would not recommend this restaurant.
😍
I came here this evening for happy hour.
For a Wednesday evening, it was definitely bustling, so getting there early to get a seat either at the bar or lounge seating is a must! There is also a bar at the back of the restaurant that was very busy. The DJ was amazing and was giving weekend vibes for a middle of the week happy hour! I tried the "award-winning" spicy watermelon cocktail, and I can see why it has won awards! The combination of tequila, St. Germain and watermelon were absolutely magical! Plus, the spicy rim (I think it had Tajin) was a nice hint of spice! I also tried the slider and truffle fries and calamari, which were both on the happy hour menu. I would definitely say that STK has one of the most comprehensive happy hour specials since it included over 10 cocktails and a plethora of different food options. Overall, I highly recommend for happy hour, just get there early for a seat!
😍
I'm going to be short and sweet with this review.
WE HAD A BLAST. Korine did a fantastic job. The food was phenomenal and the vibe was A1. Pricey but worth every penny.
🤮
Don't waste your time making a reservation.
They overbook, and leave you standing against the wall for more than forty minutes with not even an apology. Thanks for making my niece's birthday special, Nathan M. Never again.

Best way to describe this place? If you want some drinks at the bar and some decent music on a Saturday night, or if you aren't really hungry and not planning on eating, this place is for you. The wait for a table is long, the wait for food is long, and odds are the temperature of your steak will be wrong. The dj and vibe is nice though.
🙂
Lee was great and made the experience even better.
The wait was insane with reservations but the service we received from Lee made up for it.
🤮
Worst steak dinner ever.
We had company outing for 8 people in mid town STK. We regularly visit steak houses and upscale restaurants. This was worst experience we had in years and we would never go back and don’t recommend to anyone who wants good steak in NYC. Here reasons why: 1. They play music so loud that not only we could hear waiter, can barely hear person sitting next to you. When we asked if music can be lowered or we can be moved, arrogant answer was it’s loud everywhere and they don’t lower sound for anyone. If we wanted to go to dancing club, music sound would be appropriate, not for expensive steak dinner. 2. They sit us in the small round table, where we can barely move hands. 3. Waiter recommended aged porterhouse instead of fillet. It come out dry and over cooked. 4. When we come in, 7 people where in and they made us wait in busy area for final person who was stuck in traffic and didn’t want to sit us. 5. Service was mediocre and felt rushed. Absolutely no class. We couldn’t wait to get out.

The Outback Steakhouse of New York City

Similar to an average chain ‘steakhouse.’ Not only were we disappointed with the food quality, the service was absolutely profane and distasteful.
We visited during restaurant week and ordered two set menus at $60 each (with a couple of supplementary add ons) 2 glasses of wine and 1 mocktail. That meal has currently cost us around $600. This is because when they take payment it is completed on an electronic device with payment pre loaded and no visible it's list. Our waiter brought ours to us which cost roughly $380. We thought this seemed a lot for what we had but thought with tip and tax etc it must add up. Our waiter left us with the device whilst we paid and we were given an option to print receipt. We wanted to see this to check it was correct so pressed this and got a message our server would bring the receipt over. After waiting about 5 minutes we asked the reception if someone was bringing it over. They seemed very confused and a Manager came out to ask what was wrong. We explained we were waiting for a receipt and she went to the back and returned with one. We left the restaurant and realised the receipt given was not anything we ordered and was also around $240. We went back in where everyone seemed very confused as to what had happened and it then transpired we had paid a different tables bill (for a different waiter) and were eventually given our correct receipt for $247. The restaurant asked us to pay our bill again which we obliged to and even added cash tip on again as before this error, service had been good and the Manager stated when we received refund for the payment error that would also include tip that we had already paid on card. We were relieved to be called later that night by the Manager to say it had been void and payment would be returned in a few days. Nearly 3 weeks later we have not had a refund and continue to chase up. We aren't even able to raise with our bank as restaurant took back the receipts to raise with their finance team. No comments on food or experience until this is resolved but will say it was not worth $600.
Visited for lunch on 23rd December and it was a lovely experience. I can't remember the name of our waiter but he was attentive without being intrusive, we ordered off the lunch menu which we found to be excellent value for money. Our steaks were all cooked perfectly and our meals were hot, my daughter and I shared a cookie dough dessert which was divine. I would highly recommend eating here if you're in the area.

