We were recommended this place for dinner before we came but wasn’t really suitable for our teenage kids , it’s more of a couples/friends place as opposed to family. Food and service were good but for me the steak was over priced , I had the $114 porterhouse steak , although well presented it didn’t taste like a 100 dollar steak to me. All sides are extra $18 each, I think this is standard for this type of place in NYC, even so I thought a little excessive. Good place if you want to treat the wife but avoid if going with kids, they won’t appreciate it.

It's my birthday month and I plan to celebrate all April long. STK got things started off correctly with a great service experience, ambience, and excellent food. Highly recommend. Wonderful hostess and waitstaff service on Sunday. Food was well prepared and presented. Truly enjoyed it! Will be back.

This is one of the best steak houses I've been to.
I ordered the filet mignon along with the vegetables. The fillet was absolutely superb. The service was bar none. I also ordered a Cabernet Savignon wine. They did a great job with pairing wine and food. There is no way to go wrong here. The service is outstanding. The menu choices will leave you craving for more.

We were there celebrating a work promotion and were serviced by Adrian. Not only was she very attentive and patient, but she made it a point to make sure we felt special. It was our first time there and she helped us navigate through the menu and recommended different dishes. The food was absolutely amazing everything was fresh and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much Adrian for making the start of our very long night amazing ! I have been eating here for years, but I'm done. A lot of restaurants have cut costs since the pandemic, but this restaurant has taken it to a new, awful level. Their burger says wagyu. It's not, it's a frozen patty. That'sa lie and that's really bad. But worse is that they used to serve fresh cut tuna tartare with avocado for $20 and it was great. Then they cut the portion size in half. Now it costs $29 for a tiny portion. Ok...but THEN they stopped using fresh tuna and put out an embarrassing mound of frozen tuna with ice crystals in the tuna on the plate. The portion even got smaller. They brought me out a new one and the tuna was freezer burned. Embarrassing. Cutting corners to this degree is very bad. The person next to me got a "6 ounce filet". It was maybe 3 or 4 ounces. Just bad business. Too bad. Used to be good. No wonder their managers and wait staff are leaving in droves.

My cousin from Maryland was very very excited to go to this restaurant with her family for her birthday. It was 5 of us in total, the waiter was pleasant at first but then for some reason got impatient. He then said and i quote "i have other tables to go to", then sort of disappeared for about 15 minutes. We looked around and noticed the great service other people were receiving. We then started asking other waiters for help. There was a young Asian man that was so helpful picking up the bad weight from our African American brother. His tip was well earned and we greatly appreciate the young Chinese man holding up the restaurant's reputation.After paying the bill, we were kicked out if the vestibule while waiting for our uber in 20 degree's windy weather. Our bill came up to $600 for such bad service and care. Terrible service, this was my first time and it will be my last time attending. Thanks for reading!

My experience with this restaurant has just been exhausting.
First, I ordered delivery through the website, and the estimated delivery time was an hour and 15 minutes later. Okay, a little long but at least they've let me know. I get a notification that my door dash driver is at the store about an hour later and I'm like awesome food should get here soon. My driver then proceeds to wait there for over an hour for my food that never arrives. I call this place multiple times to no answer. So eventually after it has been 2 hours since I ordered I go there myself in person. Of course, once I'm there in person they start to make my food right away, offer me a drink, throw in some dessert, and give me a refund. Got a little attitude but it's okay at least they're trying to make it right, right?Well I then finally leave with my food to discover there's no utensils with my to go order (steak which definitely needs a knife) and no ketchup for my fries. I'm just tired at this point. Food is okay but not worth the hassle. Mac n cheese is of course completely cold.
The front of house was understaffed. The manager just passed on to the server when we needed something which did not help her at all and just made her more stressed. Food was awesome. Service at the end of experience was not good. Had no idea who out new check was started with. We could not even get the check. Food was great again but service was a D+. Be aware.

Visually very nice, contemporary, trying hard not to be like your fathers old steakhouse. But monkey business comes from the kitchen. Ceviche was literally a cucumber salad in a bowl, with a slice of avocado and literally only six teenie pieces of fish. We sent it back and the manager raced over to apologize.
Maybe the chef just wiffed, but when the lobster Mac and cheese came, with only three Little pieces of lobster as big as the tip of your pinky, you feel violated.
New York prices mind you, and instead of having a chef that over delivers, the distinct feel is they’re trying to slip one by you, knowing you’re probably a tourist and will never be back.
Why would you go here when you can go to Keens, Luger‘s, or any of two dozen true, non-chain steakhouses in New York? Slippery chefs, not for me.
Of course, if having a DJ play Ka-thunka ka-thunka music while you eat your steak it is important to you, this is your place.

Last night a couple of friends and I went to STK, 1st, we called 3 times to make sure our reservation was set and confirmed. they told us our reservations were set, yet when we came, they did not have us down for our 11pm reservation. They sat us down at the bar which was a lovely experience until someone stole my friends phone. While we are looking for her phone, their manager called the police on me JUST BECAUSE WE WERE LOOKING FOR HER STOLEN PHONE. He assaulted me and shoved me out of their building. I will never be returning again. the bartenders were the only reason this place is worth while.

Went on a Saturday night, had a great time.
One downside- we had reservations for 10:30 and only ended up sitting down at 11:15, the bar was full so our only choice was to stand and wait inside. The food was really good and service was on point. Would definitely recommend, although I'd get there earlier than your exact time.