Christmas time at the Park!
We had reservations while we were in town for Christmas. And while at the restaurant we spent over a hour and half on the phone with American Airlines cause they screwed up our flights. So we could not truly enjoy this amazing restaurant and dinner. The waiter Matthew and manager Quinn took extremely good care of us after learning what we were dealing with on the phone with AA. They went over and beyond customer service! I can not say enough about the staff here and especially Matthew and Quinn! We will most definitely be back and request Matthew as our waiter. He was a blast and so funny! They even brought us a heater for outside cause it was so cold!
This was a poor experience. The waiter who was in the shiny sparkly shirt not sure his name was just after our money. He was trying to get us to order an expensive bottle of whispering angel when we asked for just a glass. z when ordering the steaks he was just recommending toppings which was adding to the bill. We were then charged our bill which he read out to be 300 dollars and 50 dollars with a tip. Which is just crazy. It was not worth the price and the service was very poor. Just wanted our money rather than make it an enjoyable meal.
One of the worst and most overpriced restaurants we have been. I ordered a ribye which cost 120 and my expectation were really high but instead the outcome was below average to sh*t. Some starters were good, although everything fish related i cant describe how bad it was. The service so bad and there was a pressure to order quick etc which i did not like and expect from such a place. The vibe music and the setting 6/10. I have been at good restaurants and this is surely far away from what i expected paying 230 per person without drinks and with little to no food. I hope someone had informed me about it, i would 100% avoid it.
We were recommended this place for dinner before we came but wasn’t really suitable for our teenage kids , it’s more of a couples/friends place as opposed to family. Food and service were good but for me the steak was over priced , I had the $114 porterhouse steak , although well presented it didn’t taste like a 100 dollar steak to me. All sides are extra $18 each, I think this is standard for this type of place in NYC, even so I thought a little excessive. Good place if you want to treat the wife but avoid if going with kids, they won’t appreciate it.
😍

tasty food, the cocktails were amazing! this evening was so nice out and our server was running around making it happen! I think his name was louis or luis please give him credit! we will ask for him when we return!
It's my birthday month and I plan to celebrate all April long. STK got things started off correctly with a great service experience, ambience, and excellent food. Highly recommend. Wonderful hostess and waitstaff service on Sunday. Food was well prepared and presented. Truly enjoyed it! Will be back.

Brandon Fernandez was fantastic from start to finish, attentive and knowledgable.
Food was amazing, would highly recommend the fillet and lobster mac and cheese
😍
This is one of the best steak houses I've been to.
I ordered the filet mignon along with the vegetables. The fillet was absolutely superb. The service was bar none. I also ordered a Cabernet Savignon wine. They did a great job with pairing wine and food. There is no way to go wrong here. The service is outstanding. The menu choices will leave you craving for more.
😍
I'd first like to say, the restaurant itself is beautiful.
We were there celebrating a work promotion and were serviced by Adrian. Not only was she very attentive and patient, but she made it a point to make sure we felt special. It was our first time there and she helped us navigate through the menu and recommended different dishes. The food was absolutely amazing everything was fresh and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much Adrian for making the start of our very long night amazing ! We will be back soon

This place has gone WAY downhill
I have been eating here for years, but I'm done. A lot of restaurants have cut costs since the pandemic, but this restaurant has taken it to a new, awful level. Their burger says wagyu. It's not, it's a frozen patty. That'sa lie and that's really bad. But worse is that they used to serve fresh cut tuna tartare with avocado for $20 and it was great. Then they cut the portion size in half. Now it costs $29 for a tiny portion. Ok...but THEN they stopped using fresh tuna and put out an embarrassing mound of frozen tuna with ice crystals in the tuna on the plate. The portion even got smaller. They brought me out a new one and the tuna was freezer burned. Embarrassing. Cutting corners to this degree is very bad. The person next to me got a "6 ounce filet". It was maybe 3 or 4 ounces. Just bad business. Too bad. Used to be good. No wonder their managers and wait staff are leaving in droves.

My cousin from Maryland was very very excited to go to this
My cousin from Maryland was very very excited to go to this restaurant with her family for her birthday. It was 5 of us in total, the waiter was pleasant at first but then for some reason got impatient. He then said and i quote "i have other tables to go to", then sort of disappeared for about 15 minutes. We looked around and noticed the great service other people were receiving. We then started asking other waiters for help. There was a young Asian man that was so helpful picking up the bad weight from our African American brother. His tip was well earned and we greatly appreciate the young Chinese man holding up the restaurant's reputation. After paying the bill, we were kicked out if the vestibule while waiting for our uber in 20 degree's windy weather. Our bill came up to $600 for such bad service and care. Terrible service, this was my first time and it will be my last time attending. Thanks for reading!
🤮
I wish I gave it no stars! I went there for my sister's
I wish I gave it no stars! I went there for my sister's birthday and it was horrible. Everything was cold and tasted like it sat out for a while before serving it to us. And my appetizer which was a fried calamari tasted like a pigs ass and I had diarrhea for days! NEVER THE FUCK AGAIN!!
🤢
My experience with this restaurant has just been exhausting.
First, I ordered delivery through the website, and the estimated delivery time was an hour and 15 minutes later. Okay, a little long but at least they've let me know. I get a notification that my door dash driver is at the store about an hour later and I'm like awesome food should get here soon. My driver then proceeds to wait there for over an hour for my food that never arrives. I call this place multiple times to no answer. So eventually after it has been 2 hours since I ordered I go there myself in person. Of course, once I'm there in person they start to make my food right away, offer me a drink, throw in some dessert, and give me a refund. Got a little attitude but it's okay at least they're trying to make it right, right?Well I then finally leave with my food to discover there's no utensils with my to go order (steak which definitely needs a knife) and no ketchup for my fries. I'm just tired at this point. Food is okay but not worth the hassle. Mac n cheese is of course completely cold.
The front of house was understaffed. The manager just passed on to the server when we needed something which did not help her at all and just made her more stressed. Food was awesome. Service at the end of experience was not good. Had no idea who out new check was started with. We could not even get the check. Food was great again but service was a D+. Be aware.
😍
Delicious food, AMAZING ambiance, gorgeous and attentive
Delicious food, AMAZING ambiance, gorgeous and attentive waitstaff, vibes on 10! Really enjoyed our before broadway show dinner at STK. We came in on Saturday at 630. Definitely make reservations because it was packed. Can't wait to come back.
Food was great, and we had amazing service from Cristian. Cristian really helped us have a special evening. Thank you STK!

perfect and efficient service I would definitely recommend Sergey as a server as well as the cucumber stilleto.

No fish in the ceviche, no lobster in the Mac n cheese either. Steer away!!
Visually very nice, contemporary, trying hard not to be like your fathers old steakhouse. But monkey business comes from the kitchen. Ceviche was literally a cucumber salad in a bowl, with a slice of avocado and literally only six teenie pieces of fish. We sent it back and the manager raced over to apologize.
Maybe the chef just wiffed, but when the lobster Mac and cheese came, with only three Little pieces of lobster as big as the tip of your pinky, you feel violated.
New York prices mind you, and instead of having a chef that over delivers, the distinct feel is they’re trying to slip one by you, knowing you’re probably a tourist and will never be back.
Why would you go here when you can go to Keens, Luger‘s, or any of two dozen true, non-chain steakhouses in New York? Slippery chefs, not for me.
Of course, if having a DJ play Ka-thunka ka-thunka music while you eat your steak it is important to you, this is your place.