Where to start..
When we arrived, the queue out the door seemed to be a good sign. Really, it's because there is no space inside the door for potential patrons to wait to be seated. While we waited outside, a doorman gave us each a wristband. It really was like entering a nightclub. You immediately get hit with how loud the music is - there is a DJ playing live Hip hop non-stop.
The restaurant is large, in terms of ceiling height. Floor space, not so much. We were seated at unstable tables that were set up in the middle of the floor in between actual restaurant tables. Our table was actually 2 small tables placed together with a white tablecloth over it. When placing our drinks back on the table, we had to be careful not so place them on the crevice that had formed between the 2 tables..
We were served by 2 waiting staff, which meant that they did not know what was going on with our orders/requests.
One of the waiting staff barely said 2 words to us outside of taking our orders.
2 of our party ordered a bottle of wine which was curiously not left on the table. They repeatedly had to ask for the waiter to give them a top up, of course this took ages as he had to go off and fetch the bottle.
They crammed in as many tables and patrons as possible, and the staff cannot keep up with it.
The steaks were nice. I mean, it was steak so it's hard to really get it really wrong. The sauces we chose were alright and the sides were good. However, it was way overpriced for the food and the service we received.

Started with the Tuna Tartare appetizer which was very good and we had the Wagyu Burger Bkft and the Truffle Steak and Egg as our entrees. The burger was solid but the steak was a little disappointing in that it had a bit of gristle and was very chewy. Overall, not bad. The $5 Mimosa was also a plus. Just wished the steak had been better.
From the time we came in until the moment we left, Sergei was attentive and helpful. Of course the food was amazing, but the atmosphere was par none.

After an hour, our waitress told us our "dining experience was almost over." A nice ambiance but overall bad experience. Would not recommend.

I've been to this restaurant twice - host table has always given me nothing but trouble. Unfortunately when a place becomes popular they tend to think they're the only restaurant people can spend money at. First time I came I had a reservation at 9, was there at 8:45, it was raining and cold and they made us stand outside waiting for a table. We were seated at 9:45. I booked a table outside by accident the guy checking me in said "well that's what you get for booking last minute". Kept quiet cause I just wanted to enjoy my meal, and I did even though it was raining and cold. Chilean sea bass was pretty good. Second time I decided to give them another try - maybe it was just the rain. Bad decision. We were 20 mins late for our reservation (5 mins past their grace period). I called to tell them I would be late and they said it would be ok. They cancelled our reservation and put us on standby. We waited 2.5 hours. Every time we asked they said we can't guarantee a time, you were late, it's your fault for being late. Reminded them how late they sat me last time but they just don't care - it's ok when they make a mistake but not when the customer does. I told them listen I have a large party tonight I can't let them wait so long, their smug manager said "well it's Saturday night I have plenty of large parties". After an unnecessary back and forth with their rude manager and incompetent host staff, my party just left. 2 hours to wait for a table and not even have a table offered at that point - sorry no steak is worth that much of a waste of time, and definitely no meal is worth the disrespect. Not my first steakhouse, not going to be my last, and certainly won't ever go here again. Enjoyed a wonderful (expensive) meal at Carmines up the street in Times Square. Carmines was super busy and we walked in and they seated us within 10 mins. That's called service. Food and bar service was ok both times. The really nice bartender felt bad for us and let us order some bread and drinks while we waited - something their disrespectful manager could have suggested we do instead of spending so much time telling us how we should have shown up on time. Only reason why they got 1 extra star.

This place is close to everything and the decor is beautiful. Once seated, NOUMEIR took great care of us. We loved all his suggestions and recommendations. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!!

When you don't get plates, it's a bad sign...
The food was very good, and felt like a proper 'steak experience'. However, the service let the whole thing down.
It started with drinks; a cocktail and a glass of prosecco. They took so long to arrive that we were most of the way through our starter. The old fashioned, at nearly $20 a glass, was one of the worst I have had at any high end establishment either side of the Atlantic. It certainly wasn't the twist on the classic the menu promised, and just tasted watered down and badly balanced. The prosecco had clearly been poured some time before, and had sat getting flat and warm long before it arrived.
We had Oysters to start, and no plates were provided. A different waiter, spotting the problem after about 20 minutes (ours having simply vanished) brought us some out.
Our steak then arrived, and the plates still took another 5 minutes to arrive for the mains, whilst the food sat and cooled between us.
We didn't stay for dessert.
It's not a cheap place, and you expect service commensurate with the cost of the experience. A (somewhat large) tip is expected as standard in the US which felt slightly egregious when, as a diner, plates are expected as standard.
Whilst we can't fault the food, I would not recommend it.

The STK Steakhouse Midtown NYC (STK) restaurant is an absolute amazing first class restaurant that offers top of the line service along with superbly made dishes.
In February of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at STK to celebrate our Happy Four Year Wedding Anniversary.
It was our first time visiting STK, and both my wife and I were deeply impressed with the restaurant’s interior decor, luxurious settings and the playing of R& B and Pop songs.
We were graciously welcomed by the restaurant’s staff and we were treated with great kindness and respect from our waiter, Sergey S.
Sergey S did a wonderful job on explaining STK’s menu offerings, addressing all of our inquiries, appropriately documenting our orders, and routinely checking in to see if our needs were met.
Sergey S exemplified great professionalism and I I definitely hope that he is well compensated for his services at STK.
In addition to our great service, my wife and I highly enjoyed all of our meals starting with our bread based meal, followed by our appetizer meal and then our entree meals and desert.
Our entrees which included the Long Island steaks was delicious seasoned, well-cooked, well proportioned and incredibly delicious. It truly was mouth watering and definitely ranks among our favorite steaks.
We’d like to thank STK for making our Wedding Anniversary special and highly recommend for everyone to visit and dine at this wonderful restaurant!!!
